Rate this book
Small town romance meets time travel in California’s Sierra Nevada.

Payton Fletcher is a grieving widower who has lost his wife and child in eighteenth-century Scotland. Time traveling to present day Delight, California hasn’t helped him move past his grief. He spends his days and nights working to avoid the painful memories that he can’t seem to keep at bay. His only escape is hiking the rugged trails that surround his new home. The solitude of the hikes brings him relief from the good intentions of his brothers and the people of Delight, but keeps him locked in the prison of emotions he seems unable to escape.

Crystal Stone has had a loss of her own. After her husband’s death, she and her daughter move back to Delight to live with her mother. Crystal is a psychic and believes there is someone nearby who needs her help. She thinks it might be Payton, but there is a very real possibility it could be someone or something else that is calling to her for help.

Crystal has an almost immediate attraction to Payton, but he has vowed to love only one woman and he will not betray his vows. Will Payton and Crystal be able to abandon their grief, or will they remain tethered to their pasts? If the people of Delight have their way, anything could be possible.

Delight Series #3

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Payton Fletcher has been grieving for his deceased wife and child ever since they passed in eighteenth century Scotland.
Even though he time traveled with his brothers to present day Delight, California he has not been able to get over the grief. He works day and night just to avoid the memories that haunt him. His only escape is hiking the trails that surround his new home.

Crystal Stone has been through a terrible loss of her own. After her husbands death, she and her young daughter move back to Delight to move in and live with her mother. Crystal has psychic abilities and believes there is someone near who needs help. She thinks it's possible that it could be Payton, but she may be wrong and it may not be someone who needs her help, but something.

Crystal is attracted to Payton right away however he has vowed that he will only love one woman and that is his deceased wife.

Will Payton and Crystal be able to set their grief aside, or will their pasts remain attached to them? If the people of Delight have their way anything could be possible.

Wow just wow. Jennae Vale brought Payton and Crystal to life in every way. I followed the story hoping in my heart that Payton could love Crystal and vice versa. Payton and Crystal both deserved a second chance at love. Payton was so very depressed and Crystal was so very lost. These two characters were absolutely perfect for each other as they both had broken hearts so to speak and were able to help eachother heal. Two hearts made whole with true love. It doesn't get any better then that. Ms. Vale you blew me away with this story and I felt like I was invested in it. Let's just say the Fletcher Brothers all found the love they so badly needed. I cant wait to see what this incredibly talented author comes up with next.

Jennae Vale has done an amazing job with this series of 3 brothers whogot caught in an avalanche in 1747 and came out of it in the present. The three brothers have settled in fairly well and 2 had found women to love.
The third brother Payton, lost his wife and baby to illness and continues to grieve 2 years later. He has no interest in trying to find love - he doesn't think he can love another. Until he meets Crystal. She has lost her husband and now she and her daughter Hannah live with her mother.
This is a book with a lot of pain and grief. Neither of them are ready to get over their past but as a medium and psychic her mother talks to their former spouses who are encouraging the living to live again.
This is a good ending to this series but I wish it would have gone on a little longer to provide a more satisfying end to the story.

Loved the entire story. The town of Delight and its residents are just wonderful. This book, the third in the series focuses on Payton and Crystal. I’ve not read the previous books, but that did not spoil this book at all. I will go back and read the other two. Payton and Crystal have both lost loved ones and neither is really looking or expecting to find love again. Luckily, they do find love with each other. The story is well written, with strong characters, a little magic ladies who have the ''gift'' a little time travel. And of course handsome Scottish men. I highly recommend you read this book and the series.

I really enjoyed this story. I've read all of this series and of course this one is just as wonderful as the first two. Payton's heart was ripped out of him when his baby girl and wife passed away. And when he was pulled from the past to the future it only intensified his pain.

That is until he meets Crystal and her cute little girl. All is put to test and romance is always involved when it comes to Jennae Vale's stories.

Thank you so much for such a good story.
I was given this book and volunteering to give a honest review.

Highlander stories are the best!

Add time travel and it is the best.
Crystal and Payton both have lost the loved of their lives and you can feel their sorrows.
It is hard to let go and join in with others when you don't feel like there is any way you can have fun when they are gone. The journey they embark on to find their way back into living is written in a way that makes you tingle with good feelings. Loved this series.

Payton’s story

This is the last of the Fletcher brother’s story. Payton has a beautiful life that ended tragically and he longed for his old life. He relented to the new life with his brothers but always seemed sad.

This story focuses on him and I waited for his story. The story is about two people with similar pasts and having to start over. A person loving someone with a past life has to accept that past person was part of of who they love. This was a very good short.

This is an excellent time travel romance that kept me turning the pages. I recommend book 39, Ross, of the Ghosts of Culloden Moor series, then books one and two of this Delight series. They are all related and flow together.
