Kristen Adam is an illustrator who grew up exploring the wild redwood forests of northern California. Her love of getting lost in the fantasies of her doodles led her to study illustration at California College of the Arts, where she discovered her passion for illustrating children’s books. Kristen’s work is a whimsical mix of digital media and traditional textures and features quirky critters bursting with personality. When Kristen’s not wandering the woods identifying wildflowers, she loves star gazing, reading sci-fi/fantasy novels, and snuggling her dog Charlie.

"Just like me"

Such an informative story. My youngest had to go gluten free after over a year of tests and biopsies. He doesn't have celiac but rather IBS ( which for him has all the same symptoms) and can't havengluten because of that. As I was reading this book to him he exclaimed "Where did you find this book written about me?!" Reading this book really felt.like we were reading about him.

Me as an 11 year old, the age the author was when she wrote this book helps me relate to her. Good for kids who feel insecure about Celiac Disease.
