An out of work hairdresser, her childhood crush and a summer on Nantucket.

Olivia Justice is trying to get back to real life after appearing on a reality dating show. She needs a job to support her mother's long-term care and after no luck with openings in a hair salon, she accepts a position as a nanny--at the summer house her parents used to own. The one good thing is that her best friend, Ella, will be there--along with Ella's older brother, the guy Olivia has carried a torch for since she was a teenager.

After a failed proposal, Dawson Holt heads to Nantucket to refocus on what he wants from life. With his sister's wedding on the horizon, he realizes how lonely life has become. When he reconnects with Olivia, he starts to see that maybe things worked out for a reason after all.

When his ex-girlfriend shows up with his grandmother's ring on her finger and claims she now wants to marry him, will Dawson and Olivia be able to conquer the past and move towards the future?

Britney Mills was born in Utah but parts of her heart lie in Boston, Washington D.C. and Germany. Her love of writing began with the third grade book her teacher assigned her to write and she spent hours hidden behind her mother’s couch writing pages and pages about knights and castles.
Most of her time consists of taking care of her young son and triplets but writing keeps her sane as she travels along on the adventures of characters to come.
When she’s not mothering, writing or reading, she’s probably out playing a sport, going on a hike, or binge watching some kind of murder mystery show. She is a fan of chick flicks and adventure/action stories in books and movies, and can even get her cowboy husband to watch along with her.

What a fun book to spend a few hours with! My friend sent me a physical copy of the book, but when I found the author had uploaded her audiobooks to YouTube, I decided to listen to it. I loved the older brother/little sister’s best friend romance. With quite a bit of heart and a little drama to spice things up, this clean romance kept me eagerly listening.

After just coming off of a reality dating show, Olivia Justice has the difficult task of finding a job. She needs to earn enough money to properly care for her mother who suffers from early onset dementia. After striking out several places, she accepts a nanny position at her family’s old Nantucket summer home. Living next door is her childhood friend Ella whose older brother just happens to be visiting and whom Olivia’s had a crush on since they were teenagers.

Dawson Holt wants to escape to Nantucket and reevaluate things after his girlfriend rejects his proposal. When he meets Olivia again, there’s an instant attraction, which makes ignoring his sister’s best friend hard to do. Just when their friendship develops into more though, Dawson’s old girlfriend shows up wearing his grandmother’s ring and wanting to now accept his proposal.

I loved the romance between Dawson and Olivia. They both have things they need to work through which makes beginning a new romance difficult. I liked the way they started out as friends and things built from there. There are some fun laugh out loud moments and some really swoony moments. Dawson’s ex-girlfriend is one of those you can’t understand why he liked her in the first place, but she makes a great antagonist.

This is the first book I’ve read by Britney Mills and it won’t be my last. The narrator was particularly good and I enjoyed the way she distinguished each of the characters. The storyline is fun and romantic. It’s a sweet, clean, feel good story that’s enjoyable to read on a rainy day. While it’s part of a series, it can definitely be read as a standalone.

Enjoyable book, clean romance. Dawson and Olivia are the stars of this book. All their friends are finding love while they haven’t. Poor Dawson let himself be dragged along by a terrible girlfriend. Who waits weeks on end to get the answer to a proposal. Man up dude! So while he is in relationship limbo he reconnects with Olivia. Olivia is going thru a terrible time in her life when she has little control over her life. Plus she is covering expenses for her sick mother’s healthcare and her mooching sister. The book shows how meeting up again on a ferry changes the course of their lives for the better. Of the whole series so far I would call this the happily ever after book since there were several weddings that happened for various other characters in this series.

This is the fourth book in the series and it is kind of fun that the guys featured in the book are all friends on a rowing team. Especially since the main focus is on the girl. This is a best friends brother romance. Featuring Olivia who was a character in book 3 on the reality show. I am not sure if Dawson has been mentioned in the other books. This book starts off with Dawson in a serious relationship. That was probably the biggest downer to me. But the fact that the girl he is trying to marry won’t commit makes it much better. It is a believable storyline. I liked both of the characters and was rooting for their happily ever after.

Match made in Heaven

I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series! These sweet stories and my tastes are a match made in Heaven.
The plot is engaging, the characters relatable, the romance makes my heart pitter-patter.
On a steaminess level I would rate this a pleasant PG.
This book is definitely worthy of a repeat read!

If you like best friend's brother stories, then you'll like Britney Mills' book, Matched Austen. Olivia Justice has returned home after appearing on the reality dating show, The Suitor. She appeared on the show to make some money to help with her mother's care. Her mother is at the Jones Alzheimer Institute. Now Olivia needs to find another job as soon as possible. When her bff, Ella, tells her about a position for a nanny in Nantucket, she agrees to take it. It brings back a lot of memories, however, as she'll be in the house that her family used to own. The new owners, the Bourdens, have five year old twins. The best thing about the job is that Olivia will be able to see Ella and her brother, Dawson. Years ago, Olivia had a crush on Dawson and they shared one kiss. Now Dawson is the CEO of Holt Packaging. While Ella is weeks away from getting married, Dawson has an almost fiance who is dragging her feet. What will happen when Olivia and Dawson spend some time together? I enjoyed this story because I like this troupe. Also the characters were likable and easy to relate to.

Although I enjoyed this book (& the series) for some reason I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the others. It could just be my frame of mind when reading this one wasn’t quite as in tune as it was with the others - although I did enjoy this book but the first one in this series is still my favourite. I was happy though to meet up with characters from that one again in this one. The storyline for this book is based on the story of Sense & Sensibility which I could see the similarities with & the way it was done turning it into its own unique story but still keeping some of the key elements from Ms. Austen’s original was well done. It was just the emotional roller-coaster that everybody seemed to be on that made it difficult for me to really get into the story this time. But that’s just me - as I said, the writing is great & we get to meet up with a lot of characters from the other books in the series in this one which is always nice. I can definitely recommend the series to anyone, as it is clean & always has a happy ending.

This is my favorite book out of all the Austin series. All the characters made me feel part of the story and kept me wanting more. Each book can be read as a stand alone. I just love the idea of friends growing up and the families being close. The love of friends and support they give when life gets hard was such a draw for me in this story. The romance was a great part of the story; for who, you will have to read the book to find out! Britney Mills has not disappointed me with this series, each book was so good I was begging for the next. I will definitely be reading anything she writes!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

I was so happy to see Olivia get her own story! Olivia lost her job after agreeing to be on the dating show. Her ill mother requires long-term care and she needs to find work after returning home to pay her mother's medical bills. Not finding what she wants, she agrees to nanny 2 children... the children who live in the summer home she grew up in. Her best friend is staying at her families house and they were looking forward to getting to spend some time together again. What she wasn't expecting was the best friends brother also being there... she has had a crush on him for years... and so the fun begins.

Once again, Lorana Hoopes did a fine job narrating this book.

Patiently Waiting

Olivia was patiently waiting to see how quickly her mom deteriorated or the money ran out or she found a job or love or .... Dawson was patiently waiting for his girlfriend to decide whether or not they would get married. Olivia was ready to get off the roller coaster that was her life, but it didn't look like anything she wanted was going to work out. The story was good, everyone's romances were interesting, and the ending was happy.

What a wonderful and touching story about the magnitude of childhood friendship and how love can be right where you left it all those years. This is the first book I've read from @britneymmillsauthor, and it certainly won't be the last! I traveled with this book and I'm excited to see where it journeys to on its way through the "Readerhood of the Traveling Books"!
