Gourmet of another world

Rate this book
In a fantasy world where martial artists can split mountains and creeks with a wave of their hand and break rivers with a kick, there exists a little restaurant like this.

The restaurant isn’t large, but it is a place where countless apex existences will rush into.

There, you can taste egg-fried rice made from phoenix eggs and dragon blood rice.

There, you can drink strong wine brewed from vermillion fruit and water from the fountain of life.

There, you can taste the barbecued meat of a ninth grade supreme beast sprinkled with black pepper.

What? You want to abduct the chef? That’s not going to happen, because there’s a divine beast of unfathomable level, the Hellhound, lying at the entrance.

Oh, that chef also has a robotic assistant that killed a ninth grade supreme being with a single hand and a group of crazy women whose stomachs were conquered.

This is exactly like Black Tech Internet Cafe System but without any of the interest content. Instead of Video games and minor plot/character/etc development, it’s food (this smells/tastes amazing x10,000) and repetitive face slapping. Everyone is the same mindless arrogant clone with different names and backgrounds. Protagonist is dense and 'meh' personified.

To save you 1000+ chapters: Protagonist makes great food but it’s expensive. Arrogant people try to argue/attack/kill him because of this. Protagonist goes 'meh', strips them if they’re a guy, and kicks them out until they come back next time. Other people try the food and say it’s actually cheap for how great it is. Repeat.

Finished! At least with the ebook version. 505 chapters and I can't wait to get on his website and read more. If you like wuxia and cultivation books and enjoy reading about mouth-watering cooking, fights that always end with something becoming an ingredient and a never ending story that continually fascinates, this is for you. Highly recommended with a warning that the author is not English so some word usage is strange and you will become hungry at times. I advise you to read this at or before mealtimes to avoid excessive snacking. This took me 5 months reading this way, but it was worth it.

Pretty entertaining cultivation story centered around cooking cultivation and remaining a mysterious figure. Did not end up finishing, the story felt very repetitive for a very long portion of the book. Even in late stages of the book things about his cooking system were only somewhat teased to the readers but there wasn't much talked about it other than the possibility that someone else also had his system. I wish there was more about this exposed to the readers sooner and that it became a big part of the story because then it wouldn't have remained repetitive. The book is still funny and entertaining regardless.

It's quite a fun read. This is the novel that gives me depression about mortal vs immort al but it's also the cure of that particular depression. Haha how ironic.

Overall, it's a fun read and I really think a lot, learn a lot, realize a lot, and got some enlightenment.

It's one of those novel that I can get lessons in life. I can't say that it's the best but I assure you that it's good.

Oh and don't forget that this novel crave me for foods and torments me while thinking what it tastes like Bu Fang cooked.

I never been so annoyed by egg fried rice before in my life (╬▔皿▔)╯
After the first time, you don't need to show the audience that people are upset at the price of the rice but you do it pretty much every time
