Berserker Brides #7

Tamed by the Berserkers

Rate this book

“You are wild and disobedient. A threat to yourself and all others. To save your life, we must prove you are bonded and submitted fully to us.” His voice was a guttural growl.

I lick my lips and challenged, “And what if you fail?”

Thorsteinn snarled.

“We will not fail,” Vik said. "Sorrel, we’re going to tame you.”

A Squirrelly Warrior

I felt as confused by some of Thorsteinn's & Vik's action as Sorrel did but I did like their story. It's steamy, punishing, and provides another step forward in defeating the Corpse King.

I'm kinda ready for the Corpse King storyline to wrap up but I do like that it's allowing more bonds to be formed.

I like Jasper Woodcock's narrating but I really wish there was another voice to lend better separation between the characters.

Story: 4 stars
Narration: 3.5 stars

I have inhaled every single one of Lee Savino's Berserker books, and I'm not sure that any of them left me feeling as wrung out as this one did.

Sorrel is one of the spaewives taken from the abbey. She was living with Vik and Thorsteinn as their mate, but they left her to go on patrol and sent her to live with the unmated spaewives. Now, she's in a cage and about to go on trial for nearly killing another spaewife. But then, Vik and Thorsteinn show up, just in the nick of time.

I have never disliked any of the Berserkers. Been mad at them a time or two, but never thought Oh, I really don't like him all that much, at least, not until now. I have to admit that I didn't really like Vik or Thorsteinn at the very beginning. I identified with Sorrel so much and their actions made me dislike them. However, you know that it's not going to stay that way. They did redeem themselves.

I can't wait for Rosalind and Juliet's stories.

Unpologetic, 100% true guilty pleasure

For adults only (18+ years) Contains subject matter that may be offensive, or sensitive, to some. This includes supernatural, out of time theme, D/s menage romance between Berserker warriors and a spaewife (human endowed with some type of special good magic), violence (kidnapping, fighting to defend and to the death), and intimate scenes.

It has been a while since I have read one of the Berserker stories, and I still love them just as much. These should be read in order. There are too many pieces that wouldn't make sense if they were read here and there, but not in the order published.

The story about Sorrel, Thorsteinn, and Vic is told a little different. It starts some time after they met, took her to their home they built for her, and had to leave on patrol. Sorrel is a spitfire, that is very independent, and had developed a plan to escape and survive on her own in the forest. Thorsteinn and Vic are one of the top pairs of warriors and realized that Sorrel was their mate when they found her at the orphanage.

Now it appears that Sorrel doesn't believe they wanted her for a mate. Plus she faces death for supposedly attacking another spaewife when she went to leave them while they were out on patrol for the past few months. They must do whatever is necessary to make sure Sorrel is bonded to them permanently and won't have a desire to leave them ever again ...

I highly recommend this story and series. I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Tamed by the Berserkers is the seventh book in the Berserker Brides series, and I suggest reading these books in order. Sorrel has just been convicted of harming another spaewife, but since she’s one herself, she has the opportunity to be fully claimed, bonded, and submitted to two Berserkers, Vik and Thorsteinn. But they’ve tried before, no one seems to be listening to Sorrel, and too soon, their budding bonds are tested again and again. Can these three prove their bond in time to save Sorrel from the other Berserkers and the Corpse King?

Wow, this book was amazing! Fast paced, full of stubborn mates, wanting so much more than they currently have, and up against the many Berserkers and a timeline, Sorrel, Vik, and Thorsteinn captured my attention and heart right away! I loved Sorrel! She had an amazing story that she couldn’t tell, had two males she wanted desperately to bond with, but was trying to refuse them, and was so strong and a warrior of her own right. Vik and Thorsteinn were two sides of the same coin, one providing the softer and joking sides, the other the firm and stern. But together, they were determined to bring their bond to life, protectors of Sorrel to any extremes, and willing to go to any length to see her safe and loved. They definitely had some battles to fight, within each other’s relationship, within a curse, and within the Berserker ranks! I loved every second of reading this book, though! I definitely stayed up way past my bedtime, needing to figure out what happened next, but trying to go slower so that I didn’t end the book too soon! I have absolutely loved this entire series, loved Sorrel’s romance, and am already excited for the next book!

Berserkers Never Disappoint –This One is Excellent!!

