Ambitious and fiery Lee Coil is determined to work her way up the ladder of a predominately male-oriented workforce. Knowing her disadvantages, she refuses to let any setbacks deter her. When she gets an opportunity to catapult her career, she jumps at the opportunity.

Traveling across the country for a lead on a hot case, Lee uncovers more than she bargained for. With Darren, her boyfriend and co-worker, helping her dig for answers, Lee is forced to admit one thing: she may be in over her head. Can the dedicated cop prove that she's more than a woman in a man's world?

I really don't like writing 1 star reviews, but the time I spent reading this book is time that I will never have back and that upsets me. If I had realized before I began that it didn't have an ending, I wouldn't have started it, or at the least, I would have given up on the struggle of reading it early on. The author has no concept of grammar usage, sentence structure, paragraph structure, the use of simple words, or the over abundance of miss-spelled words. Character development is sketchy. The plot plods on and never really seems to go anywhere. I'm going to give on the tense shifts in every other sentence, because UK authors have their own style and pronoun usage that clashes with the Americanized style of writing. My advice would be to hire an editor or go back to school and learn some basic grammar! Also, keep a Thesaurus handy. There are way too many miss-used words. IE: internal vs eternal. And the list goes on. Good luck.

It continues in book two.

Long drawn out story that doesn't get off the ground with little or no action. The end leads you straight into needing book two. I don't think so. Not for me anyhow.
