I was pleasantly surprised by this book and I did get into fairly easily. The good storyline pulled me right in from the very beginning and the well rounded characters kept me totally enthralled until the turn of the very last page! This is my first story by Lane Hart and I can very easily say it won't be my last.

Well, Miles certainly took me by surprise! As the killer of the group, he’s got some baggage he’s been carrying around…at least when it comes to sharing his past with Kira. Despite his “job” he’s a bit naïve at times, a little clueless, but I actually liked him all the more for it. He also appeared lonely and my heart kinda hurt for him because he didn’t think he’d ever have what his brothers had found.
This couple have some communicating to do but then again, they didn’t even know each other when they got married. But once they begin to stumble through their first attempts to talk, things began to smooth out for them both.
Unfortunately, that’s when the real trouble starts.
I loved watching Miles fall in love, even though he didn’t have a clue that’s what he felt. He just wanted to make Kira smile and that made me like him all the more. Like the other Kings before him, his protective instincts rise up when needed and the little spin at the end regarding his killer status was a nice little addition to the story.
This has some MC action and we get to see the brothers as well as their wives which was nice. The steam level was high during the smexy times but this one isn’t filled with nothing but bedroom (or elsewhere) scenes. There is a great build to their relationship and I enjoyed watching them get to know each other and fall in love.

Lane has done it again.... we've been given a book that you just can't put down because the storyline is intriguing and captivating! Miles is the ex-marine bad boy that that wants a wife but feels he doesn't deserve love because of his darkness. Kira is the sweet young woman who wants nothing more than to help her parents out of bad situation they are in with the Russian Mafia. Kira's solution.... sell herself and marry whomever answers her ad. If you're looking for a read that will have you on the edge of your seat with suspense, laughing the next moment, hoping for love and an HEA then you MUST read this book!

This was the first book I've read by this author and what a dark, gritty and suspenseful read it was!
H/h, Miles and Kira were good together after all the miscommunications but this MC really knew how to protect their own! The character Ivan, I really would like to read his story along with the other men of the Savage King series!

Let's start off by saying that we really are enjoying this series and the character's in this series they are a whole lot of fun and we could not help but fall in love with each and everyone of them.
Miles is the total enigma and a super hot bad boy biker bada**.I loved him from the onset of the story as he really made me laugh time and time again because he didn't have a clue what to do with wife.Leave it to Miles to get a mail order bride. lol We loved seeing Mile's struggle with his emotions as they were all new to him as all he has known is dark thoughts yet, Kira is causing him to have a spring in his step an others are noticing.
Kira was just a sweetheart.She was brave and beautiful and strong and determined.Although she looks sweet and innocent she is anything but so it doesn't surprise me when she keeps her cool when things start to heat up and start to go wrong for her and Miles.I found Kira to be a bada** in the making.
Overall this was a really enjoyable story as it was packed with suspense,had a great cast of characters ,had a ton of heat and more than a few surprises and we loved it.I just love stories like this because I loved how all the MC members rallied together and worked with each other and allied a mafia kin pin to takeout a threat that had become a common enemy for the sake of a brother.Let's not forget the old ladies they are just a hoot and bada**es in their own right !

I adore these Savage Kings men & how they not just protect their 'Old Ladies' but be there every step of the way for their brothers & families.
Here Miles meets his soon to be wife in an unconventional way, but he does more for her family than he knew, but they don't quite settle into married life until things take a turn around & all the Brothers know about his secret & surprised marriage.
In this episode things for the MC's has been relatively easy going, though we do hear more about Miles' career in the Marines before he joined up with The Savage Kings.
Beautiful easy read 💞

Another great Savage Kings novel! I really felt like this one was too short! I would love to have been able to read more about Miles and Kira. They were a very odd and sweet couple. There have been a lot of couples in this series that were the most unlikely pair, but they are at the top of that list. I love how their story began. I love how Miles had one idea going in to it, but even at the beginning had started to changes his views on what he was getting into and what he wanted out of it. I just love them! Definitely worthy of being in the Savage Kings!

What starts off as more of a business deal turns into so much more when the mafia comes looking fo pay back. Will Miles and Kiera survive to get their HEA. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline kept getting better and better with each of the pages being turned.

This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.

