The NOVA trilogy is intended for mature audiences due to explicit sex, strong language, and abusive situations. It may be disturbing to some readers.
Sophia Jameson is the daughter of adult entertainment mogul, Paul Jameson. She suffers from an abusive past and sees nothing wrong with sleeping around; after all, sex is a cure for her depression. A long-term relationship with any man is not on the agenda–until she meets Cove Everton. The two fall fast and hard, diving into a relationship they know will be forbidden by Sophia's father.
Cove Everton was once the biggest star of Jameson Industries. Forced into the company at a young age, he still suffers mental and physical scars from the business owned by Paul Jameson. Angst-ridden and tormented that his family's been blackmailed and his father framed for crimes that were committed by Paul, he continues to work for the adult industry, hoping to discover proof that will bring Paul to his knees and set his father free. ______________________
✼ From Sophia ✼
My story begins in St. Louis with my best friend and former college roommate, Mera. I'm twenty-three, not the romantic type, and convinced that I can mistreat my body however I see fit. I'm not worried about the consequences of sleeping around, only my therapist is. I see her twice a week as requested by my father. He believes my lack of motivation, foul mouth, and immaturity all stem from my mother's neglect. But my therapist? She thinks I'm a sex addict. All of this is about to change . . . because of him.
Cove Everton holds secrets that are far darker than mine. The demons he carries are destroying him, and his connection to my family is tragic. He tries to distance himself, but our attraction to one another is too powerful for that separation to last. Once his private life is exposed, there's no turning back. We fall fast and hard, both virgins to love, and troubled by the unknowns of a future together.
Can we erase the scars of one another's past and move forward? Or will we be consumed by our former lives?
You'll spend time in shallow water getting to know me before you advance into the deep end with Cove. And it is deep, be patient. The unexpected is coming. ~ Sophia

I don't know where to start. These books are so incredible that there is so much I want to say. I haven't just read this trilogy, I genuinely feel as if I was in it. Living, breathing, smelling, listening, touching, watching. This is some of the most fantastic writing that captures you right from the start and transports you on Sophia's journey. Early in the first book we learn about Sophia's difficult past. It's perfectly written in that it's kept to a minimum. We discover all we need to know without chapter after chapter of past events. This sets the standard for the whole series, the books flow and don't ever lose their momentum. At absolutely no point did I feel I could put these books down, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. They are fast paced and certainly action packed. There are twists and turns that leave you gasping, crying and desperate for more. My heart ached for Sophia and Cove and I couldn't bare for the story to end. I got to the final few chapters and couldn't believe that I was going to have to leave them to continue on their journey into the future. I almost screamed for joy when I discovered in the acknowledgements that there is a book four. Needless to say I immediately 1clicked and cannot wait to continue.
This was my first book by Aven Jayce. I dont know why this gem sat on my kindle forever! I started this terrific box set and could not put it down. Absolutely loved Sophia and Cove....the author did a great job writing this story. It flowed perfectly and had me 100% satisfied at the end!!!
This series is dark. Well to me it is dark. It involves everything from child abuse to porn but that isn't what makes it dark. It is the mental abuse and control one man (Paul) has over his children, his employees and anyone connected to him. I am glad that I bought the box set because it definitely needs to be read in order or else the reader will be completely lost. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down because the more I read it the deeper the dynamics, the drama, and story lines developed.
Triggers: There are so many triggers here but here are a few that stand out; child abuse, domestic violence, rape, pornography, kidnapping, and murder. Definitely meant for readers 18 years and older.
This has set in my library for a while and just never "got around to it", and now I ask myself...WHY NOT? OMG, talk about a story that is so different than anything that is out there right now. It is a darker read, but it has such a great story and it shows such great emotion and love between many of the characters in the story. Cole and Sophia have such a troubled past and they find themselves falling for each other. I do not do spoilers, but let me tell you....this is a story filled with sexy scenes, crazy dark stuff, but yet it is a "feel good story" as long as you hang in there. I have one more to read, and I can't wait.
