Kevin Bennet is ashamed of his submissive desires. He's a manly man, who drinks beer and plays sports and lies to all his college friends about what he to be dominated, beaten and humiliated by a powerful woman. He worries he'll never find one, but a turn of events has him living off campus with a sexy and domineering older woman. He loves her strict rules and stern lectures. When he forgets to mow the lawn, she brings down the "“I told you that if you acted like a child you’d be punished like a child. I see that wasn’t enough to get you to behave. So now you get punished.” Kevin learns the ways of submission, but will he ever accept himself? Will his landlady love him back, or is he just a sub to her? And how can he keep his submission secret from his friend Cindy? Contains spanking, strapon, foot worship, body worship, slave training, spitting, caning, corporal punishment, ass worship, tease and denial, orgasm denial, chastity, and role play.
Kevin Bennet is a college student who fantasizes about submitting to a dominant woman. This story is from his perspective. As an underclassman, preparing to declare a major, he impresses his social psych professor so much that she assigns him to a project with Cindy Witner, a bossy coed that consistently rubs him the wrong way.
They struggle with each other on the assignment and Cindy winds up his only friend on campus, even though he dislikes her attitude. Faced with a housing crisis, Cindy refers him to Jane, an older woman who is looking for a renter, but does not prefer men.
Jane becomes the object of Kevin’s secret fetishes until he commits an infraction and she punished him. Discovering his fantasies, Jane takes him in hand to train him for a submissive role.
But Kevin’s desire to submit does not equate with the older woman’s needs. He may fall in an unrequited state.
This is an excellent book that takes the reader through many of the pitfalls and mistakes that may occur in a D/s relationship where this relationship is being learned.
It feels normal, i.e. none of the events are out of proportion. The characters are believable. The setting is easy to imagine. The scenes and events and dialogue, it's all well-written and fits perfectly.
And there's an actual story! It's not just horny guy submitting to sexy woman who kicks his ass - the end! There's some actual story going on! And I kind of wished there were more pages, because the characters were interesting and the journey from beginning to end was an all-around pleasent read. And delightfully erotic too.
And it has all the elements that go with the territory. Spanking, caning, tease and denial, chastity, cross-dressing, humiliation, domestic chores, and so on.
One of the best erotic stories I’ve read in a long time.
I didn’t expect to get so wrapped up in these characters. But after I got past the first chapter and found the relationships and character development enveloped me. I found myself fully emotionally invested in these characters lives and I actually Stayed up far too late because I couldn’t stop reading. I actually wept a couple of times. And that rarely happens when I’m reading a book. And I recommend this story for anyone looking for a fulfilling, emotional and beautiful friendship that felt genuine with all the complexities real relationships have. I loved it and I’m looking forward to reading more of the authors works.
Such an ordeal finding love and understanding in a d/s relationship. Sometimes a lifetime? Having Jane as a guiding light was a lovely touch and helped me relish some of the subtleties of servitude, the thought of blue balloons did tickle a fancy… thankyou T
The character development in this book is fantastic! You really get a sense of who these people are and why they act like they do. It's also really really funny, with some touching moments as well.
The writing is sharp and the characters are believable and it's really, really hot. Excellent book!
I appreciate the way the writing skips over unimportant details that would have affected the pacing of the story. It's very straightforward, which is both a strength and a weakness. While many non-crucial scenes were removed to keep the reader's attention, there could have been more time focusing on important scenes, such as the depictions of verbal abuse. The book falls back on the old and very tired trope of accusing a woman's menstruation for her "bitchiness," (the book's vocabulary could have been much improved)--to the point that periods are used as an excuse to justify some pretty heinous treatment toward the main character. And yet, instead of having the antagonizing character realize she needs to try to restrain herself and act like, you know, a mature adult, she simply excuses herself by telling the MC to "get over it because this is how she is." By the end of the book, I was sincerely hoping the MC would realize he deserves better and would find someone who recognizes BDSM as a scene and not a perpetual state of mind (in a relationship, it seems fair that *all* parties have a say in important decisions). The editing also needs quite a bit of work in the punctuation department, and I wish the sex scenes had expressed more emotion and built up any sort of tension, instead of merely jumping from one act to the next. To top it all off, the comparison of lesbianism to "sexlessness" at the beginning of the book just came off as homophobic (why bother mentioning queerness at all if it's obviously not going to occur in your story, especially if you're only mentioning it as a punchline?). Overall, it's not a terrible book, but the sex scenes need a careful, loving touch--and the language a severe crack of the whip.

This is my second book of Thimble and it was wonderful. I don't like to give away what's in the book but if you like femdom/sub stories this book is hard to put down! Saying that I know you'll love it.
This is a very Good story. I would have liked to read even more of the characters and even more in depth reflections on what they were thinking. None the less, writing and characterization is very good indeed!
A nice well told tale exploring dominance and submission. This is my third story through this author's works and I'm sure at some point, maybe this year, I will have read them all and all and be anxiously awaiting more.
