Rate this book
Skip a Imparting Wisdom for Young Entrepreneur Minds is for any innovative young mind, as early as 5th grade to teenagers, young and curious people who want to learn more! You can go, do and be anything you want! This book contains true stories on what makes a meaningful, happy and purpose filled life , not just a successful one. This book is also on Audible ! Skip a Step is not another get rich quick guide from business moguls who amassed a fortune. Skip a Step is meant for a new generation, kidpreneur , or adult of any age, who do not just want to get rich, but wish instead to find meaning, happiness and purpose in life. Each chapter contains a story by an entrepreneur or leader making a difference in the world and divulging the wisdom they received from slaying the dragons in their own lives to achieve success. It is not just about wealth or success that we want you, the reader, to walk away learning, but rather the struggle , triumphs and challenges faced and felt that have impacted the lives of the people we interviewed in Skip a Step. So many young people are programmed from an early age to go to school, get good grades, attend college, and then hope for a good-paying job. This used to be the safe approach to obtaining a successful life. But every once in awhile, a maverick as you will read in Skip a Step, comes along and bucks the trend. This person doesn't play it safe. Instead, they take risks. They put their heart and soul into building a company that has never existed before, offering a crucial product or service that no one else is providing. By doing something so disruptive and wholly original, they attain success on their terms. As a culture we celebrate these gutsy individualists as entrepreneurs. Our goal is for each reader to learn that a successful life is a meaningful life and that each of us has something special to contribute if we face our challenges with courage, love and passion. 13 Entrepreneurs true stories This is a great gift for high school students or for college students or young innovative minds of all ages! ‘Face challenges with courage, love and passion’

Southern California author Lisa Caprelli is one extraordinary woman who has helped businesses grow for over 25 years across a spectrum of industries. Having published guide books for helping other authors succeed, Lisa, with illustrator Davey Villalobos, opened a new door with the creation of UNICORN JAZZ – a richly impressive series for children starring Jazz, a beautiful unicorn and her friends – especially Bee happy and Woof the Crow - with stories that are tender, sweet, and very supportive of those aspects that help children appreciate their unique selves.

In this exceptionally fine book Lisa share her well considered insights and talent for writing along with Chapman University screenwriting professor and reporter Michael Ashley: the two make an impressive team. Together they offer the secrets of eleven successful entrepreneurs whose messages share a common thread – ‘doing something so disruptive and wholly original to attain success on their terms.’

Geared toward ages 9 to 18 - i.e. “any innovative young mind as early as 5th grade to teenagers’ – and in keeping with the concept of taking challenges to the schools to stimulate young minds to become great, this book is a standard bearer for enlightened contemporary education. Including photographs of the inspiring interviewees makes the mission more immediate and credible for youngsters.

The authors close with s series of fine thoughts, such as, ‘Believe in yourself. What you want is right before you. Go do it! Build a tribe or community, and make a difference in this one lifetime of yours. Make it big. Do it well, regardless of the deeds or cost it takes. You will be a better human being for developing your own unique talents and skills.’

Bravo to Lisa and Michael – you offer hope! Recommended.
