I knew it i freaking knew it I had a hypothesis the wanderer was Tobias and another that the water where she tried to save jase is another stone cause she saw something shining I can't wait to continue.
Olivia is captured by tianna the evil witch who wants all 5 stars for there powers, olivia is the girl who can find the stars and save the dragons kingdoms oh yh she has also fallen on love with the dragon kings. She gets more than she bargained for in her next fight wiv tianna and it could just be what olivia needs to beat the witch. Awesome acgion packed series
It was great to get back into this world again as it really does seem quite cool and the way it left off was cool too!
Olivia does seem to be growing as a character in some ways but I did find her a little bit more whiny in this one compared to the others, I just feel like there is so much more to her character and what she can actually do that we don't fully get that now.
I did like seeing more of the boys and getting to see more Zade was good too. I do still feel like some of the guys are better developed them him, even Issik who really doesn't say all that much.
I like the premise and is one of the reasons I will always keep reading but I found this one just a little bit less enjoyable, it had some great twists and some better action especially getting to know more about our evil witch but just think I'm expecting a bit too much.
Olivia has been kidnapped by the big bad witch, the all-powerful, beautiful, cruel Tianna. Time is running out for her dragons. She can't just wait, hoping for them to save her but Tiana's magic is too strong for Olivia to fight. With the help of the women in white and an unexpected ally, Olivia finds her way back to her dragons in the Crimson Keep and begins the search for the Star of Fire. But Tianna also wants the star and will stop at nothing to possess it. However, if she does get the stars, it could mean the end of many worlds.
Finally! It was nice to see Olivia's dragons show and say just how much she means to them as Olivia, not as their savior. I feel like I waited a long time but they are clearly all in now. And I have to say fire and ice make for a dream come true! This was a very entertaining book. It's just a fun adventure with some sexy dragons and a nasty witch thrown in. I loved the revelations. One I didn't suspect, the other I did but I still have so many questions. Thawing Frost cannot be written fast enough for me. I am anticipating the final book so much; I can't wait for the answers and to see how it all plays out. I have an idea about Tianna's fate. Can't wait to see if I am right.
This book was a bit on the darker side with Olivia’s capture and the subsequent fall out. Everyone wants to find the fire star yesterday and Tianna seems to grow more powerful. A mysterious wanderer helps Olivia seemingly out of nowhere, but nothing is what it seems. Good book!
Olivia has been captured by a griffin and delivered to Tianna. Jase, Kieran, Zade and Issik are searching for her, but there is no trace. She was seeking the Star of Tranquility when captured and whisked off to the forbidden land. She has no idea how long she is there. Tianna lets her look in the Pool of Mirrors so she can see the descendants. Tianna wants the star and will bargain for its possession. Olivia finally agrees to a bargain. Someone called the Traveler pays a goblin to rescue her and she is sent to the edge of the Crimson Kingdom. Things are not as they seem. But she is saved, only to find that one dragon has been captured by the witch. How can she save him? She has lusted after all four descendants with little control. Its an interesting story, but the lust is a bit much. Dragons are not really my thing, but the underlying story is good. Read on my friends.
A reverse harem (not my usual thing) with a great cast of characters and a plot story that delights the mind. This third edition to the Dragon Descendants by J.L. Weil is not one to put down! We start with our main character in a predicament with one quite interesting witch.... Can our heroine save herself and her dragons? You won't want to put it down until you find out and wait for it...... wait on the edge of your seat for the next release!
Taming Fire is the 3rd book of the series. While I have absolutely adore this series from the start, each book since has been better then the last. Everything about this story grips you; from Olivia's growth into an epic heroine, the dynamic between the group, the unfolding story and ofcourse the wicked witch of the West. Definitely a must read that Will sweep you away.
The third in this RH series that gives us more heat than ever. The story picks up just after the second book ended. There is more darkness and a whole lot more romance.
I really enjoyed the story and the way the author made the RH feel not so pushed upon you. The story is great I just wish I could finish the last one so I knew what would happen.