Sorrel is a fierce warrior in her own right. Shunned by the other spaewives for wearing breeches and teaching herself to use a bow and arrow, she accepts the attentions of Thorsteinn and Vik. When they deny her in front of the Alphas, she is devastated. Under scrutiny for harming Rosalind she must prove her good intent.

Dangerous magic, the Corpse King and Berserker mate relationships once again combine to create a story you will not be able to put down!

This book concentrates on Sorrel, Vik, and Thorsteinn. Their relationship is not an easy one. Sorrel feels betrayed by her mates as they had left her in unmates women house - betrayal at full force!
There will be intrigue, secrets, dealing with one stubborn woman before creating a bond.
Will those three manage to secure their future or everything is lost?
I hope next books in the Berserks universe will be out soon as there are not many books left I think.

You have to feel for Sorrel. When Vik & Thorsteinn said they were not mates that hurt deep. I have to say the dark place that Sorrel goes, I think some of us have been there. When we believe that we have failed and others would be better off. It is not only depression but emptiness. As I read what she felt, I remembered those thoughts. She needed peace and if not for Vik & Thorsteinn, well you know. As much as what they told the Alpha’s hurt, I know they were trying to do what they believed would save her from the pack. I love that Hazel was there for Sorrel. The Corpse King has a new way of getting to the spaewives. This is a battle for all of the berserkers. Now that the moonstone is out there and the Corpse King is looking for it, it is a fight.

I look forward to reading about Juliet and Rosalind. These two are probably going to be the pinnacle of the story.

Tamed by her men

This book was so good that I read it all in one sitting and was just as captivated by this book as the first in the series and the just get better and better. I this one Sorrel had her mates briefly and thought they didn’t want her anymore and left her behind but Vik and Thorsteinn where needed to patrol the boundaries thinking there bond was complete they left. But all the changed the moment she followed Rosalind off the mountain to find the moonstone and once they had it Rosalind tried to give it to the Corspe King and that would make so powerful they would all die so Sorrel did what she had to do by striking her down and take the stone away, her plan work and just when she reached for the stone a black raven took it. Read the rest for yourself it so good.

This is another great addition to this series. Sorrel, Vik and Thorsteinn's story will keep you engaged and on edge as these three struggle to form an unbreakable bond and overcome past mistakes and misunderstandings. In a series filled with amazing characters, I thought Sorrel was truly special. She was so incredibly strong, smart, determined and capable and yet she had a much softer, hidden side that was easy to bruise and a fear that made her real and relatable. Vik and Thorsteinn were very intense. I loved how their many differences blended beautifully into the perfect pair of mates for Sorrel. The story itself is full of drama, powerful emotions, danger, action and steamy scenes. This is my independent, impartial review.

Redeeming and exciting

I wasn't sure I was going to like this one. Not with one spaewife pitted against another. I was getting really scared.

Sorrel attacked Rosalind in self defense. It ended up saving everyone. But no one believes Sorrel and she was left alone by her mates. They had to break through her barriers to take her.

Poor Sorrel needed a lot of love as she was abused a lot by the nuns. She was shunned and tattled on by Rosalind. I really hope Rosalind Mendes her ways and makes right with Sorrel. She was really mean to Sorrel even before the magic spell.

Israel's mates were also awesome. Letting her be herself, letting her be a warrior and blow stuff up. It was super sweet.

This one is with flashbacks throughout the book.

Sorrel is very different from all her "sisters", she's fierce, disobedient and a bit of a warrior.

Sorrel is left by her mates - Vik and Thornsteinn - with the other unmated girls, and because they couldn't bond with her, they accept to go on patrol.

One night Rosalind escapes from the mountain guarded by the warriors and Sorrel follows her, but after three days she's found by the Berserkers with Rosalind wounded at her feet.

The pack wants to punish her, but Vik and Thornsteinn want to reclaim her.

Elaborating on Sorrel, Vik and Thorsteinn"s story

This book elaborates on Sorrel, Vik and Thorsteinn"s story. The last book ends with Sorrel following after Rosalind and Vik and Thorsteinn off on patrol somewhere. Here the events that follow are explained, as well as why, but it takes a little bit to understand what is going on.
There is so much trickery from the Corpse King as he gains power. Sorrel, Vik and Thorsteinn must fight and defend themselves from the pack when Sorrel is accused of a crime. As this pairing works to how and strengthen the mate bond there are plenty of hot, sexy scenes.

Another Awesome Novel

What a great imagination this author has! Please, pretty please even, start the series at the beginning and read them all. They fit together so well! You won't regret it. You can even read them free if you have Kindle Unlimited!

