So I Let It Be by Sindhu Rajasekaran is a story of Khayal, Mehr, Suggi and Kalki. It’s about their journey of love, loss and more. Witness these beautiful stories by Sindhu.

These are the Short stories that revolve around the lives of Khayal, Mehr, Suggi and Kalki. I loved how the stories started. One can relate to the book from the very first page. The plot of each story is different and amazingly full of twists.

The stories revolve around themes like love, loss, friendship, suspense. The events sequenced by the author are simply outstanding. Out of all the stories, Khayal’s story is my favourite. The narration of the stories is crisp and relatable.

The language used by the author is simple and relatable. The writing style of the author is Lucid and gripping. One can relate to everything from this book. The way the author portrayed stories is strong and commendable. The way the characters are developed is just amazing.

It’s a bit heavy read and a slow-paced book with lots of emotions. The strong characters have a vital impact on the reader. Each story has its own depth keeping the reader hooked throughout. The suspense elements that are wonderful.

The cover of the book could have been much better. The Summary of the book is impressive.

Overall, It’s a good book full of mystery, suspense and Love.

A work of depth and originality lingers in your thought forever. ‘So I let it be’ is one such collection of short stories. There are 12 shot stories all of them had some abstractness. As the stories unfold you would never be able to predict where it leads to. 12 stories have 12 female protagonists from different societies and right from the first page you get into their inter personal conflicts. I found all the characters so deep and I wonder how the author managed to resist her temptations on writing further about them.

I wanted to know more about what happened to Damini, I want her to meet the married Kayal and know how she might react. I want to know how the society treats Damini after such an incident. For a moment I thought how will Mehr react if Cedric flew from France to meet her. I would love to see Yuka take Lucy to Japan for a holiday and see what unfolds before them. Apart from these characters, their internal and personal conflicts I loved the very unconventional way the author has conceived the narratives.

Before reading the book I had my own fears and reservations about what the book might be talking about. Cos every direction you turn there will one pseudo feminist - wanna be - writer, who in name of writing empowering women characters will bark on how all men are cruel and sex monsters. But I was super happy when I was completing this book. There is no fake Feminist Propaganda. Till the last short story it was only about strong women and how they are flawed, powerful, sexual, doubtful, weak, confused and yet they grow. They all keep moving forward. To me this was fantastic writing. An Author who presents you stories that handles politics, communal riots, sex, homosexuality, infidelity, revolution and more and yet doesn’t propagate. That’s the author the country needs now. As a reader you have all your freedom to take your own stand on what you read and consume.

So I Let It Be by Sindhu Rajasekaran
My first impressions were swept under the carpet once I started reading the book. Honestly, I couldn’t find any connection between the cover and the title of the book, and I started the book with no preconceived notion.
The book is a collection of 12 short stories revolving around female lead characters. The stories leave the readers a little edgy with the anticipation of knowing what happens next. The abstractness with which each story is written unleashes the creative bug in the reader who is left craving for more. That’s my favorite type of storyline – as a reader it gives me a safe space to think about what could’ve happened had the story not ended and a small part of me feels connected to the book. So I Let It Be does exactly that.
I love the depth with which the characters are defined and introduced at the right moment in each story. Be it the two lovers Damini and Kayal or Mehr the women who longs for her love or the ambitious Kaliki, each female character is given a personality of their own. The narrative is poignant and thought provoking. Gear up for a stimulating yet heartrending ride. There are no lose ends in the stories, the characters are realistic and not visceral and they cover a spectrum of topical issues – homosexuality, infidelity, politics etc. The entire idea of having such strong yet flawed characters hits the home run for me. The stories deal with delicate yet powerful emotions and I recommend it to anyone looking for an invigorating read.

✔ love, hate, affair, politics social brutality, homo sexuality, took a important and deep part of this book. This book doesnt contain fake feminism whatever Is bloomed by words that are realistic and justified clearly. So be brave and honest to concede them.

✔ simple, easy and lucid sentences are engaged. some unknown words were interrupted my reading speed. But they are really helpful for judging my vocabulary progress. Medium to fast Reading book indeed. After finishing this book , I was contemplating that how difficult some women's life can be! Stories are emotional but will teach you how to be bold!

✔ Cover is meaningful and eye-catching as stories are the zest of women's life. Even title "SO I LET IT BE" is blended smoothly with the plot. I am really awestrucked by author's power of thinking and how perfectly she explained it with her words. You are really successful for what messages you wanted to convey through your writing.

Title : So I Let It Be
Author : Sindhu Rajasekaran

If a book offers you with mixture of love, loss, friendship and add on to that suspense will you be interested in such a book? In my case, I would love to read such a book. A beautiful collection of 12 short stories and it revolves around the lives of Khayal, Mehr, Suggi and Kalki and some more. I mainly like Khayal's story. There isn't any specific reason for that. I felt it's lovely.

The plot of each story is unique that's 12 stories and 12 different characters. Whether it's Kayal or Yuka or Lucy, frankly speaking I love all the characters in the book.

At times I feel I am completely a feminist. I love those books that concentrate on women. And this is one among that where female characters are on lead. I love the way Author started and end the story that provoke readers to move forward to know what happens next.

This is my first book of Sindhu Rajasekaran. I loved her way of writing, it's simple, lucid and fast moving. Amazing way of introducing characters. Should focus on the point that the cover page is eye-catchy.

The characters are realistic and are described very well. In my opinion character depth is the most important thing a story can have and it is achieved only if its written in a right way, and in this book it is weaved perfectly. The writing style is very unique and interesting. If you would like to read something to freshen up your mind then definitely pick this book for reading.⁣⁣

'So I let it be' - when I first saw the title and the cover, I was intrigued. What would be the underlying theme of the book - Love? Loss? Grief? Indifference?
When I started reading the book, man! I was lost in the world of the characters. Every story (there are 12 stories) stirs your heart and body in a way which is unexplainable, you'd need to read it and experience it.
Thank you Sindhu for taking us through the emotions of love, loss, longingness, friendship and many more emotions, which is unique to each person's perspective :).

It is a good book to carry on a vacation and makes a perfect before bed read. Since the book is about short stories, I was able to finish one story in one sitting without having to worry about ‘what happens next’. Stories are completely independent of each other but still connected. If you are planning to read short stories, then you can read this one.
