Leer este manga es lo peor que se me pudo haber ocurrido jamás. Por lo que más quieran nunca se lo lean, enserio se los digo, aunque creas que podés tolerar el gore, mejor no te la juegues

This infamous piece of internet culture still holds up 10 years after i read it. It is funny, and every time you think that nothing can go farther, things get even crazier. Anybody who likes to be deeply grossed-out without all the "gritty" trappings of today's horror will have a hoot.

One of my favorites but it's honestly vile and disgusting and not for kids, or literally anyone. Would not recommend to anyone who is sensitive

This thing is the reason why people look at you weird when you defend ero-guro, which was a very big movement on Japan blurring the lines between eroticism and the grotesque, it's off putting but alot of the works from the ero-guro movement genuinely pack a punch and have an actual point to it, and the movement goes as far back as the 1940's (edogawa ranpo being one of the grandfathers of the genre but there's an argument for some gothic literature), ero guro doesn't come from a place of horny sadism, it comes from a place of protest and anger, I genuinely recommend learning about the movement because it's really interesting.

With all that said, this is my opinion is way beyond ero-guro, that's because there isn't much of anything other than the most scatological gore and sexual abuse imaginable, I can't really defend it because I don't like looking at it, there's no aesthetic appeal to it because it feels like this is the work of an artist who likes to look at gore for sexual pleasure, it's weird porn and I don't watch weird porn, infact I steer away from weird porn. Thus in my eyes this isn't ero-guro, this hen-guro (as in hentai gore), and I feel the need to separate these two.

And thats because alot of those ero-guro artists are basically gods at drawing, look at suehiro maruo's hyper detailed beautiful work, look at shintaro kago's absurdist body horror, ero-guro isn't "gore porn", it's a genuine form of art that can be done tastefully and distastefully, it can be exploitative or not exploitative, it's like the actual separation between porn and erotica, porn is sleazy and meant to be disposable, porn is there for you to masturbate than move on, while erotica is an outlet for sexuality and the exploration of it, it turns the human gaze of the body into art, yeah you can jerk of to it and move on but usually there's more to it than just sex.

There weird erotica and there's weird porn out there, there's shit like story of the eye and then scat porn out there, and as we all know there are many fetishes out there and gore and extreme sadism is one of them, you can't really make gory porn with real people because obviously someone would have to be killed for that to exist... well it does exist actually but those are snuff films and serial killer tapes, so since there isn't a sexual outlet for those folk to stimulate themselves, here is hen-guro, it's hentai but with horrible violence. Now I can't say if this is a safe outlet for those people because I'm not one of them, I'm not a professional on the effects of fringe pornography on its consumers. Will the folk that consume this go on to do horrible things? Or do they just jerk off and move on with their life? I don't know nor do I have the data on it and I believe this should be studied, maybe hen-guro has a point to exist if it deflates people with violent desires, maybe it's a good outlet for their perversion, but as i said I can't tell shit from fuck.

So, yeah may-chan's daily life is gore porn, it's the two girls one cup of hentai manga. there's this aura of sadism reeking from this, like the author is actually horny with what he's drawing, there's not much depth or visual experimentation, the drawings aren't pretty at all, infact they are ugly as sin. This is mainly why I don't like to associate this manga and the works of this author with ero-guro, because much of the social satire and transgressive art from that movement is lost on this stuff, because it goes past art and into smut.

Basically what I'm saying is this is closer to Marquis De Sade than Georges Bataille, as in you're supposed to jerk off to this, and hey no kink shame as long as you're not going to comit murder, necrophilia and other form of philia that isn't consensual.

So yeah don't read this, if you want shock with a point read something from Suehiro Maruo.

I honestly liked the premise and story that is told here. The idea of immortality treated so rancid and carelessly when one normally treats it as the be all end all of existence.
That being said, this book is vile. I read it laregly to say that I did. I'm not easily grossed out. But Donald Trump blendering an infant is kinda where I draw the line I guess.

I don't recommend this book, even if you don't get scared of gore or anything in that direction. it just sucks. it is just a very weird book. how could anybody come up with this????? please don't read. just leave it to curiosity. I regret reading this so badly. it is the worst. I'm sick to my stomach and I'm not even sensitive to gore, I hate thissssssssssss. I can't believe people are saying this is their favorite book,??????? bffr skip this and read Junji Ito or something much lighter but still dark/ gory enough. 1 star because I did like the personality of mai-chan.
