I don't think I was really invested in this as much as the other.

I think it was more the storyline than the characters.

Duke of Strathmore, Griffin, is an agent for the crown and is being accused of treason. Violet, our heroine's brother is head of the department and placed him on house arrest in their home.

Violet is engaged, but is question whether this is the man for her. Violet and Griffin have an attraction and she also believes he's innocent. Violet determines she will help him prove his innocence.

And that's pretty much the gist of the story.

I found it dragging sometimes and not holding my interest. I think also there might have been too much inter dialogue.

Still enjoyed the majority of the books I've read by this author and will continue to read her future books. This might be more me then the story in this case.

I loved Violet and Griffin

This was an excellent read. Griffin is a beautiful man and Violet is the perfect heroine. She is engaged to Lord Flowerpot, as the H calls him who has s dull and boring and only cares for his plants. The H kisses her and sets her naughty Violet free. I loved them both. There is one scene where he is an add but he groveled perfectly. The whole book is just wonderful. Totally beautiful.

The hero is under "house arrest" in the heroine's home because her brother is the leader of a spy group and the Home Office doesn't want to put a peer of the realm (the hero, who's a duke) in prison while the heroine's brother investigates if the hero is a traitor.

Reasons for the 1 star

- The hero and heroine are alone in a room in the house at least four times (once in the drawing, twice in his bedroom, and once in hers). I typically don't mind this, but for some reason, it grated on my nerves this time. I blame the writing and/or plot because when I'm not interested/invested in the book, I usually focus on the historical inaccuracies.

- The reasons for the hero's refusal to fall in love are unoriginal and felt like a plot device to create conflict between the H/h. Reason #1: He witnessed his dad's love for his mom and his grief over losing her. Reason #2: He was infatuated with a beautiful French spy (unbeknownst to him at the time) who betrayed him and got him captured and tortured. Reason #2 may be related to his trust issues more than love.

- The H/h fell in love way too fast. This isn't the only book by Scarlett Scott with insta-love. I think this is the main issue I have with her books, but the audiobooks of the first three books from this series were available so I decided to give them a listen. I won't be continuing the series on Kindle Unlimited.

What a gripping read! Lady Violet was bored, she was left to crochet misshapen items with her great aunt for company. In addition, she was engaged to a man whose main thoughts were for his plants. Lucien, Duke of Arden was her over protective and dictatorial brother. Griffin, Duke of Strathmore had an irreverent attitude and he loved to tease Violet. He was accused of being a traitor. Violet and Griffin had an attraction to each other and schemed to prove Griffin’s innocence. This was an enthralling read with a good amount of action and danger, not to mention some very heated and heartfelt moments. They are also some humorous episodes, particularly when the old members of the league got together. This is an excellent series. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5 stars. Dangerous Duke is book 3 in Scarlett Scott’s League of Dukes series, which I’ve been reading and loving! This one has been my least fav in the series so far, but that said, it’s still a solid historical romance.

Lady Violet West first meets Griffin, Duke of Strathmore, when he falls into her lap—literally! Griffin is an agent for the Crown who is currently on suspension because he’s being accused of treason/a crime he didn’t commit. While the powers-to-be get the facts checked out, Griffin is put under house arrest at the head of the department’s home, which happens to be Violet’s brother. Violet thinks that Griffin is the answer to all of her dreams of adventure! She’s currently betrothed to a safe and the perfect man, on-paper at least, but to Violet he doesn’t make her feel anything and just seems like the most boring man in England. But she feels a lot for Griffin and they decides she wants to help him!

I liked this setup a lot at first, but somewhere in the middle it started to lose my interest. It was about the 50-55% mark where I really thought the story was going to be wrapping up but then I realized there was a lot more still left and I was kind of over it. 😅 Now I did like how her brother Arden is Griffin’s nemesis and he’s being kept under house arrest. I liked seeing them plan to marry and sneak off. I enjoyed seeing Griffin cook for Violet, his mother actually worked in the kitchen of his father’s house before they wed and she taught her son how to cook. They both have some past traumas in their lives (her mother committed suicide) and I liked seeing them open up to one another about their lives.

4.5 stars. I loved it! The hero and heroine really shine in this book, they are just fine separately, but so much better together. I especially loved the way that the hero always treated the heroine with tenderness and respect, even when he was denying his feelings to himself. He was an alpha male, but didn’t constantly act like a huge asshole to push the heroine away.

