This is an extensive book that details these disappearing creatures about their habitats, behaviors, and threats to their survival. I hope many of these animals make a comeback as their beauty shines with the artist's giving them these highlights. A few really drew my attention, particularly the wild cats, as I love felines and their forms. The playfulness of JAW Cooper's ocelot, the elusiveness of the Bengal tiger or Florida Panther both by Aaron Blaise, and even the boopable cuteness of Bobby Chiu's South China Tiger cub. As well with the non-felines, the details and warmth found in Esther van Hulsen's Gray wolf, Jason Chan's whale shark with its beautiful colors and fluid motion to it, or the light placement and gaze of Luis Carrasco's spotted owl are all wondrous. Those owl eyes stare a hole into your very soul. Overall, it's a beautiful and educational book.

*Small typo to publishers: Thierry Doizon has Great White Shark art on page "81" not "91". That "91" is Naomi Baker's work (unless it was an intended collaboration by them).