Miles by Lane Hart and D.B. West a five-star read that you would go miles for. This is number eight in the Savage Kings MC series but they can be read as stand-alone as each one covers a different brother, they do pop up in each other’s story but they so encompassing that they will encapsulate your emotions as you read that the other brothers just fade into the background, like each brother holds his own individual church, they each speak with their own compelling voice. Miles has always been the quiet brooding dark soul that would stand in the corner observing, the one you would avoid if you were alone as he mad he heckles on the back of your neck raise, he makes your Goosebumps rise, at least that’s they way he is until you know him more. Kira brings out a different side of him, and I am so glad we got to see that side, his story is compelling and brings Ivan back into my life, so for that Miles will stay as one of my fave Kings. Thank you to the pair of you for bringing the Kings to life and giving us your great words.

Miles is convinced that he's worthless and evil, undeserving of affection or companionship. An ex-military sniper, Miles carries around a lot of baggage from the multitude of missions he's completed. The only thing he's ever been really good at is ending lives. An introverted loner, Miles can't communicate well with others. This only serves to reinforce his view of himself as not worth anyone's respect or affection - every time he tries to talk with his brothers, the words come out abrasive and wrong, usually leading to a fight. He scares most of the women he beds with his intensity and lack of ability to communicate with them beyond a physical relationship. As he sees his MC brothers pairing up and building families, he can't even articulate to himself how much he wants the same for himself - a loving and committed relationship. He wants someone to accept his dark half that will stay with him, so that he has a chance at a happier life.
Kira is willing to do anything to save her parents from the local mob bosses. Deeply in debt, the local crime lords have made it clear that her father will be beaten or killed unless he can pay his debts quickly. Kira decides to become a mail order bride having heard that she can make a lot of money quickly in order to save her dad.
When Miles agrees to the marriage contract, without even having met Kira, he hopes for nothing more than someone to share his home with for a year or two to help alleviate his intense loneliness. He is amazed and almost ecstatic when he first sees the lovely Kira. But when danger follows his bride home, he will have to unleash his dark side to save her as well as himself.
While Miles seems impulsive and crude in previous books in the Savage Kings series, I was happy to get to know his character a bit more in this installment. I actually liked Miles quite a bit more than I thought I would. He has such a low opinion of himself and his past deeds that he doesn't understand how anyone can accept him and what he has done. He is convinced that the only way he will gain the companionship he craves is by buying it. He actually is protective and devoted to the woman he has claimed. He will do anything to hold onto what he sees as his one chance for the life he wants. As he slowly puts aside his protective armor, he learns from Kira how to show a much more caring side of his personality to not only her, but also his MC brothers.
Lane Hart and DB West have a real knack for building characters that clearly are on the wrong side of the law that still remain likable. Miles, for all his apparent anger and bravado, becomes a much more layered and sympathetic character in this story.
An enthusiastic 5 stars for this MC romance.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the eighth book in the Savage Kings MC series. In this book, MIles is starting to feel lonely after most of his brothers in the MC have found love and are starting families. Miles is alone and he starts to want a woman of his own, but he doesn't think anyone could ever want to be with him because he is a killer. Miles was in the military and now serves as an enforcer in the MC. Miles grew up with a mother who was married 6 times and none of her husbands ever stayed, leaving Miles to think he could never be in love. When Miles was online looking for porn, he came across an ad for mail order brides and thought that could be the solution to his problem. Miles thought he could buy a wife that would have to stay with him. Kira is a young woman who lives with her parents who are Russian immigrants and have recently lost their business in a fire. Kira's father makes furniture and a Russian mob boss is getting a cut of his business and uses him for his warehouse. When the fire claimed whatever the mob was hiding, they demanded payment. Her father needed the money quickly and had no way to get it. Kira decided to sell herself as a mail order bride in order to pay her father's debt. Miles gave Kira the money and she agreed to marry him. When Miles met Kira, he thought she was beautiful and Kira was attracted to Mile, but a little scared of him. Miles wanted Kira to stay with him, but after their wedding night, Kira cried and hid from him telling him not to touch her again. They settled into routine and Miles wanted to be with Kira, but he respected her and wouldn't touch her. Kira began to think Miles was unhappy with her and wondered if he was going to send her away. When The Russian's want to know where her father got the money, they come to find Miles. Miles knows he has to protect his family and the MC. I love this series. I really loved Miles. I think he was a good guy who had to do horrible things in his life. He thought he was unworthy of love, but he really loved Kira and would do anything to protect her. Kira was so good for Miles and she loved him so much. I think they were amazing together and had great chemistry. Miles turned into a teddy bear and Kira knew he had a big heart. I can't wait to read the next book.