My two complaints:
1. The constant use of the word “cunny” 🤮
2. The very obvious villain, it was clear who it was as soon as the person was introduced into the story.

I stayed up until 2AM to finish this book, undoubtably it will be a regret I’ll deal with tomorrow. 🙃

Safe for me, but marking it as SWE because heroine is engaged to OM and never really breaks it off with him. She goes to see the OM once, kisses him, and realizes she doesn’t want to marry him, but doesn’t actually reach out and tell him. She just goes off with the hero instead. There were extenuating circumstances that do make her actions a lot more forgivable. No OW at all, but hero was a manwhore and a few details of his past made me want to retch.

This one didn't really do much for me...
Firstly I hate insta love so I don't quote understand Violet
The Hero whom I have forgotten the name by now, also seemed quite lost in his thoughts and techniques.Who on earth grows up in such a healthy loving environment and acts like a jerk when it comes to love?I don't grasp him, sorry.
Plot was also strange again.Maybe this series is starting to go downhill 🤔

Scarlet’s books never fail to keep me riveted to the pages , they flow so easily and make reading them a joy not to be missed.

This has a wonderful story that’s touching and gives you a sense that the two really do belong together.

Griffin and Violet are led together by her brother , but not intentionally.

Griffin is now a suspected traitor, a Duke and fellow member of a government agency now led by the Duke of Arden , Violet ‘s brother , he’s a guest/ prisoner housed at Arden’s estate , the only person who believes in his innocence is Vi.

Violet has a fear of becoming like her mother , of suffering with the same condition that caused her suicide and thus she throws herself into a situation with Griffin that she thinks is all her own doing , but is it .

Does he love her, does he care at all , or is he using her to gain his freedom?

You have to read this book , it one that really does keep you turning pages and is a wonderful adventure.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

Dangerous Duke is the third book in Scarlett Scott’s League of Dukes series, but it works perfectly fine as a standalone novel. I’ve read Her Deceptive Duke, the final book in the Wicked Husbands series, which worked as a prequel to this series, and Nobody’s Duke, the first book in this series. I missed Heartless Duke, the second book in this series, but it did not lessen my enjoyment of this one. You certainly have a better understanding of the world if you’ve read the other books, but you get more than enough information to understand without. I will admit, however, if you plan to go back and read the other books, you will have spoilers. Such is the case for me with Heartless Duke. I love Scarlett Scott’s writing and adore this series, and knowing I missed book two has me desperate to go back and read it. I have knowledge of how certain elements will end, so just be aware of this if you’re planning to read the other books in the series.

Although Dangerous Duke is only my fourth Scarlett Scott read – in addition to the aforementioned books, I’ve also read the author’s Lord of Pirates – I’m going to go out on a limb and say Scarlett Scott is capable of becoming my favourite author in the genre. There’s more to these stories than a simple historical romance, ensuring you’re sucked in beyond the drama of a budding love. In fact, I’m going to say she’s already in my top three historical romance authors. Maybe even in second place. Such is the impact Scarlett Scott’s books have had upon me: I cannot help but fall deeply in love, devouring the book in a single sitting.

Dangerous Duke was no different. In fact, it’s my favourite Scarlett Scott read to date. It’s a four-point-five-star rating, and I came extremely close to giving it a five-star rating. It’s personal preference that had me rounding down, as the mystery element of the story was a bit too obvious for me. I wanted a few more red herrings when it came to who was really the bad guy, but such is just my personal preference. Even with my desire for more red herrings, I found this one to be captivating in the most consuming of ways.

With fabulous writing, a storyline filled with drama, characters you fall in love with, and lots of little things to keep you invested in the series, this story packs a serious punch. The romance within this one is complete within this story, but there are little pieces of the overall storyline left hanging to get you diving into book four of the series. A book I cannot wait for, as I fell in love with the character whose story is going to be told in book four. I need answers, I need more of the characters I’ve fallen in love with, and I’ll be diving into the book as soon as I get my hands on it.

Without a doubt, Scarlett Scott knows how to write a gripping story. Fans of historical romance need to give her books a read – the required steam and drama of the genre can be found in abundance, along with fabulously done light mystery elements to make this stand out from the crowd.