These are so good that I have bought them all and put them in a group on my Kindle to be able to read again! I had already read several of the books in this series but when I realized there were some new ones, I started at the beginning and am reading through them all again. My only regret is that I'm coming to the end of the list!

Vik and Thorsteinn and Sorrel

Great story!! Sorrel is a different kind of spaewife than the other’s. She is a warrior. A fighter. A shield queen. Such a protector and then she is blamed for hurting another spaewife. But there’s so much more to
The story than that. I don’t like that the nuns, and all the other spaewives have abused and been mean to Sorrel. She’s really quite the protector and just wants to live alone in the woods,. Until she meets her mates. She’s always afraid they will leave her too but they vow they never will. This author is great at story plots. I’ve loved every berserker story. Can’t wait to read the next one!

This Series Only Gets Better!

With each new book, you are pulled deeper into the world of the Berserkers and the women who tame their beasts. Although the books are standalone stories, they are building towards an epic ending. As much as I am excited to read about the final battle, I enjoy this series so much that I would hate to see it end!
This book was different from the other books in that it was mostly told in flashbacks. Definitely an interesting way of telling the story, but no less enjoyable and entertaining.

Wow, another winner. I loved Sorrel's story. She never gave up fighting, even when it seemed like everyone was against her. Her mates stood by her even though they thought the bonding didn't take place. Thorsteinn and Vik, her mates protected her while hoping to rebond and clear her name when the Berserkers thought she attacked another girl. This book kept my interest from page 1 right through to the epilogue. The storyline is well developed and the main characters personalities are well developed.

A second chance for all

Tamed by the Berserkers by Lee Savino is another exciting installment in her Berserker series. Sorrel is in trouble and her Berserkers made a regrettable mistake. Throughout this book, the series’ plot continues with the addition of righting wrongs and rebuilding bonds, a second chance for Sorrel, Vik, and Thorsteinn. Sorrel is a very complex spaewife, but she has the perfect warriors to tame her while also freeing her to be herself. It’s a really lovely story in that respect while turning up the heat at just the right times.

Sorrel is not like the other Spaewives. She’s much more independent. She prefers to wear breeches, cut her hair and can handle weapons. Her plan had been to escape the abby, and live on her own in the forrest. The nighttime raid on the abby bynthe berserkers changed all that.

I loved the story between Sorrel and her mates, Vik and Thorsteinn. Lucky that they like their mate with a bit more spunk. This story gets us ine step closer to defeating the corpse king. Now we just have to wait for the next book.

Strong love

What another great installment into Ms. Savino's berserker stories!
A woman who does not fit into the others ideas of a woman. One who has her own dreams and goals! Two men who want her but are not quite sure how to handle her differences. This causes issues in their budding relationship, they will all have to find a way to make this work. It will mean some compromise, acceptance, strong guidance, discipline, hot sexy menage scenes and a lot of love!

The little hunter!

Teaching herself how to hunt and aim with bow & arrow was how she was going to save her friends.
This story is about one girl trying to keep away from the evil ghost king and the spells he weaves. The rest of the story is about two Berserkers who turn into wolves to hunt for food but need a mate to settle the Beserker in them. This seventh story was mainly about perceived betrayal.

Taming the beasts

While taming Sorrel, the beasts are tamed - and the Corpse King is A thwarted again. But not defeated, at.least not yet. To really understand the whole story, these books should be read in order. Fascinating storyline and characters , I look forward to every new release. If you enjoy mythical beasts, magic, danger and love mixed with Alpha males and some sexy times, I bet you will too!

Adventurous, Enticing and Mystifying

I really liked that Sorrow was a rebel. If she lived in today's world, she would be a tattooed biker chick or a soldier. It had been so long since I've read a Berserker book I couldn't remember many details from previous stories. If I'd at least skimmed one or two of the books just before this one, I wouldn't have been as confused. A good read, not for younger readers.

Secret

Sorrel is taken to be judged for the a crime she had no choice to do. Her mates run back to her defense. Thorsteinn and Vic have to find out what happened and reform their bond with her. She is defiant and feisty and they like that. Can they save their mate? Will she give into the bond? Loved the book.

Among My Favorites

Some of the stories bothered me with the subjugation of the women. I love the stories where the women stay true to themselves and change their mates as much as their mates change them. This is one of the most endearing characters, but my emotions moved all over the board. Nice job!
