Often, after I’ve completed a thorough reading of a great novel, I’ll pick up the books summary (if there is one) to make sure I got all of the authors intentions, ideas, and concepts through the reading of their novel. There were a lot of repetitive statements made in this the summary of “Where the Crawdads Sing”. Perhaps this was the intention as chapters were blocked together for review. And, even though they were only a handful of characters, I would’ve liked to of seen a character list included with a brief description of each of these characters.
There was little mention of Kya’s observations and study of nature which became a part of her character. The final A.H. Poem revealed that profound influence leading to her self protective actions.
