Shadows of Redact

Rate this book
A man can always trust his family. Right?

After years of wandering, Ealrin has finally reunited with his family.

But where he hoped to find comfort and answers, he’s discovered only mysteries and plots. And they all seem to center on the name he carries with him: Belouve.

The countries of Redact maintain a fragile peace. Through threats, treaties and unwanted alliances, the kingdoms of magic are holding back the reality of war.

Can Ealrin unravel a plot against the king of Rerial before it leads to another disastrous war? And will he be willing to discover every secret, even if it means choosing between his companions and his family?

My name is RG Long and I've written an epic fantasy series I can't wait to share with you. It's called "Legends of Gilia" and it is going to be one wild ride. The very first one is called Sword of Ruyn and is available now!

I grew up on Final Fantasy video games, Dragonlance novels, RPG Maker computer programs, and Warhammer table-top gaming armies.

All this epic fantasy is probably why I have planned such an epic series. The Legends of Gilia is a 15-book-long series! Now I'm working on my newest series: The Origins of Gilia!

I live in San Antonio with my wife and wonderfully creative daughters.

Action scenes are excellent; however, something feels similar. Like, I've already read something like this before. Some of the tropes come back in this one which is a shame. However, the family drama is good. Though I think the sister should be as mad as she is most of the time. That threw me off a bit. The elves part feels pointless because it doesn't affect our main characters in the lands, so why put it there? I guess it could be for future events, but I don't know if it's justified. For me, the only thing really keeping this somewhat interesting is the family drama.

Truly torn

I love the story, as I love all of the Gilia books! Unfortunately, grammatical errors, typos and using the wrong names are a common occurrence in this e-book! I found at least one error in each chapter, usually more. This book needs to be Re-edited! Otherwise, I am truly looking forward to the next book, Towers of Redact!

Horrible grammar.

Been a good story so far. But whoever is proofreading this stuff before it is put in to digital print should be shot. The simple typos and spelling errors, as well as grammar errors. Makes this book almost impossible to get through
