Highly recommend reading in full before taking the 2-day course to sit for your certification. Give yourself about 2 weeks of consistent reading time, as it is dense.

I took notes while reading beforehand, and also during the lectures, as the Master Somms follow the book content closely and add additional detailed information. I learned so much, and am planning on reading again in pre-prep for Certified Sommelier Level 2. Practice questions and prompts mirror the exam content and are helpful when studying.
