Diamond was beautiful, intelligent and born into what seemed like hell on Earth. Her upbringing was shameful and painful, but her future was somehow very bright. She graduated at the top of her class with a full ride scholarship to one of the most prestigious colleges in the country. Around the same time, she was presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity to follow her dream of pursuing a singing career. Which left her with a hard decision to make between the two amazing opportunities in a short period of time.In the midst of it all, Diamond was swept off her feet by a rich and powerful man named Andrew Michaels. Unbeknownst to her by dating him she had opened Pandora's box and unleashed a skeleton from her mother's shady past. A skeleton that threatened her and Andrew’s future together. After lies started to unfold from everyone around her, Diamond didn’t know who she could trust. Which caused her fairytale ending to start to unravel right along with her sanity.
I wasn't sure what to expect based on the title, but Ms Marie broke it down in the book. Diamond had a life filled with interruptions, both good and bad. I didn't agree with how she handled some of them, but her story was unique and heartfelt. I hated how her mother treated her, but loved how Diamond loved her unconditionally. I also hated how her husband and his family duped her, but she surely made the best decision there. This book was different in a good way. There were a few editing errors, but the storyline was good, so was the character development. A lot of thought was put into this book and I highly recommend it.
A bit more editing could be done with this read however the plot in this one kept me hanging on by a thread! This was my first time reading this author, but it won't be my last. Great job!
