Heather's Forge -- things happen there. Unexpected things. Bad things. Scary things. And some good things too, like a woman inheriting an inn in a village and transforming it into a very "happening place." It was fun following the development of the characters and the action through the 6 books, how Allie and Levi discover who each other really is, and who THEY really are, what they really want, and what they can really do. Not gonna give away much, but expect some weird and wonderful adventures at the Barrell Inn and in Heather's Forge. Excellent not only because I was gifted with the series, but excellent in any format and well worth the investment.

Really enjoyed going from one book to the next in this collection
Very interesting mystery series. Heather's Forge is a great backdrop for the murders & mystique that kept me entertained for hours! Loved how the underground tunnels played such a part in the unexpected happenings throughout the stories! Really a fun read. I was disappointed that Allie & Levi did not marry first & then live together. It would have been more meaningful.

Ok to read but very cliche.
While I enjoy cozy mysteries very much, I found this box set to be something I kept reading so I could get to the end. Cameron used WAY too many cliches while writing. How many characters can "trip over" something they should know how to do? There were also some questions left unanswered - and not in a "can't wait to read the next book" way. The stories were cute but not intriguing enough to be a page turner.

Inheriting an old in in a time of change.
Just when her world falls apart, her aunt died and she inherited the old inn. When she arrives everyone is mean and contrary without reason, finding out what is going on and getting everyone working with her instead of against her takes time, fun read hard to put down.

A good collection
I enjoyed this collection of stories, they are interconnected but each is a story by itself. There were times when it wasn't very interesting but that would change and it would get interesting again. I would recommend it.

Caught me off guard
Started out like most books, slow. As I read more and more I could not.put it down. The ending was a real shocker. NL Cameron did a great job writing this book. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Riviting
I couldn't put these mysteries down, I live the characters and Pixie the cat. There are so many twists and turns at times it feels like a rollercoaster ride. I can't wait to see if the series continues.

What a great series. All six books were amazing. Wish there were more. Once you finish one you have to keep going . Loved Allie and Levi.

I just could not get interested in the series. The sentence dialogue was corny and the characters not that interesting. Not going there anymore.

Great read
This was a great enchanting cozy mystery. All 6 books were great. They were easy to follow and each book kept you in suspense as to what will happen next.

Review
This was the whole series of 6 books. Allie inherited the Barrel Inn from her great aunt. Her fiance had cheated on her and she was glad to leave NYC. She soon realized her aunt was murdered, and sets out to figure out who did it, almost dying herself. With the help of her handyman Like she solves that murder and 5 more. She finds out she likes figuring out puzzles and bringing murderers to justice. The stories were good; I liked Allie's journey as she comes to live the town and the people in it.
