Amazed I never heard of this outstanding man. Paul Cuffe lived from 1759 to 1817. A mixture of Black and Native American, he accomplished so much it is astonishing. From becoming a very successful businessman in Massachusetts, where he established a school that served both black and white children to promoting a back-to-Africa movement for slaves he was very accomplished.
