Un día como cualquiera se transforma en una pesadilla y total masacre.
Una persona con un tipo de saco en la cabeza comienza a atacar a todos los transeuntes con dos cuchillos. Todo se vuelve inimaginable cuando empiezan a acumularse cuerpos por todas partes, corre de un lado para otro atacando a todos, muchos se quedaron inmóviles, en shock, sin ni siquiera poder correr, y a una chica la ignora completamente, sigue atacando al resto, ella no podía entender porqué y no podía correr.

Así comienza una historia brutal, macabra, y muy sangrienta.
En la que no entiendes el cómo de algunas cosas que van pasando, es muy ilógico, pero muy pronto todo va tomando un rumbo muy interesante.

Un manga que debo confesar que le tenia las expectativas medias altas, por ser de Hokazono, pero no conocía al que está a cargo del dibujo, Nokuto Koike, y debo decir que, a pesar que para mi en cuanto a estas temáticas, estilo y movimiento en las escenas de violencia Hokazono es casi inigualable, me ha impresionado muchísimo, y me ha gustado, me ha generado algo muy parecido a lo que pasa con Hokazono, con claras diferencias, pero que cumple completamente con lo que esperaba, tiene un estilo muy parecido.

From my memory the premise of the manga was super interesting and seeing the story unfold with the twists was very good. But just as the story was just about to get even better it just suddenly ended. Like I wanted more so sad. So many unanswered questions and plot holes.
If you want to read just bare in mind the sudden end so just skip it for full enjoyment.

imagina um dia normal em Ikebukuro, rua cheia de gente, e de repente um cara mascarado com duas machadinhas começa a matar todo mundo na maior tranquilidade, em plena luz do dia. A Madoka, nossa protagonista, congela no lugar e o assassino passa por ela sem fazer nada… mas aquele olhar dele fica marcado na cabeça dela pra sempre. Depois disso, o tal “M” vai preso, mas os assassinatos não param e as pessoas começam a ter visões dele o tempo todo. Aí a coisa vira um terror psicológico bem doido, com gore pra dar e vender

O mangá é daqueles bem splatter, cheio de sangue, vísceras e violência gráfica. A arte é bem crua e direta, o que combina perfeitamente com o clima de pesadelo. A Madoka vai questionando se tá enlouquecendo ou se o cara realmente tá “vivo” de algum jeito, e isso cria uma tensão legal no começo.

Mas… confesso que no meio pro final ele começa a introduzir uns elementos sobrenaturais (tipo poderes estranhos do M) que pra mim ficaram um pouco aleatórios e sem explicar direito. O final é daqueles que deixa um gosto estranho na boca: muita coisa fica no ar, parece que a história ia continuar mas parou de repente (só tem 4 volumes, 36 capítulos). Não é ruim, mas deixa um vazio de “tá, e aí?”.
No geral, eu curti bastante pela atmosfera pesada, pelo gore sem frescura e pela vibe de slasher psicológico.

Okay, das ist genau nach meinem Geschmack, hahahaha (darf man das eigentlich so sagen!? 😶‍🌫️). Ich liebe Horror und Splatter Filme - hier funktioniert das Konzept auch wunderbar! Eine Mädchengruppe schlendert durch die Stadt, als plötzlich jemand mit Maske und zwei Macheten auf Leute losgeht und sie umbringt. Und das ganze ist jetzt nichts für Zartbesaitete, denn das wird schon ziemlich detailliert dargestellt. Das Artwork gibt die Brutalität wunderbar wieder, auch die Angst und Panik der Leute kann man regelrecht spüren. Der Mörder wird gefasst, jedoch begeht er weiter Gräueltaten - obwohl er hinter Gittern sitzt!? Unsere Protagonistin sieht ihn immer wieder vor sich - doch sie ist nicht die einzige… klingt das nicht wahnsinnig spannend!? Ich finde jedenfalls schon! Ich bin nur so über die Seiten geflogen und hab sie regelrecht inhaliert. Es wird nichts schöngeredet oder hübsch gezeichnet, sondern wirklich auch »eklig«, wenn es die Situation erfordert. Und das find ich gut - denn es muss auch mal solche Thematiken geben. Die Charaktere wirken noch nicht alle greifbar, aber sie haben schon etwas Tiefgründiges an sich, was sie sehr interessant macht. Da bin ich wirklich sehr gespannt, wie's weitergeht! 🔥

I just finished this and uh… I need something light & fluffy now. The manga included some gruesome quotes from real life serial killers before each chapter. The awful statements / remarks gave me goosebumps. Not much substance yet but it has an interesting premise; one that keeps you on your toes. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart due to it’s graphic nature. I’m intrigued about the bilocation phenomenon so I will be continuing this ( although I’m sick to my stomach).

Die Schülerin Madoka ist mit ihren Freundinnen in einer belebten Einkaufsstraße unterwegs, als plötzlich ein maskierter Irrer mit einer Machete auftaucht und ein Blutbad anrichtet. Einige Zeugen und auch Madoka selbst werden von dem Täter verschont. Der junge Polizist Honda gehört zum Team, das den Täter schließlich dingfest macht. Doch während der Killer in Haft ist sieht Madoka ihn an anderer Stelle wieder - und es passieren weitere Morde. Wie kann der Täter an zwei Orten gleichzeitig sein? // Der erste Band von "Killing Morph" ist äußerst blutig und brutal: Der Amoklauf wird detailliert dargestellt, Körperteile fliegen umher, Blut fließt in Strömen. Den Band mit der Leseempfehlung "ab 18 Jahren" zu versehen ergibt daher absolut Sinn. Die Zeichnungen von Koike sind auf einem guten, wenn auch nicht herausragenden Niveau, Hokazonos Story weist ein, zwei nette Twists auf, verliert aber gerade zur Mitte des ersten Bandes ordentlich an Fahrt. Das liegt auch an den recht einfallslosen Perspektiven und am Strecken der Story durch zahllose unnötige Gesichts- und Augenpanels der Protagonisten, die sich schnell wiederholen. Der erste "Killing Morph"-Band erhält von mir also eine mittelmäßige Wertung: Da ist noch Luft nach oben.

Killing Morph isn’t for lighthearted readers. It is a very heavy gore novel with heavy art. The plot is interesting and has a good structure. Most of the plot twists are actually twists you could not have suspected, but they make sense when you hear about them. This story is something I would hesitate on reading, but it was good in the end. The gore was a good amount, and not too much, just the right amount. The ending for season four was a bit rushed from what I saw on the website I read on. Aside from that, it was good and I enjoyed reading it.

It could be better, it focuses a lot on the brutality and takes away from other things that could be, but I am sure that is what the manga wants to be. The story is interesting enough that it kept me reading the rest of the story.