I voluntarily read an advance reader's copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. A new to the series reader needs to start with book 1, or will be lost. This is a great series for dragon lovers. This book starts off a bit slow, it was actually kinda hard for me to get into this book at first do to the nature of the first part (captive of the witch) since I'm not a fan of reading that sort of thing. But once Olivia's reunited with her dragons, the story does a total turn around. There are some things that I saw coming, and some things I didn't see coming, some things I was yelling at my Kindle because I felt that they were obviously being overlooked, some things that I was confused about & wanted more answers to (too bad I can't say anything on this stuff without spoiling it for other readers). I appreciate that Olivia has matured a bit more in this book than in the book 2. I totally love the dragons, I think they make this series! And the cliff-hanger ending, this will kill me to wait for the next book though!
Omg Major plot twists, sexy dragons, an evil Witch, and of course Olivia who is trying to break the curse! This book has it all! Total WTF and LOL moments right.from the.start! The story is amazing and sucks you into the world J.L. Weil created! What can I say the Dragons are sexy as hell, the turns you don't see coming and the evilness of the.witch is dastardly! A total wild ride! Make sure you pick this up!
I love this series. I've been waiting impatiently for this one and it didn't disappoint. There was danger, darkness, and more than a little desire. This one ends on a great cliffy. I cant wait to see what happens in book 4
This was the hottest book in the series yet, but what else would expect being in Zade's fiery kingdom? 🔥🔥🔥 And that end revelation was a jaw dropper to be sure. I cannot wait for the final book in my favorite dragon's icy kingdom.. ❄🐉❄🐉❄🐉 #teamIssik
This was an interesting third book in the Dragon Descendants series. Things start off rough for Olivia when she finds herself in the hands of Tianna, who is set on getting the rest of the stones. This book has twists and turns that I did not see coming, and a few steamy scenes thrown in to make the story more interesting. The thing that really grabbed me though was the continuation of the growth with Olivia and the guys. They are more determined than ever to keep her safe and finally admit how they feel about her and she about them. I did not see the ending coming and I am excited to see where the next book takes me.
I can’t wait for the final book to see what happens next. The suspense will be worth it. Thank you JL Weil for your wonderful books. I love how you draw me in to where I have to finish the book to find out what’s going to happen next.
I haven’t been so engrossed in a series in so long! Literally everything got out on the back burner today just so I could read this book. And oh my gah!!!! J.L. Weil never disappoints! That ending!
I love this series. The characters are fantastic and it has an amazing plot. This book seemed a lot slower than the others though. I can't wait for the conclusion.
*spoilers ahead! * This time round we get to see far more scenes with Tianna. It had amazing twists and turns, lots of scenes with Issik and Zade and best of all a MASSIVE PLOT TWIST AT THE END!
Annnnnnnddddd thus the book begins with me confused with the timeline. I thought we were happily in on the 4 of our 6 month countdown, but I guess we were in Month 3 and quickly running out of time?! 🐉 Olivia found piece #2 for their witch's demise and were on their way to find #3 when the Wicked Witch kidnaps Olivia. I’ll start out by saying, I think I am jaded...Ive said this before. When think dark torture, I think darrrrkkkkk torture. I kinda feel like the kidnapping, mental torture, was just eh. The cutting torture, It was just starting to get there for me. Olivia was gone for over a week and a half. Timeline issues again/confusion again. 🐉 She escapes with some help and is again anticlimactically saved from a pack of wolves.... 🐉 That night she has some funsies with Red hot and Frosty. The night after her escape she get some vita d...... But guess what?!!!!!!!! SHE SUDDENLY was a virgin with Poison Boy, and how she can’t believe her ‘second’ time is a 3sies. 🐉 Honestly, at this point, I don’t understand the relationship between these men. She sleeps with Poison, and for a month, she shares the bed with all the men, and doesn’t sleep with anyone again? Not even Poison?! She sleeps with Red and Frosty and then doesn’t sleep with anyone else again?! She admitted she loved the guys but there isn’t much in that way. It was kinda a weird way of saying I love you too....at least for Sleepy, Red Hot, and Frosty. You don’t have to have funsies to show love, but there are not a lot of sweet nothings being passed around. 🐉 Thus far there have been highs and lows in each book. Enough drama to keep me interested. Enough love to keep me invested. 🐉 I am still on the fence on if I am going to continue reading. I feel like I need to know what happens next, but yet I am not too upset if I never do. Buuuuuutttt it is Frosty’s world next and you already know how I feel about him.😏😏😏😉 🐉
I received a complimentary copy of this book and volunteered to review it.