I wasn't really sure about this book what with the content being what it is, however after meeting Sophia and Cove who I have to say have dealt with their problems in completely different ways to move forward I fell in love and had to continue reading. I was shocked and appalled at how Paul treated his own daughter and other people around him, he was a dirty despicable character and so we're others who worked with or for him. I'm sorry to say but I'm glad at how it ended for him and that everyone else who mattered got the ending they deserved. Excellent writing even if the subject matter is quite dark and down right scream inducing.
NOTE: Cove's not an alpha. He's a passive character who's dominated by Sophia's father. The trilogy contains frequent sex scenes, kidnappings, physical and psychological abuse, and sensitive subject matter involving teens.
Really disappointed in this book, maybe its because i am British and never been to Vegas and don't understand the mentality of the porn industries etc, but i found characters unbelievable reactions of situations naive and stupid, there was no shape to the characters, have no clue what characters look like as you get dribs and drabs of them here and there which cant paint a picture at all, to be honest by the end i would not of bothered loved Silvia Day if that is your kind of book and writing style don't bother with this. Might just stick to free books from now on when i am not familiar with the author not to my taste at all.
Surprisingly entertaining plot that is bold and characters that are fiesty
I started reading this book, thinking it was a 50 shades knockoff, but I was happily surprised. Yes ,it is erotica, voyeuristic, but the story has a sadness on so many levels, that makes it all the more worthwhile to read. This book is bold and I love how the heroes of the book are both damaged but rise from the ashes despite there histories. It was an independent writer whose imagination took me to places I didn't know existed.
What a wonderfully written series about a tough subject, thankfully the author didn't go down the route of writing unnecessary graphic scenes in order to get the shock factor. I loved how the story of Cove & Sophia unfolds, the plot & characters are well developed & thought out. We don’t find out what happened to Cove at the hands of Sophia’s father until the final book Dark Scarlett & despite what he was subjected to he remained a sensitive/emotional guy.
The Boxed Set includes Fallen Snow (Book One), Desert Star (Book Two), and Sunset Rush (Book Three).
NOVA is a dark trilogy for mature audiences. It contains explicit sex, harsh language, and abusive situations. Please be warned - dark novels may be disturbing for some readers.
4.5 STARS! Wow - I was so not expecting where these books took me. This book may not be for everyone as it touches on some pretty taboo and just plain wrong subject matter. If you like a dark read that's a bit twisted and are not put off by sexual abuse then this may be a book for you. Great story, characters and writing. Would definitely recommend this book.
This was a fantastic set telling the trials and tribulations face by one person and what happens when the life she thinks she knows changes dramatically Absolutely loved Cove and Sophias story and reading how they coped when life threw obstacles at them xx
This trilogy was fantastic. I loved it. I went through every emotion on the spectrum. There were so many twists and turns; you could never predict where the story was going to go. Even two pages from the end and I was chewing my nails to stubs.
Such a good series. This author did such a great job. The story is emotional, dark and heart felt at the same time. You can help but love Cove and Soph. hope she continues this series.
I have to say, without spoilers, that this was a great read. It was EASY and quick. This author touched on things deemed taboo but it is real enough to make youe really wonder if this sort of thing is happening out there. INSANE. I will absolutley read more from her!
Fantastic trilogy , loved each book , it was hard to find a spot take a break ! Well thought out story line and well written . Thoroughly enjoyable reading and I would definitely recommend this to everyone .☺
Just loved this series and once started I couldn't put it down. Great story line, great characters, well written, full of suspense and major rollercoaster rides, hot sex, and taboo subjects, everything a dark book should have. Can't wait for the next one. 5****
Mind blown. This author is amazing at keeping your attention. It took me 3 days to read all three books, I could not put this one down. I will definitely recommend this author instead of just her books and will continue this series.
I had this series in my kindle for a while and I don't know why I didn't read it before. What a treat and every possible way, passionately, emotionally full of hope and love. Great great series!
I loved this box set. I love Cove and Sophia. I feel sorry for Cove and through the whole series I found myself wishing Paul Jameson dead. This man and his partners are pure evil. They even force Sophia into the industry. Such a good series. On to Jameson Hotel.
Wow wow wow! Dark, challenging subjects but beautifully written. Sophia and Cove's messed up lives are entwined in a roller coaster of a story, one that I didn't want to end!