I will have to say: this book surprised the heck out of me. I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard about a "mail order bride" thing in the previous book for Miles. Well, this book ended up being quite awesome. The characters had a well-fleshed out relationship. We got to know both of them fairly well. The book had some action to it (well, not just THAT kind of action, but we had plenty of that as well). And the big part, which is why it got five stars, is that these authors FINALLY did a book that felt completely finished. I was expecting another shoe to drop, and I was pleasantly surprised. Like, woah. They did it. They really did it! Took like, eight books, but they did it! Hah.
Miles is a bit...much. He's intense: both in and out of the bedroom. And that is off-putting to women. It's to the point where he can't even get any club girls to screw anymore. He's lonely, and he want's what his married brothers have. However, he doesn't even know where to start. So, what's a guy to do? Find a mail-order bride, of course. He finds Kira, a first generation Russian American for a steal and puts in the order. He never realized that she's exactly what he ever wanted, but marriage is a lot of work. He had no idea what to do, and she's downright frightened of him. Plus, there's a secret she's hiding from him, and when he finds out, he's knee-deep in bodies.
Kira's family is in a lot of trouble. Her hard-working parents owe a lot of money to the Russian mafia after an accident destroyed their business--and with it the ability to move illegal goods. They need to come up with money...and fast. Kira decides the best way to do it is becoming a mail-order bride. She finds Miles, and bites the bullet. What she doesn't realize is how handsome he is. He's intimidating, though. But she literally comes apart in his arms on their wedding night--not something she was expecting. Still, her emotions get the best of her, and she and Miles end up living in this loveless, limbo relationship. However, when they warm up to each other, something explosive may just happen. It's too bad the Russian mafia wants to know where all that money came from that paid from her parents' debt.
Yes, it's a good story with interesting characters. I really liked both of them, and I enjoyed the contrast between the two. It made for a good dramatic push-pull that was some good reading. (Yes, it indeed was a quick read for me.) I was very pleased with this one. I know that the premise seems stupid, but it actually pans out rather well. And actually, it's really unique--especially for an MC romance. I have to give the authors credit on this one where credit is due. It definitely deserves all five stars.

Miles is a bit...much. He's intense: both in and out of the bedroom. And that is off-putting to women. It's to the point where he can't even get any club girls to screw anymore. He's lonely, and he want's what his married brothers have. However, he doesn't even know where to start. So, what's a guy to do? Find a mail-order bride, of course. He finds Kira, a first generation Russian American for a steal and puts in the order. He never realized that she's exactly what he ever wanted, but marriage is a lot of work. He had no idea what to do, and she's downright frightened of him. Plus, there's a secret she's hiding from him, and when he finds out, he's knee-deep in bodies.
Kira's family is in a lot of trouble. Her hard-working parents owe a lot of money to the Russian mafia after an accident destroyed their business--and with it the ability to move illegal goods. They need to come up with money...and fast. Kira decides the best way to do it is becoming a mail-order bride. She finds Miles, and bites the bullet. What she doesn't realize is how handsome he is. He's intimidating, though. But she literally comes apart in his arms on their wedding night--not something she was expecting. Still, her emotions get the best of her, and she and Miles end up living in this loveless, limbo relationship. However, when they warm up to each other, something explosive may just happen. It's too bad the Russian mafia wants to know where all that money came from that paid from her parents' debt.
Yes, it's a good story with interesting characters. I really liked both of them, and I enjoyed the contrast between the two. It made for a good dramatic push-pull that was some good reading. (Yes, it indeed was a quick read for me.) I was very pleased with this one. I know that the premise seems stupid, but it actually pans out rather well. And actually, it's really unique--especially for an MC romance. I have to give the authors credit on this one where credit is due. It definitely deserves all five stars.

