My name is Ariana Stuart. I might not be the best trainee--yet, but I try the hardest. Especially after what happened to my vampire princes and me. Now we have even more of a reason to fight for one another.

After the incident, The Council requests my presence at a meeting to discuss what happened. Foolishly, I believe it might actually be useful until they make a decision that shakes our world.

Even with the threats happening every day, I'm sent away from them. I know better than most that when fear enters the picture, common sense skitters away. This time is no different.

With laws and distance separating us, how are we ever supposed to fight the real monsters?

Into the Darkness is the second novel in the reverse harem series Ravana Clan Vampires.

E. M. Moore is a USA Today Bestselling author of Contemporary and Paranormal Romance. She's drawn to write within the teen and college-aged years where her characters get knocked on their asses, torn inside out, and put back together again by their first loves. Whether it's in a fantastical setting where human guards protect the creatures of the night or a realistic high school backdrop where social cliques rule the halls, the emotions are the same. Dark. Twisty. Angsty. Raw.

When Erin's not writing, you can find her dreaming up vacations for her family, watching murder mystery shows, or dancing in her kitchen while she pretends to cook.

Skip, pass, avoid, words that come to mind for this book

Spoilers...

The problem I have is really with the premise of this book. Vampires have human guards because they think fighting is beneath them...basically. Every vampire book I read, vampires are inherently aggressive creatures constantly fighting with their need for blood.. it just doesn’t make sense that back in the day they lived wild like that and then decided they wanted to put all that behind them for a more respectable life. They are stronger, faster etc. yet now a human with the physical training can take them down. Because they have no fighting skills whatsoever. And when a battle is breaking out, they huddle together in the background while their human guards protect...no way.. especially when the guard is the love of your life... this is just ludicrous to me. That’s part of what makes a vampire so sexy... their abilities help to protect and dominate.. I could understand them needing guards for protection during the day, patrolling the area or spying for them. But for them to need guards to physically protect them because they think fighting is unrefined is ridiculous.

Another thing I couldn’t understand is that they had to bring her into their world as a Guard. TELL ME WHY! Don’t leave me to wonder for more than TWO books about that. You tell me that a love relationship with your guard is forbidden. Then WHY did you make her a guard? Why didn’t you bring her into your world as your girlfriend? Why don’t you just petition the council to turn her into a vampire when the time is right like the other characters in the book. It’s not like she was a soldier or training for combat or anything... The author just wants you to totally be OK reading it without that question answered.

How can I dive into this book with the foundation totally cracked up like this? I really wanted to find a new great vampire RH series. But I am going to stop reading the series after this book

Like me a lot of you might think that as great as the Vampire stories are, it’s all a bit “been there, read that” by now. Well at least that’s how I felt when I was recommended this series about the Ravana Vampires, yet another late teen/beginning of twenties story. However, let me tell you just how wrong I was! E.M. Moore’s take is not only different, it’s heartfelt and you really do fall in love with each of the characters!

The second book of the Ravana Clan Vampires pretty much picks up right where the first book left us. Ari and her princes face heartache, danger and their individual relationships grow into new territory. These swoon worthy vampires learn, that royalty or not, their guard is not to be messed with, and she takes her new role very serious.

Slow burn interesting PNR.

Ariana has grown to love the guys and they love her back. However, because of the risk of the vampires' lives, their council forbids Vampire/Human bodyguards to be any more than that. After a truly hard decision, she breaks contact with them and works on being the best bodyguard possible. She wants to not only prove she can do it, but to protect what she loves most. With the rise of rogue vampires and the threat to their way of life, the human vampire guards are needed the most and she will not let them down. This book continues the slow burn tension.

Good job 👍

You never get old of jealousy and these people have loads of it due to secrecy . These is a good second story to follow up on Ariana 's journey. I don't envy her position in the vampire world. She is constantly proving herself to people that are stuck in their ways. They underestimate her and I like her to come back swinging.

I liked this one significantly more than I did the first book in the series. The plot, action, and romantic drama was all there and well written. Needless to say, I’m going to finish the series and keep an eye out for other books by this author. Also, is it bad that I keep calling Christian Christiano in my head? I feel like he would be even hotter as an italian but that may just be me;)

Really enjoying this series

What can I even say about the Ravana clan? I want to be a part of this world. How crazy that this series is my first into a vampire world and I’m so immersed that I’m sad I haven’t read more.
E.M. Moore has a way of drawing you into a world you didn’t even know you wanted to be a part of and making you want to stay.

What a amazing series! I began with the sample of book 1 but I had to buy the complete serial because I couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait for the next books to come out because I know there is still a lot of story to tell.

Great Sequel

This sequel picked up right where the first book left off and didn’t miss a beat. The writing is superb, the plot line is tight, and the flow of the book keeps you wanting more the entire time.

I really enjoyed this book. It finally answered my main question from the first book about why Ravanas chose Ariana as their guard. Great writing, riveting characters, maybe a bit too predictable plot.

Good story

Very good story but no more give on their relationship. I am glad she got to prove how good of a guard she really was.

Action and romance

Ariana has been thrown into a new way of life but she is a fighter with a heart of gold. She knows her duty is to protect the 4 princes with her life. She is willing to do all she needs to and fully embraces her new life. She doesn't give up even when she must choose her duty over her heart for the princes.

This is a fantastic second book for the series!! Seriously. it has intrigue, mystery, and near the last part of the book it is crazy action packed. It was such a great read, and I loved the little detour in direction that Ariana’s relationships took. Oh, and so many questions I had from the first book were finally answered. And holy moly, it was freakin mind blowing and completely unexpected!

I’m just really loving this series. It’s definitely renewed my interest in vampire books!

The amount of saying one thing and then immediately doing the opposite because she just can't control herself.... NAHHHHH
I do like the badassery though
Nicolai is my favorite!
