He started the war, but she’s going to end it.The Dark Mage thinks he’s defeated Riley. After poisoning her and leaving her to die, Rendal heads toward New Perth to claim his new kingdom.
Victory appears to be in his grasp.
But not if Riley has anything to do with it.
She knows to defeat him she has to finally master the magic within her. To free her kingdom, she must become the most powerful mage Australia has ever seen.
Cured of Rendal’s poison, Riley trains under the under woman who brought magic to her continent. The woman who learned from Ezekiel himself. The woman who taught Rendal.
And when she’s finished?
She’ll bring the war to New Perth’s gates and finish what Rendal started.
This is the final book in The Hand of Justice’s first arc. Grab it today for the epic conclusion!
Riley must recover and develop her magic to the point she can defeat The evil mage Rendal. Her doubts plague her. Can she do it and save the people she loves. She has important lessons to learn. I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to the next book.
The characters keep getting more depth to them. Hate to see this is the end of the story but there was a teaser of a 5th. I would like to see the series carry on, there is so many ways this could go. And there was an introduction of 3 more charters to developed.
What a belter of an ending for this first arc of this great Hand of Justice series!
All through this particular book, the suspense was killing me, as I read with bated breath, for Riley to learn to trust herself enough, so that she could end Rendal's reign of terror.
When the solution finally happened, I could have shouted out with glee!
This has been a great book, and a great series', and I'm very much looking forwards to seeing where Riley will take me, in the second arc of the series - especially with the ending of this book!
If you're not sure about reading this series, then either borrow the first book from either the library or, if you use kindle unlimited, get the series out to read - you won't regret it, & you'll probably end up buying the whole series, as I did! Lol
Now that I've finished this book, I've looked at my reading list, and my next read is book four of the Magic Below Paris series: Trading by Firelight.
This is yet another series within the Kurtherian Universe that I'm loving.
I'm being spoilt rotten with all the amazing authors who are co-writing with Michael Anderle, and I think a lot of their success, is in being an Indie Press, where they have so much more control over the books they publish - plus, they listen to us readers, which is a huge blessing!
Anyhoo, I'm off to read my next book, so I'll catch you on the flip side!
Riley and her friends have surrendered to Harold and are returning to New Perth at Rendal's command. there she must decide what will be the best for her people and the city; to fight or to give her oath of fealty to Rendal. of course, someone else already has her oath. now, she must decide just how strong she is
Magic Unchained is book 4 in the series and is probably my favorite. For the first time I see Riley using strategy to win. She’s grown up you might say. The story is very interesting and entertaining. It is very easy to imagine what it’s like and to see the characters interacting. Looking forward to book 5!!
OMG, this series has pulled so many emotions from me, love, anger, surprise, hate and excitement. All because of a nut job called Rendal, who thought he should rule and the heroine of the hour, Riley who struggled with defeat. Love, love, love this series. Bring on more….
There is so much about this story that is just wonderful. Riley being brought back to health. Her learning to believe in herself and her magic. William finally getting his courage. Love the glimpse of The next villian.
Finally Rendell is dead and New Perth is safe. Or is it? I thought Riley was done fighting but it looks like I was wrong. Who knows what is coming but with Jace and Michael in charge it's sure to be fun. Enjoy!
This series and book are definitely worth reading if you like fun characters, lots of action, and an interesting story. I recommend this book and series.