I am reviewing out of order. *gasp* So let's sum up my experience with the series thus far.

I've liked it. I've liked it well enough to keep going. Interestingly enough, I love the intregue more than the romance. There are LOTS of sexy times. And from book 1-2, I liked the characters even more.

However, this is the book.

Each book is timeline connected (one after the other). However, there is not a story thread connecting where you can get lost. So jumping in here is doable.

What worked for me:
Spunky heroine who is overlooked by everyone: the hero, her brother, her betrothed. But she has spunk and going to be part of the solution not in need of saving. The hero is broken but not so broken he is broody. He screws up but knows how to ask forgiveness. The banter with these two is what had me turning the pages.
What didn't:
Nothing. I really enjoyed this story!

Recommendation: Read it!

1882 "Violet had not intended to trip the Duke of Strathmore. Nor had she meant for him to land in her lap. But as his large body pitched forward into her silken shirts, one hand finding purchase on her bosom, she could not deny it was the most interesting thing that had happened to her since... well forever!" With that opening line I was captured!! Oh yes, Griffin, Duke of Strathmore is definitely dangerous! To the senses, all five of them, yes like never before. Sight (his dark hair, his astounding blue eyes, his lips far to full for a man's mouth), smell, sound, touch and best of all taste as she could only image what those lips tasted like, but oh, the reality was so much more!!
I was laughing out loud from the first page as Scarlet Scott takes us into the thoughts of Lady Violet, sister to the man who was keeping Griffin under house arrest. An agent of the crown, Griffin was suspected of being the leak in the organization giving out secrets, which of course was ridiculous and Violet decided to help prove his innocence. What? Yes she was bored, set to marry Lord Flowerpot, wait, I meant Charles, Lord Almsley, whose greatest joy in life was horticulture.
What an adventure! There is so much to Griffin underneath that sinfully handsome exterior that I could not wait to find out more.
Every time I start a new book by this author, I am reminded how much her words bring so much joy to my heart. Filled with humor, quirky characters (Aunt Hortense who dressed as if she was from another century, still mourning her husband who had passed when Violet was a girl), suspense, a sizzling attraction that comes off the pages (yes I had to keep the air turned down low) and a wounded hero deep down that needed someone like Violet to bring him to the light.
I highlighted so many passages on my kindle, the entire book was in my notes and I kept going back and rereading some of the best (although that is impossible to define because every word and thought is stellar!)
Scarlett has the magic touch with her amazing words and descriptions that always keep me incapable of movement until I turn the last page. She truly has a gift that reminds me why I love historical romance and only makes me long for her next adventure, which hopefully will be soon!!

Scarlett Scott has a new fan. This is the first book I have read by her and I love it. The dual plot and subplot were well balanced throughout the book. Griffin, Duke of Strathmore was fighting for his reputation against an accusation of treason. His nemesis, Lucien, Duke of Arden and the head of Griffin's special unit for the Home Office, was dead set on his guilt and would see him rot in Newgate. Under house arrest in Lucien's home, Lucien's sister, Lady Violet West became the object of his plan to find justice for himself. Little did he know they would fall in love and face many obstacles. These are well developed characters. They are realistic and not over the top or full of too much drama. I really liked them. In each situation they responded as any average common-sense person would. I fell in love with Griffin. He is a unique, facetious and funny person in a dire situation. Violet comes to his rescue to give him the opportunity he needs to prove his innocence. She was taught to be the perfect lady. To be content with a mediocre betrothal arranged by her brother. But when Griffin kissed her, she realized there was another facet of life she never knew about. Passion and desire. None of which she had for her betrothed. I admire Violet. She knew what she wanted and went after it and she wanted Griffin. For example, she wanted to learn to shoot so she could defend herself. Lucien refused. But while on the run with Griffin, he taught her how. In the end, everyone would be glad she did. Violet and Lucien had more in common than they thought and it brought them closer together. The suspense and tension in the story had me glued to each page hurrying to turn the page to keep up with the action. There are several open bedroom scenes but I must tell you that the author has tastefully written them in a way you actually feel the love, passion and desire between Violet and Griffin. Griffin and Violet were equals in the bedroom. They shared their fears, hopes and dreams with each other. Reading how their relationship developed it had a calming effect on me as Griffin understood Violet in ways that surprised even her. Griffin was full of hidden talents. Violet was impressed. This is a must read. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Suspended from his work as an agent for the Crown, Griffin, Duke of Strathmore, is basically under house arrest at the home of the new head of the League Lucien the Duke of Arden & Griffin’s on a desperate race to clear his name by any means.
Lady Violet West sister of Lucien is about to be married to Charles who is probably the most boring man in England & who loves his plants more than her plus his horrid mother is planning on living with them. When the disgraced Duke of Strathmore lands in her lap literally, after tripping over her crochet wool she decides he is the answer to her longing for adventure. Though her brother is convinced of Strathmore’s guilt, Violet is as certain that he's innocent.
Griffin doesn’t want her interference. Violet won’t take no for an answer. What a partnership it is!
Well written, fast paced, lovely characters, intrigue, mystery & an attraction that is HOT.
I was drawn in from the first page & gripped all the way through. I loved both Griffin & Violet & the way they grew to love each other. I also loved how characters from previous books make appearances. An enthralling captivating read

