Meanwhile at her home near Blackpool, Peggy wakes every day to verbal abuse from her bullying husband. Like Gina, Peggy is ready for a fresh start.

An emotional story of friendship and second chances perfect for fans of Patricia Scanlan and Liane Moriarty.
Praise for Family Connections‘This tale of two families forgiving past wounds and starting anew is just the kind of heartwarming story at which Jacobs excels’ Booklist

Brilliant. I really enjoyed this book. Anna Jacobs knows how to grip you with one of her stories, she literally has them popping out of her head. I enjoy reading every one of her books and I always want more when I finish.
Loved this book This book is focus in Perth western Australia and Blackpool England of family connection with each other. Its takes you on a journey Gina is sorting through her dad's possessions when she finds he has been married twice so she has unknown brothers and sisters over in England. He kept this secret until he pass away and she plans to go and find them. Travelling across the world on an adventure. I loved everything about this book from the start.
First book by this author I tried. Easy to read great flow and enough detail to form good idea about the characters looks and personalities. Took me a while to get into it but once absorbed into the book that was it just wanted to read it.
Well written and depth of human emotions and weaknesses we have with the past haunting our future. Some times it hard to break away from the chain's that bind us.
Not bad, but not good either. A little too much happening at once, and far too many lucky coincidences.
I wish the story could have been only about the abusive relationship Peggy was in, because that was interesting. But it just turned into an element to get some action in the book and lost it's appeal to me there.
A very forgettable book, but an easy read. Not one I would recommend though, there are far better books that are just as easy to read and that give far more.
Took a little getting into with the different families in uk and Australia but suddenly I found I now knew who was who and I thoroughly enjoyed this book Anna Jacob never fails I love her books
I felt that this was a very complicated story, I gave up twice but was determined to finish it. I had just finished another story by Anna Jacobs which was superb so I found this storyline difficult!
A great book. A bit of everything in one place. Thriller, Romance, Past, Future, a good start and a very happy ending. I didn't want to put my kindle book down.
Another brilliant five star entertaining read from Anna Jacobs. Anna has a way writing so that you can really get into the story and live with her characters. A recommended light hearted read.
Not my type of book at all. Too many characters. Things only really started to happen at about 60% of the book. The author uses the word surely way too much. not my vibe

She write a letter to the two siblings to let them know that she exists and that she would like to visit. Then the sudden illness of one of her daughters delays her leaving from Australia when her great- niece shows up looking for her family ties as well. Gina feels stuck with her daughter who needs her and the arrival of the niece who has just come to visit. Read on to see who and how she get out of this situation and finally gets to meet her siblings.
A lot of people in this story, which basically involves two unrelated people in Australia deciding to visit long-lost relatives in the UK. They happen to meet and make friends, and discover other connections.
Exciting and fast-paced, but I found the sheer volume of different people rather overwhelming and kept forgetting who was who. A few rather unlikely coincidences, too. But all in all an enjoyable light read.