Previously: Olivia the MC has been kidnapped by Tiana the witch and is trying to stay alive while being tortured.
We learn of a character named Tobias who has enough intrigue to keep me interested but it’s subtly put to not tear me away from the rest of the story.
Olivia also meets some lost family of the dragons who guide her in unusual ways.
The entrance of a character called the wanderer brings a lot of mystery because they know things and react to things far more personally than they should. This wanderer is eventually revealed to be someone of interest to not only Olivia but also the dragons guys. Knowing their identity tells us somethings about them learned in the book from other characters, but most of their backstory and the reason for their current state is unknown. I’m looking forward to learning more about this character.
This book features a lot more sexy time than the previous ones, because the four dragons and Olivia are learning what is to love each other (it is a reverse harem).
Getting the fire star becomes very problematic, and things don’t go as planned. Olivia makes a difficult choice but it pays off and she learns a great deal.
This is where she really shows her ability to live on her own and survive without depending on her dragons physical strength.
What I like through this series is that Olivia managed to keep her wit and humour despite her struggles.
Man, JL Weil has done it again. I thoroughly enjoyed this book but I did find it harder to read in some scenes than the previous books as Tianna is hitting them where it hurts and is upping her game to try and get the remaining Stars, first by taking Olivia and basically t*rturing her then when she had assistance to escape Tianna’s clutches and delivered safety back to the edge of Zade’s Crimson Kingdom and therefore back in the safe hands of her Dragons, Olivia knew she had to find the Star of Fire somewhere hidden in Crimson before Tianna can get her hands on it, Tianna attacks Jase’s Kingdom Wakeland and k*lls a lot of Jase’s people and froze the Keep with everyone inside and won’t unfreeze it until she gets the Star. Olivia has some outside help from her Dragons’ mothers spirits giving her guidance on how to find get the Star from the the Volcano. I love the connection between Olivia and her Dragons’ grow and can’t wait to see what the ramifications are for Tianna having the Star or if there will actually be any since Olivia already absorbed it’s power and I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens on their quest to obtain the final Star before Tianna and I really wasn’t expecting the plot twist at the end of the book so it should definitely be an interesting read. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
This is the third book in the dragon descendants series and once again im in love! Thank you so much for your wonderful books! These books have taken over my life. I have just added you to one of my favorite authors list. I love how Olivia is absorbing these new powers and learning nee things about herself and my favorite (All of the dragons)! The cliffhanger in this book has me jumping into the last one and I cant wait!
Another amazing addition to the series. Catch up with Olivia and her dragons on her quest to find the fire star. So much packed into this book makes it an absolute gem. The witch gets stronger every day. The dragons get weaker. Olivia is stuck. She needs help. The darkness. The nightmares are all starting to take their toll on her. A big finale as usual. A real page Turner. Loved loved loved it
Olivia has been captured by the griffins and taken to one of their nests. After days of torture by Tianna, she’s finally rescued and taken to Crimson, Zade the dragon of Fire’s castle. But they’ve lost crucial time to find the last 2 stars.
It’s really cool where and how they get the fire star and who helps Olivia.
Fave scenes: talking to the water lady in the pool, Asena taking care of Olivia and the fire star releasing its power.
Again....why do I keep reading the next book expecting it to get better? 😂 One more to go....I've invested this much, I might as well see how they defeat Tianna.
The storyline itself has so much promise. Each book just needs several hundred more pages to flesh things out a bit better. And all of the characters have the same "voice" they speak in, making them fairly indistinguishable from one another. And that voice sounds very immature. 🤷♀️