After 15 years of service to the crown, Griffin Lynton, the Duke of Strathmore, finds himself accused of treason he is innocent of and under house arrest. Even more unfortunately for him, his host, the Duke of Arden, happens to have a lovely sister, a distraction Griffin can ill afford.

Lady Violet West is set to marry a many-titled earl, Charles, who by all accounts utterly adores her and unfortunately happens to be about as dull as dirt. When she encounters the Duke of Strathmore in her home, he makes her take note of just what is missing between her and her fiance. While her brother is convinced of Griffin's guilt, Violet has her doubts. Helping him clear his name could be just the adventure she's been quietly craving, but for Griffin this could be his chance to have his vengeance against Arden by ruining the man's only sister.

But soon Griffin finds himself dealing with feelings and emotions he thought long dead, though it may be too late for him to be with Violet by the time he sorts them out.

I loved this one. I found myself taking forever to finish it because I kept going back to reread and make highlights of terribly romantic dialogue. I'm a sucker for the broody tortured heroes and Griffin fit the bill and both he and Violet showed good character development as well. It was great to see Violet learn to be her own person and stand up for herself and what she knew to be right for her.

This was my first read from this author but I'll be following the rest of this series now and catching up on the previous installments.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Griffin, Duke of Strathmore has been framed for a crime he did not commit. While certain people are trying to get the facts straight about the crime, he is under house arrest and on another duke's estate. While staying there, he literally falls into the lap of this captor's sister. Her name is Violet and she can't help but fall for the man staying in her home. But when the two decide to run away and get married, this dangerous duke has another reason for marrying his enemy's sister.

This was such a fun read!! There were so many ICONIC moments in here! There was a scene in chapter one where Griffin falls into Violet's lap. There is a scene where he cooks for her 😍 And omg the groveling scene!!! So good!

This was a buddy read with @rachelreadsandsings

Intriguing hot romance! ♥️🔥

Lady Violet is betrothed to someone who cares more about plants than her and she really doesn’t think much of herself. She has been very sheltered because of her Mother’s suicide. Her wedding day to the plant man she doesn’t love is fast approaching, if she doesn’t do something soon her life will not be one she desires.
The Duke of Strathmore is confined in Violet’s household on treason charges, charges he is trying to prove false. He was in prison before while serving the crown, a horrible time for him that he cannot repeat. Currently there is not enough evidence to send him to prison, but he’s also running out of time.
They first meet because he literally falls into her lap due to a crocheting mishap. They band together to help each other out of their issues.
Extremely well written romance that has interesting characters, smoldering steam, and laugh out loud/rip your heart out moments. It drew me into Violet and Griffin’s world for a while and I enjoyed the escape. I am looking forward to Violet’s brother’s story!

Griffin, Duke of Strathmore, has been suspended from the Special League due to suspicions he is a traitor - he has worked for the Crown for 15 yrs. & now Lucien, the Duke of Arden, & leader of the Special League has placed him under house arrest at Lark House (Arden's residence). Griffin has been trying to come up with proof that evidence found in his office was planted but is running short of time before Arden orders him to Newgate prison.

Arden's sister, Lady Violet West, lives with her brother & has now created a wonderful distraction for Griffin's prisoner status. He literally was tripped by her crochet thread & landed on top of her in a not too innocent positioning of hands & legs. A kiss sends both of them in to feelings not felt before but Violet is betrothed the most boring Lord in London. Violet wants excitement, she is tired of her brother's constant watching & protecting of her. She knows what Griffin has been suspected of being & that her brother is sure he is guilty but she knows in her heart he is innocent of the charges.

