What happens when the lights go out in Vegas? According to thirteen authors, a whole lot can happen! From escaping serial killers to falling in love, Blackout: A Romance Anthology gives readers a glimpse into the city of sin with no power, no cell service, and no inhibitions. This anthology blew me away, I can't get over how much I enjoyed it. Longer than your typical anthology, at least in my opinion, Blackout has thirteen novellas, some quite lengthy and others quite short, that follow a mix of new and previously known characters as they visit sin city. The same event, a lengthy blackout, occurs in each novel, but no story is the same. The setting is perfect for this anthology, I hate when authors get together to create an anthology with a similar story line and the characters don't ever meet despite being in a small town. In this case, Vegas is massive and with the lights out it's expected that the characters from each story wouldn't interact. It made it more realistic. I loved all of the characters from the stories that I read and while I didn't love every single story, I did enjoy the entire anthology as a whole. This is a must read and it will work for both longtime fans of the authors and for those looking for something new.

My Review:
C.A. Harms always puts a smirk on my face with her own special blend of irreverent humor and sizzling sensuality. Las Vegas provided the perfect backdrop for two former high school acquaintances to accidentally run into each other and become more intimately reacquainted. He had been her unrequited first crush and high school fantasy man/football star, but to him, she had just been his helpful academic tutor. A few years later and she was all lush curves and long legs and her personal anatomy was the only subject that required further study. Apparently, no special lessons in biology or chemistry were needed.

I love a good Anthology and BLACKOUT is off the charts. You can read each authors story in any order you please because there are no spoilers from one to the other. Each author tell us of an event that will stand strong on their own from beginning until the end. Close Encounters had me on the edge of my seat the entire time and my jaw on the floor more often then not. I couldn’t believe what what happening while in Sin City. Blind Faith had me head over heels for Jason, I would give anything to stumble into an elevator with him. The Do-Over has me believing that everything happens for a reason even if you don’t quite understand it right away. Night and Day brings second chances and truth or dare up a notch. Night Games is something I would love to play myself especially if a man like Lincoln is involved. All of these authors bring their own twist to what can happen and you will want to read them all. I can’t wait to read the rest of these stories and find out what else can happen when the lights go out.

Night & Day by Bethany Lopez
This was a second chance love novella. It had intense chemistry and some steamy scenes. I loved the Interaction between Simone and Micah. It was a huge misunderstanding between them. However after waiting nearly a year for him to be able to explain, Micah finally has his chance. Depending on wether she's ready or not, Simone is in for one heck of a night.
Absolutely Mine by Terri E. Laine
I adored this quick novella. It was different than what I am used to be Terri but it was still adorable, hot and a typical live story would could see every day. Eddie and Jillian had feelings for each other's for years. Next door neighbors and Eddie was best friends with her sister, Chris. How could things ever change? When your in Vegas, everything can change. And what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas.

Such an incredible eye opening novella. I say eye opening because it allows us to see a little of what caused the Blackout in Vegas that transpired all these sexy and steamy novella's located in the Blackout Anthology.
Gemma and Jason have intense chemistry from the begging. Her "falling" into him allows her to see that there is genuine and nice guys out there. However, Jason has a one track mind and meeting Gemma is a distraction and everything could spiral into a web neither one could have anticipated. One night and these two learn that love, loyalty and devotion is highly powerful even if sometimes making a bad choice could change the outcome.

I absolutely love Lisa Shelby and her writing style. This short novella was no exception. It was a second chance love story that took 12 years to address a deep rooted pain for both Reece and Rachel. I was so into their connection and then the Blackout occurred and everything vibrated throughout the remaining pages. This is one story I would love to be expanded to see the journey in the lives of The Crew. So incredibly adorable.

OMFG!!! This novella was intense to say the least. It had suspense, struggles, underground fighting, Ex Convict, and wanna be Las Vegas mobsters. But when you get to the heart of this book, you get a deep sense of loyalty, trust and above all else, Love. Pure love. Blinding love. Protecting love. I enjoyed this novella immensely. It too a pice of me with it. Awesome love and second chance story, K.A. Ware.

Probably one of the most intriguing, intense and spontaneous love story in this Anthology so far. I adore all these authors, yet this book is one that I will for sure remember for a long time to come. Reid & Harper had such a magnetic pull towards each other. And regardless of the situation or impending complications, these two were destined to be together....Simply put. Out of this world...Cosmic..

Only she finds a family hidden behind quacky folks and wedding fantasies. Then she finds her dreams changed and she now has someone and something else that makes her happy!!! To Vegas & Grant!!!