If there are genres that I truly love is MC. I've read so much and I can't get enough. The more I read, the more I want. It's insane but who cares right?
D.B. West and Lane Hart have created this series and let me tell you that once you start it, you will get hooked... Just one chapter and your senses go overdrive...
Their writing is raw and intense, wild and passionate with a few hot scenes in between...
Miles is their latest release and it's the eight book from the Savage Kings MC. But I need to tell you something... Despite the fact that all books are standalones I tottaly advise you to read all books in order and then read this one. You'll love it.
This new book explores the lifes of Miles and Kira.
Miles is one of the brothers, a bit rough around the edges and a bit sarcastic as well. He lives and breathes his club and will do anything to protect them but he's fed up of being alone. There were a time that he had all the women he ever wanted but now things have changed. One night on the internet...
Kira had the perfect childhood, loving parents and a roof over her head but something wasn't right. She loved her parents, there's no doubt in there but after the visit of a mafia tug she has the confirmation for her suspicions. Now she is supposed to attend college but saving her parents is what needs to be done.
I'm so stunned right now... I'm speechless. I'm ecstatic. I'm amazed... Oh boy...
Superb plot, very well written, super engaging and intense. It had all the things that made this story perfect... Hey... It made this series even more perfect.
Love, loss, drama, past demons, brotherhood are super present in this book as well as some pretty hot scenes... Oh lord... Hot doesn't even cover it...
This story progressed smoothly but super intense. It was reading one chapter after the other. Non stop because if I stopped I might be insane... The need to know more intensified with each line. And now it's over... Over...And guess what?
I just want more. But there's no surprise in there right?
D.B. and Lane... Oh lord... You guys are amazing. This series is becoming one of my favorite and I saw myself imagining the next books... So much to tell... And so much to wait for it... Darn...

Another epically GREAT romance from the SAVAGE KINGS MC!
Once again, the writing team of Hart and West have claimed my heart and my admiration with “MILES,” their newest MC offering. While this may be book eight in the SAVAGE KINGS MC series, it is a total standalone with lots of the grit, STEAM, and surprises that the readers of this prodigious writing team have come to expect. “MILES” is everything an MC romance should offer and so much more . . . The book blurb does a fine job of outlining the basic story, so I will focus on what the book blurb cannot say. First and foremost, Hart and West have a wonderfully descriptive prose that is easily read and makes the reader feel like that proverbial fly on the wall. Characterization is a slow burn to the realization as to why Miles sees himself as nothing more than a worthless killer with no heart and assumes his new bride sees him as such. Kira, whose inner beauty has an outer glow, is by far one of the strongest book heroines ever. Completely misjudged, she uses her strength to help those she loves in the most fundamental way, and I am sure that anyone who reads this phenomenal tale will feel the same admiration for Kira. Finally, Hart and West have that amazing ability to reveal just enough information to their readers to keep them on the edge of their seats and reading pages as quickly as possible. Tensions of all kinds are kept at such a high level that real life issues tend to fade as readers focus to find out what happens to the characters they have taken to heart! And if other readers are anything like me, they come to end of the novel with the ambivalence of realizing that the end also means that one must wait until the next SAVAGE KINGS MC novel is released. You come to love Miles a member of the Savage King MC's.
A member of the Savage Kings so he has his brothers but none of them close to him. Miles doesn't feel worthy of being loved by anyone especially a woman.This book is written so well in loving the personality of Miles. Even though he's had a hard life.
There is humor between the brothers that you can't help but have a good laugh as you read about their antics. Especially with Miles getting advice from his brothers on female relationships.
There is brotherhood, loyalty, camaraderie and cherishing their women. Miles happens to find someone online of ally things. Kira has put herself on website to sell herself as a bride. Their relationship isn't an easy one since Miles has never been in one. He's only had one night stands or gotten with the clubs females for entertainment but he is too rough so they don't hookup with him.
Kira puts herself up for quite a bit of money to help her father and mother pay a debt that they owe to the Russian mob after their business storage burns down and everything is lost. Miles pays that amount and a mutual contract is written up and each of them has specific requirements.
Little does Miles know that with the marriage to Kira it brings Russian trouble and the Savage Kings need to deal with it.
Miles and Kira start having problems but little by little get to know each other which both want since they come together things are very steamy. Loved reading this book of Miles but have enjoyed all the Savage King MC books by Lane Hart and D.B West. You can't help but love the guys and their stories.
Definitely recommend this book especially if you've read any of the Savage King MC books.