Griffin finds Violet breathtaking & he wants her more than he has ever wanted anyone but he will not be hurt or lied to again, so love is out of the question. However; Violet has already begun falling for him & insists on helping him prove his innocence.

They agree on forming a partnership that benefits both of them & so their journey begins to find the truth - but will the suspected criminal of a duke & a feisty, loyal lady find more peril than planned & what about their admitting their hearts desires?

I loved this story & Griffin & Violet were such wonderful characters - Scarlett always pulls me in to her books & in to the lives of her characters. I am looking forward to Lucien's story in the next book in the series! I was gifted the Advanced Reader Copy of this book; all opinions are my own & have been voluntarily given.

A man who can cook. Sign us all up for this guy. I do love the League. Griffin and Violet are written in way that you believe their journey to love. Violet is written as a bit quirky and she endears herself to us as readers. Griffin, what can I say, he is sex on a stick! I love scenes where the main characters are humbling themselves all in the name of love and the one in this story is so good. You will not want to miss it.

I really enjoyed this one! Scarlett Scott is a must buy author for me and never disappoints! When our hero Griffin, the Duke of Strathmore, literally falls into the lap of our heroine Lady Violet West its an instant connection on both sides that neither is looking for. She being engaged to another peer of the realm and he basically under house arrest in her brother's home due to false accusations of treason. In Griffin, Violet finds someone who sparks life into her somewhat boring day to day existence. Griffin also feels a spark but of course tries to write it off as lust. Violet proposes a plan to help Griffin with his quest to clear his name. He agrees to her assistance but more as a chance to get back at her brother. Falling in love is not part of his plan, but we all know what can happen even to the best laid of plans! This was a fun and steamy read that I highly recommend!

Mrs. Scott’s writing never disappoints. She is one of my favorite historical romance authors. I love her quirky characters, the angst, and the characters’ well-thought-out backstories.

Despite over a decade of service to the crown, Griffin is confined to Violet’s household under suspicion of treason. Violet’s brother is determined to take Griffin down and pin him with heinous charges despite doubtful evidence.

Violet believes Griffin and does her best to save him from her brother’s single-minded determination to destroy him. The characters are forced to elope. Griffin only thinks to save himself from the gallows, or does he? Violet wants to escape marriage to a boring plant-obsessed man, or is that all? Griffin and Violet have a lot in common, including a fear of impending mental illness. We also learn of Violet’s brother’s tragic backstory.

What I love about Scott’s writing is that she writes characters you loathe but simultaneously adore because of their relatable qualities. I highly enjoyed this book! I look forward to the plant-lover’s HEA as well!

"Dangerous Duke" by Scarlett Scott is book Three in the League of Dukes Series. This is the story of Griffin, Duke of Strathmore and Violet West. I have read (and Loved!) the previous books, but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Griffin worked for a agent for the Crown but was wrongly accused of being a traitor then he became under house arrest by the Duke of Arden a fellow member of the government agency. So Griffin is stuck at Arden's estate which leads him to be in close contact with Violet, the Duke's sister. Violet is to be married but isn't to happy to be doing so. When Violet learns of Griffin's story she starts to feel he is innocent and works to clear his name. Of course Griffin isn't on board at first but they start to work together finding more than just clearing his name...they find love.

Too much internal dialogue sinks potentially good story. 2.5 Stars

Violet and Griffin's story began with great elements- Intrigue, divisions of loyalty, interesting characters and sizzling love scenes.

But the intrigue and conflict never lived up to potential. Instead story devolves around internal dialogues- insecurities, fears, hopes, etc.

The culmination begins with a trite scene- an overheard conversation where hero puts on the macho and denies feelings for heroine. What happens next is an easy guess.

Unless scorching sex scenes are your main priority, skip this book. Recommend this author's 'Sins and Scoudrels' series instead.

Editing: Two words, run-on sentences. "..and...and...but.., and..".

