Kingsley Saunders, missing his ex-girlfriend, is grateful when his friends invite him on a countryside camping trip, thinking it will be the perfect distraction. But their trip is cut short by a possessed man who attacks one of Kingsley's friends and leaves him injured. Upon leaving the woods, they find society in a state of chaos and a large portion of the population consumed by cannibalistic urges.

Harrison J. Lamb is the author of the zombie serial, Thrive. He predominantly writes dystopian thrillers and post-apocalyptic fiction, and his stories are often described by readers as gritty and suspenseful. Harry’s other creative outlets include playing the piano and the ukulele, and designing book covers. He lives in Suffolk, England, and spends most of his time daydreaming, drinking tea and fighting his cat for a comfortable seat to read in.

Good read

Nice to see a zombie series based in the uk. Nice roots for a series too early to say a classic but look forward to next instalment

I liked it

This was a really good beginning story. Four friends on a camping trip are thrust into the apocolypse when they try to help out at a car accident. Things go downhill from there for the group. I really want to know what happens next for them.

Good book

I liked it, it wasn't as fast & gory as I like but still a good book. I'm downloading part 2 those bad guys are coming!!!!

I don't want to be that cliche author who reviews their own book saying, "I might be biased, but I think this is the best book ever!" But at the same time, I do think this is a decent book, not because I wrote it, but because I made a conscious effort to create something that stands out from other books in the genre while still satisfying zombie fans. I wouldn't have published it if I wasn't proud of it, if I didn't think that I would enjoy it as a reader myself.

Thrive is a serialised story that I have been working on for a while. It starts with a group of friends on a camping trip in a secluded British woodland when a zombie virus tears society apart. Completely unaware, they leave the woods and are met with the walking dead roaming the streets, attacking the living and feasting on their flesh.

This is episode one; episode two is currently in production and will be published soon. With this serial, I wanted to explore the themes of responsibility, individualism and morality. I have also made an effort to add layers of realism to how the zombies function and how the characters act in every situation, to provide a more gritty experience than you normally get with zombie books.