Loved it!! This Review is for, “Night Games” by T. K. Leigh
I first met Chloe in Evie & Julian’s book, “Dating Games.” She’s 5’2”, confident & is unapologetic about her “love-’em & leave-’em” sex life (she’s really a hoot!). She finds herself in Vegas for the ‘Bachelorette Party from Hell’ for her childhood best friend, Hannah. The party is being thrown by Hannah’s younger sister, who has decided to plan the worst, cliche-themed, this-can’t-be-happening bachelorette weekend possible. Chloe at least has her other childhood best friend, Izzy, with her to help make this nightmare more tolerable.
After Chloe gets a drink at the club they’re at, some drunk guy tries to proposition her as if she’s a prostitute!!! Totally offended & livid she lays into this idiot, who’s not quite getting the message to back off. In swoops,”Mystery Man” who comes to her aid by pretending to be with her & literally threatens the drunk to leave her alone. Chloe is happy for his help, but her pride won’t let her do so much as give this Mystery Guy a second thought (though her body had other ideas!
Through this never-ending weekend, she casually keeps running into Mystery Man, whether it be in the elevator of their hotel, a bar before the next God-Awful Bridesmaid event or finally checking out of Vegas & flying back to New York.
Just when she thinks she’s set to go home to her “normal” life & get away from Vegas & thoughts of Mystery Man, fate has other plans for Chloe. And as Izzy points out, there must be a reason she keeps running into this guy everywhere, right?
This is DEFINITELY a hook-you-in-and can’t-wait intro to what will be Chloe’s story. This book can’t come out fast enough for me!!!

The book has been released!! Talk about a lot of bang for your buck!!! I have so many new authors to add to my "I am going to devour everything you write list". The stories all take place during a blackout in Las Vegas. Every one is unique. Every one was enjoyable. Thank you so much to eh authors for participating in this wonderful collection.

I well, this anthology was different and in such an amazing new way, so many different characters and stories but written by amazingly talented authors. From drama, to funny, it has them all. The book boyfriends are some you want to read and keep.

I read Close Encounter by Stephanie St. Klaire.
This story was so much fun! It kind of had a Mission Impossible vibe—not the same storyline, but the action and the pace of the story. Cane was attempting to keep Charlie safe and hidden from the bad guy (the really, really bad guy!) who had kidnapped her before. Cane is super ripped and definitely has a thing for Charlie. Those feelings are returned, even if she is damaged and can’t quite respond to everything without fear.
The story takes place in Las Vegas and had a couple of characters (they were also “a couple”) that were conning the casinos and taking them for everything they could get. They also went at it like bunnies…like bunnies doing it everywhere and ALL the time. The couple becomes important to the story and important to keeping Charlie safe. It’s a conundrum, because Cane has had his full of them as Head of Security at the casino. When push comes to shove, will Mr. and Mrs. Lots of Aliases do the right thing?
Close Encounter was a superfast paced story with lots of excitement, suspense, moments of despair and equal moments of gratification. St. Klaire brings us out of the darkness and provides a satisfying ending to a book that kept me up late reading until the final period!

Close Encounter by SSK is action packed, full of suspense, humor, and sexy times during a full on Blackout in Las Vegas. This is everything you want and expect from Stephanie. Cane is cousin of the Brother's Keepers and he is in charge of protecting Charlie from a serial killer determined to get the one who got away from him. Throw in con-artists Skye and Eddie, with a strong penchant for PDA who wind up wrapped up in this mess by helping Charlie out, and you've got a story you won't be able to put down. It ends in a cliffhanger, and I cannot wait for the continuation of this story in Stephanie's new spin-off series, as well as the other stories in this anthology.

This is a cute and funny little love story. I enjoyed all the characters!! I especially enjoyed the ending of the book!! This book was short and to the point and very enjoyable. If you want a good laugh grab it now!!

I really enjoyed this story. It started out with so many laughs, got a little heart, added some sexy tension, more laughs, and ended with so much sweetness. Vegas and Grant are is paired perfectly, they compliment each other perfectly.

Amazing Anthology!! A must read!
I absolutely loved every novella in this Anthology, but I have to say that Blind Faith by Lauren Runow was my favorite. I loved the chance meeting and instant attraction between Gemma & Jason.
Mrs. Runow just has a way of making her characters come to life. You could feel the sparks flying!
I also loved that each book revolved around a Blackout in Sin City. I guarantee that you'll enjoy every story!

