Reading every new book by H.R. Reve consumes twenty-four-year-old stylist Sydney Bordelon’s free time. After the latest installment, her inebriated self thinks emailing him—hiding behind username RedLace24—detailing the effect of his words on her libido is a good idea.
Being a forty-two-year-old English professor at a private university and writing erotica makes Harrison Winslow guard his identity closely, never interacting with fans. Until RedLace24.
Flirtatious emails and steamy sexting culminate in a weekend of hedonistic sex and surprising intimacy. Harrison struggles to keep the truth from Red, especially when she discloses her name and opens up to him, revealing that she’s an aspiring author.
When fate intervenes and his truth is exposed, Harrison must channel the romance of his alter ego if wants to retain the woman who excites his body and challenges his mind.
Love Done Write by Amelia Foster and published by Evernight Publishing is a smoldering erotic romance novella that hits every sweet, steamy note.
As a writer myself (I know, duh) who thoroughly enjoys erotic romance, it was a treat to find myself in the head of someone just like me. Sure, Sydney isn’t exactly like me—try about ten years younger, for starters—but her portrayal is so genuine and honest, I empathized with her right from the start. I felt all her uncertainties, fears, joys, and excitements like they were my own. Enter into the picture the undeniably studly Harrison and things just get better and better.
As this is a novella, and an erotic romance, it follows a standard plot arc. However, how Ms. Foster goes about depicting that arc is fresh and unique. She utilizes tropes—such as May/December romance—to the ultimate degree, the pacing is perfect, and the chemistry of her leads practically leaps off the page.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys steamy heterosexual romance. It’s a quick, tantalizing read that’ll have you fanning yourself at its conclusion.
This is an absolutely charming (and STEAMY) novella about two very different people who connect online and find a way to make it work in real life. I so enjoyed both characters and how they moved forward as well as the their fabulous chemistry. It was totally a super fun read that just makes me happy.
This gem has everything. Steam, tension, wit and emotions. I have no idea how Ms. Foster crammed all that into this un puttable down novella, but it was a perfect pleasure to read.
What a SEXY little read this was! Sydney is precious and Harrison is so utterly perfect for her. The hot texts lead to hotter IRL encounters and the storyline is so fun! Delicious!
This was such a refreshing and enjoyable read! I fell hard for the characters, and the story was such a delight. Highly recommend this tasty reading treat! Perfect for an afternoon snuggled on the couch or lounging in the sun!
Man oh man is this a hot little read! This may be a short story, but it's length doesn't short change you in anyway. Syd and H.R.'s 'relationship' begins in the most unusual of ways, via an online chat. She's a super fan of the erotic novels he shares and his well written words are fuel to her fantasies, along with the mystic surrounding him.
When the two meet it's fireworks! Hot and steamy. And while H.R. may be the older of the two, Syd teaches him a few thing as well. I adored how well they clicked in and out of the bedroom. Their initial meeting may have been only for a hook-up, but both respected it way more and it showed in how they wanted to please each other. Did I mention this story is hot???
Anyway if you're looking for a spicy read with a fulfilling HEA, you want to get this. You won't be disappointed.
I knew from the title I was going to love this book. The wordplay is fantastic and spot-on for the story. The premise drew me in, the characters, steam, and storyline kept me there, holding me until the very last page. I recommend Love Done Write to readers who love steamy romances with lovable characters.
Harrison Winslow is a staid university professor by day, divorced and with post-divorce relationship troubles, who writes erotic novels under a pseudonym to protect his and his university's reputation. Sydney is probably his biggest fan, a young hairdresser who sneaks off to read his weekly postings as soon as they hit his website and is always the first to comment on them. They flirt a little bit publicly, but then in an inebriated haze, she mistakenly sends him her true and steamy reaction to his story via email. Then things start to heat up between them. After playing a little bit of cat and mouse while trying to decide whether to get together more than digitally, they meet up and hook up.
Harrison, though he is far older than Sydney, has had fewer partners than she has. They both do a little teaching and learning here. This book contains a lot of steamy scenes, both one-sided and as a couple. Although the author didn't let us know early on, it turns out that Sydney writes as well, and that leads to a very interesting end of the book. I liked the clever use of texts and emails as well as more standard dialogue and narrative sections.
This book had minor issues with punctuation. Namely, commas were often forgotten between two independent clauses in a complex sentence. But it wasn't overly distracting.
If you like erotic May/ December romances, this book may be for you.
I received a free advance copy, but this did not affect my review.
Harrison and Sydney play a dangerous and enticing game online. Spurred by his erotic chapters, Sydney writes to Harrison and they begin an online romance filled with naughty dialogue. The fact that Harrison was eighteen years older, his erotic writing a secret pastime while actually a staid tenured professor with an impeccable reputation, heightened everything he risked to pursue a relationship with Sydney. A fast paced, erotic romance!

This novella is read-it-in-front-of-a-fan hot! For those who like a lot of sugar with their spice, Amelia Foster doesn’t disappoint. A sweet, sexy romance with all the feels in a snack-sized package.
