Lori is attempting to finish her last year in high school in a town that's anything but welcoming. But high school problems seem insignificant when compared with dealing with shady lamia, a stalker ex-pack master, and fitting in with her new pack. It seems like fate must have a grudge against the Hollow Crest wolves because their lives are about to get much more difficult.
Everyone has dark moments in their life that we sometimes wish we could erase or forget. But sometimes it's the pain and struggle that we have gone through that gave us our inner strength.
For me, writing started as a way to confront some of the demons of my past so that I could put them behind me forever. Most of my characters have a dark or troubled past and my books follow their progress as they emerge from the darkness that has held them down for so long.
As the darkness fades, hope for a better future starts to emerge (like the sun after a storm). A piece of my soul goes into each one of my books, and my hope and faith in a brighter tomorrow is reflected in each one of my characters.
Books have always been a source of escape and enjoyment for me, so I hope that my work can help others in the same way:-)

Uhhh. No idea how to review. I will just put note to myself for future- you read it, you found it severely lacking and infantile and thats why you deleted it from your library. We will not remember this book in a day or two and it is not worth to consider rereading it ever.
I gave this book three stars, the same rating that I gave the first book. I am very unsure of my opinion with these books. I really dislike the shortness of them (which I guess could be seen as a good sign in one way), since it feels like I don't get enough story. It's however a balance between the good parts and the bad parts. As much as I disliked the issues they were having, I couldn't deny the possible reality of them (if you ignore the paranormal parts). It shows how easy it is to end up in a bad circle and habit, without knowing how deep it goes when you first get into it.
This book have gotten more understandable relationships, but it's also about getting used to it moving a bit differently since it's after all supposed to be more about paranormal and mysteries. I would have wished that there was more book (pages) so that I didn't feel as underwhelmed with the story. Though I liked it, I probably won't continue to read more of the books. It moves too slow, and gives me too little time to get into it with the short books.
I am loving this series. I love watching Lori grow into a more confident, self-assured, and protective woman. I, also, enjoy the fact that she is not all powerful and we see her weaknesses, but like so many others she keeps getting back up, dusting herself off, and ready to fight again. Like, Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel she doesn't get back up because it is the right thing to do. She does it as a screw you. She does it to protect herself and others. She does it because she is tired of feeling downtrodden. There were several times where I was so freaking proud of her and cheered her on as she kept getting back up, and every time she was more angry than the last, and every time she more done with everyone's BS. She wasn't stronger physically because she is not a strong wolf, and that won't change, but her strength of character, confidence, and so much more showed. Also, I really want her to meet Anna, so I am hoping that the two packs meet honestly.
The struggle is a fast paced second installment of the Hollow Crest Wolf Pack, that left me needing book three now! Lori is starting high school, and yes that usually means problems with mean girls. But how Lori handles that and the other things that she has to deal with, leave me just loving her more. She really is a strong female lead that partly makes this series so good. She is so likable. Lori and her guys are moving along slowly, but moving along. She is settling in good with them. I like their dynamic together and the pace of their relationship. If you love shifters and a good paranormal romance, definitely check out this series.
I first want to say that no matter what book you read from Becca, you will not be disappointed. It’s so friggen good and this book is no exception. I liked the series from the beginning and to be able to continue on with book two being just as good is awesome. In this book, I liked that the burn is a good pace. I feeL like nothing is rushed or too slow and I enjoy getting to know the characters. Of course Kannon is my favorite because he’s down to earth and it’s kind of like a love at first sight with them. I cannot Wait for the next one!
The Struggle: Hollow Crest Wolf Pack Book 2 by C.C. Masters is a wonderful story to read. The story just keeps getting more interesting. Lori is working out how she fits into her new pack while also trying to fly under the radar at high school. We learn more about the guys, especially Corey. There never really was a dull moment in this book. I look forward to book 3.
I love this series. In typical C.C. Masters fashion a story came to life. The characters are full of life and I found it hard to put this bool down. There are so many emotions that it overflows throughout and the group dynamics just keep building.
Another great book from c.c masters... easy to read with great storylines and characters. It really pulls you in and wanting more. The writing style is fab which sucks you in and feel like you are with them

I love this story because it shows anyone can rise up n fight their demons . Lori stood straight n chin up no one was going to make her feel fear. She found her voice. This book will make you want book 3.
I loved 💗 this second book 📖 following Lori and her gorgeous pack 🐺 as they try to build a life for themselves in the nosey town Hollow crest 😮 enemies beware because your gonna get got 🤣🤪
Lori is finding her place in her pack, the guys are trying to protect her, and enemies all around them! They are truly struggling and I hoping that they find a way out before they all get caught in a web they can't escape from.
Absolutely loved the 2nd book in this series the cliff hanger always gets me but I can't wait to see how the gang get out of this and get rid of the witches once and for all they deserve a happy ending.
Very good as well. Since this is a RH, I would think the author would have maybe two sex scenes with the men she was going to be with, but nope, only one.
Read on KU. Love this author, love this series! Great second book in the series continuing the storyline from the last book. Some plotline gets tidied up while some gets get wide open enticing is readers to want more. Love how the characters and their relationships are growing. Can't wait to read on!
Good follow up from the first book. I have really enjoyed becoming attached to all the characters and I'm so interested to know what's going to come next for the pack.
As always C.C Masters writes a book that keeps you on your toes and wondering who will Lori end up with or will it be all 4. The book was amazing. Cant wait for the next one!