4.25 “I found a nearly perfect historical romance novel” stars

This was my first Scarlett Scott novel, and this story hit all my HR needs:
— an intelligent heroine
— believable build up of romance, independent of the insta lust
— a very interesting premise
— and most importantly, a male hero who wasn’t an asshole

Can I really just gush over that last point? Griffin is a hero I could get behind. Scarred physically and mentally from having been captured and tortured, emotionally guarded from love because of his father’s mental sickness (what would be called Alzheimer’s today), Griffin is a perfect match for Violet, who has had her fair share of trouble growing up — her mother, who suffered from bipolar disorder, committed suicide when she was just ten. They’re two broken people whose jagged ends fit each other perfectly.

The premise: Griffin has been imprisoned at the Duke of Arden’s house because the latter believes Griffin is a traitor to the Crown. Violet is the Duke of Arden’s sister, who lives a very different type of house arrest — one where she is forced to crochet all day, lest she suffer from manic episodes like their mother. She’s just bored. She meets Griffin accidentally one afternoon, and convinced of his innocence, decides to help him find proof that’ll free him.

Consent is so damn sexy, and I loved the way Griffin asked Violet on their wedding night, if she was ready. And if she wasn’t, he was ready to wait for however long it took. That’s something I’ve never come across in HR novels, and I swear, that’s what made this book a 5 star read.

To top it off, he thinks women should learn self defence!

And I found it hilarious, how though he thinks he’s using Violet like a pawn to prove his innocence, all along he’s falling for her, and doing his damnedest to make her happy. Like dude, you don’t do all those things for someone you don’t love. 😹

Though the prose about everyone’s “feelings” was a bit tedious to get through, it did not diminish my enjoyment of the book. I 100% recommend this book for HR buffs! Be warned, it’s a bit of a slow burn. 😊

Edit: I initially rated it 5 stars, but now 24 hours after finishing the book, I feel 4 stars is better suited for this book. I reserve 5 stars mainly for books I’m going to re-read, hence the rating change.

Witty banter, flirtation and passionate steam make Scarlett Scott’s DANGEROUS DUKE a fun and fast read that held just the right amount of drama as one Duke is falsely accused of treason and one engaged lady throws propriety to the wind to help prove his innocence.

I loved the banter between Griffin and Violet as they dance closer and closer to falling in love. Violet is clearly intelligent, and a firm believer in justice, a justice that she feels is not being served. Has she gone too far to help the Duke? Has he used his charm to trick her into his bed or have they each found the other half of their soul against all odds?

Scarlett Scott has just created two of my favorite characters! A quick read, perfect when something on the lighter side of historical romance is wanted!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Scarlett Scott!

Crocheting...not knitting :)

I ADORED Dangerous Duke!! Once I started, I could not put it down. Our main characters, Griffin (Strathmore) & Violet are adorable, hilarious, but also complex. From start to finish, we see the layers slowly peeling away...and these two characters find not only themselves, but each other as they work to prove Griffin's innocence in the crimes of which he's accused.

Violet lived a careful/cautious life of deliberate choices & wanting to please others, caused mostly by some emotional fears. I loved the thoughts & feelings of "Wicked Violet"! With Griffin at her side, Violet's fears slowly dissipate, but is it enough to overcome the fears caused from the past?

Griffin is also scarred. Though he appears to be carefree & confident (and hilarious!), we see this is a facade. There are so many layers to Griffin. At the core, he lacks confidence in himself though he tries not to show it. He also fears losing his heart to this amazing woman - "He had to remain immovable." But when both characters are able to let their guards down, can healing begin & love take root? And can they heal each other enough to fully acknowledge that love?

This book had me laughing - the seed pouch, crocheting vs knitting, Griffin's new favorite color, and oh poor Lord Flowerpot! Now there's someone who is in desperate need of an awakening & a wicked side!
This book had me crying- such beautiful & sweet moments between these two characters!
And...this book had me fanning myself...WOWZERS! :)))

Yet another fantastic book by Scarlett Scott!! I love reading her books and am never disappointed!

I received a free advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Mystery and romance collide in one story

Scott does not disappoint in Book 3 of undercover justice league members fighting for the crown while romantic distractions are under foot. Smart women balance this series against the men who can’t resist them or accomplish their goals without them.

This mystery places the heroine between her brother, the romantic duke and a boring marriage match. Not everyone is as they seem and the pages will flip faster than you intend. Quick beach read or must finish before bed book, be careful to leave enough time - you won’t want to stop.