I really enjoyed reading this wonderful Anthology. I was introduced to some new authors and was given the opportunity to catch up with a couple of favourites. Each story takes place in Vegas and all were quick, easy and entertaining reads. My review will focus on DIRTY THOUGHTS by C.A. Harms and CLOSE ENCOUNTERS by Stephanie St. Klaire.

Cane has feelings for Charlie, but due to her past she has trouble expressing hers. He's also dealing with a couple who are excellent in conning all the casinos, but this couple are important in keeping Charlie safe. When will Deveraux make his appearance and what will he do? This story will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat.

The addition of a couple running a con added a lightness to the plot. It was witty. It was sexy. It was terrifying!! I really can’t wait until she releases her next book!

This one starts and ends with a BANG! You will not see what is coming even before the town goes dark. Stephanie sucks you in and keeps you guessing. This is the first book that starts the Anthology off and it will keep you reading. It may be short, but you will be hooked on the characters from the start. Don’t miss one. Ya I am odd, but it does get even better. But to find out more you will need to read it yourself> I hate giving spoilers away, but I will say Lauren did a fantastic job making you truly feel the night and quiet of a blackout.
Night & Day by Bethany Lopez:
Misunderstanding, darkness, emotions, all of these can trigger a fight or flight response. In this story we find a strong-willed female lead who once let the walls down only to be hurt. Blackout: A Romance Anthology is an amazing read filled with 13 different stories that I loved! Some of them featured favorite authors of mine, while others were new to me authors. All the stories surrounded a huge blackout in Vegas, but it was different groups of people in different areas of Vegas, each with their own spin on it. Some were second chances at love, while some were super hot games that led to more, but I can promise that they all packed heat with sexy times that provided light in the darkness. And even though all the stories were novella length, I still fell in love with all the characters, and the colorful cast of secondaries. There were twists, hilarious moments that had me laughing, even drama, and at the end of the day, can the most cynical find their happily ever after in Sin City? You'll have to get it to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I read 3 novellas and I adored them... Vegas is sin city and when a blackout happens, well there couldn't be a more perfect timing for seduction!

Close Encounter by Stephanie St. Klaire
Close Encounter is full of suspense. Cane, of Brother’s Keeper Security, is in charge of protecting Charlie, the only surviving victim from a serial killer. He is also dealing with the antics of a PDA couple in his casino who are petty thieves (they are hilarious). A good read which ends in a cliffhanger which will continue in St. Klaire's new series The Keeper Series coming later this year. Has suspense, steamy romance, interesting characters, and good plot.
Honeymoon Hideaway by Cary Hart:
“..be the ring in a world full of gumballs.”
Well written with interesting, zany characters including a smokin’ goat. This is a laugh out loud fun read. Opposites attract story written in dual POV. Vegas is organized, full of lists type of gal, and Grant is the fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants type of guy. Their mutual chemistry explodes when the city goes to a blackout. First book I’ve read by Cary Hart and won't be the last!

I read Close Encounters by Stephanie St. Klaire and this story drew me in from page one. A spin off of her Brother’s Keeper series, there was suspense and fun characters for me to root for. I loved how characters that seemed to be side characters actually became as (and possibly more) important as the ones I had labeled the main characters when the story started. I enjoy the way Stephanie St. Klaire writes character interactions, giving each character a unique voice. This was a quick story that had a satisfying conclusion, but there are enough loose threads to lead me to believe I haven’t seen the last of these characters.

I read Night & Day by Bethany Lopez
I was excited when I heard we were getting a novella that featured Simone. She unintentionally caused issues for one of my favorite couples - Cal and Shelly from 8 Weeks, but we got the other side of that story in 1 Night. Simone lets no one in. She has learned to be a survivor. One weekend changed all of that when she decided to open her heart to love only to be laughed at. Can she take the chance of opening her heart again? loved this quick read and my heart soared with the bonus epilogue.

I read Cary Hart's story. Aunt Dottie was a hoot , she will remind you of one of your own family members . Burt 's character will have you laughing and smiling at the same time. Grant , you couldn't help falling in love with him . Vegas was a sweet lady who has some serious OCD with pen & paper. Light humored novel with some unique side character's.

Stephanie St Klaire’s Close Encounters was amazing! A quick read, but it sure does pack a punch. Full of excitement, danger, and plenty of heat, I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what happens next for Cane and Charlie.

if you need to laugh then grab this book ! It is funny with the Aunt Dottie and her smoking Goat I loved it This book tells you how they try to figure out how to fix something that goes wrong and what happens in a blackout