Lane Hart and D.B. West are so unbelievably gifted and talented Authors and it shows in every well written word of their latest release, Miles. While I do try never to give away any part of the plot, because I do not want to ruin it for reader's... Here it goes;

From the moment you start reading, you are immediately drawn in to a world of intrigue and drama. There is so much chemistry between these two amazingly crafted characters but communication is definitely something to work on. As Miles and Kira begin to get closer, so does the danger they found themselves in and I couldn't put my kindle down. You've got to read this book and yes, it does have a happily ever after. I am now impatiently awaiting the next release for this Brotherhood, Sax.

Miles is described as a killer. He doesn't know what its like to show feelings and act any way but demanding.
He wants what all of the guys in the MC have been getting, a wife and sex on demand.
He starts looking for a mail order bride and Kira is the first one that catches his eye. He immediately send her a message and she responds. The first thing he ask her is for a nude picture. Kira on the other hand has no idea what to do. She put the ad up to make money to get her parents out of a dangerous situation.
They make a plan to meet and get married. Miles has no idea how nervous Kira is and demands she has sex with him the minute they get back to the house he bought. He doesn't even give her a chance to get to know him in any way. No questions, no talking, just wham bam thank you mame.
She freaks out and then he proceeds to avoid her every chance he can.
Until they finally start communicating with each other.
For me it seemed a little over the top how Miles went from the scary guy to almost this sweet caring dude overnight. It didn't add up that he would change just from seeing Kira. There was one incident with the cat that he was having that I wish would have been addressed more. I was so sure they would go back and get the cat but it was never brought up again. It just seemed to have something significant to the story.

In this book we learn more about Miles. He has always believed that no woman will ever love a killer. How could they see past what he has done. But he sees his brothers getting old ladies. Making families and it leaves him feeling low so he decides to buy a bride. He has more money than he will even use. What's $500,000 when he will have someone to live with hopefully have a family with?? Nothing so Miles going head strong into talking to a lady called Kira. He doesn't ask why she needs the money he doesn't care but maybe he should of asked as it was to pay off the Russian Mob who were harassing her father. Kira is a lovely lady that will do anything for her family. Within hours they are talking about what they want from there marriage. Miles being Miles, The first thing he says is sex! Kira isn't too sure but agrees to sex on there wedding day and they talk about get married in a few days .
This is a FANTASTIC read and I love seeing the softer side of MIles and Kira is so lovely that you just wish them the best. This book melted my heart.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. I’ve been waiting for Miles story and I’m so happy he finally got his. Miles is complicated, he feels unworthy of love, relationships, anything really outside of a one night stand. He’s envious of the brothers who have found the right woman and he wants that. Kira’s family is in dire straights owing money to the Russian Mafia, and they are coming for her father, she takes matters into her own hands to get them the money they need, only little does she know that when she meets Miles her life is about to change in so many ways. I won’t give anything away and it’s so hard not too, I just loved these two together she is good for him and he’s protective of her. They are meant for each other. Loved this book and can’t wait to see what more is to come. Miles and Kira are explosive, steamy and deliciously sexy together, there is suspense, miscommunication, both are always thinking the worst of themselves. This is a must read! This series as a whole is a can’t miss out on it! Highly recommend his book!

What happens when these two desperate people get together is not at all what they really expected. Can they get out from under the mob? Will they ever like each other enough to stay married? I just love the MC stories these authors write. This one is clearly among the better ones. Once you start there is just no way of putting down the story until it is finished. The only problme with the full length novel is that I want more... and more... and more... and can not wait until the next story in this series. What I really like with these authors is also the quality of their writing. There are hardly ever even one typo in the whole story and grammatically, at least as far as I can tell they are really correct. So everything else, when the storyline is fantastic, the characters are just superb and the quality of the writing - it is not possible to give out any less than five stars for a great story such as this one. Kira is a sheltered daughter of Russian emigrants. She post-poned going to college to funnel some of her cool funds into her parents’ furniture business. She was a little confused about how a thriving business could be doing poorly, but a large cut of profits goes to the Russian mobster who helped set them up in business and use their warehouse and shipping facilities to cover more illicit trafficking.
When a fire destroys their warehouse, local thugs come to threaten the life of her father, so Kira decides to marry for a price, to settle in their debts.
Miles was a Marine sniper with a literally killer past who pays the fee for a wife, never imagining he would be bringing his greatest happiness, and greatest confusion into his life.
Romantic and bloody action filled steamy m/f romance. Great hot KU read!
