Stay with me.
Three simple words.
One impossible request.

I’ve loved Allie McCallister for as long as I can remember. Her happiness and well-being mean more to me than anything else, which is why when the opportunity of a lifetime presented itself, I had to take it. Three months was such a short amount of time to be apart to provide the financial stability we needed to start our lives.

It wasn’t supposed to catapult my band to stardom, and it sure as hell wasn’t supposed to set off the chain of events that pushed my relationship with Allie to the brink. Our hearts were shattered, our love tested, and when everything fell apart she begged me to leave.

Eight years ago, tragedy broke us. Now we’re back in the same little town where we once dreamed of building our future.

She’s a divorced, single mom.
I’m a damaged country music star.
There are a hundred reasons for us to stay apart.

But all it takes is one look, one touch, one kiss to know our story isn’t over. Now I have to convince her to let me stay.

This is a storyline that I never get tired of, small town boy returns to his hometown after making it big in the music industry. He sees his first love for the first time in years and memories come flooding back... Okay that is a tiny snippet of the book plot so you get the gist so if you love a sweet small town romance with low angst and a second shot at love then you will love this story as much as a I did.

Jackson and Allie fell in love when they were young. Every memory they have of growing up is usually one they shared together. The foundation of their love built over the years and it was completely unshakeable. Until something happened that rocked their world and the foundation began to crumble. As young as they were then, they agreed that they needed time apart. Neither of them realised just how long that would be.

‘We parted amicably. No blame or hard feelings, we walked away loving the relationship we’d had but understanding it was the love of two teenagers who still had so much living to do.’

About 10 years later, Allie is a divorced single mum to a gorgeous wee boy called Mason. She has returned to her hometown of Bear Creek to take over the running of her family BnB. Her life has not gone the way she thought it would but she does have a son that she adores so he is the silver lining in her failed marriage.

When word gets out that Jackson McCoy is back in town Allie thinks she can safely avoid him - for now. However, her mum decides to meddle a bit and Jackson becomes the new guest staying at the BnB. I was dying with anticipation for Jackson to meet Mason and I was not disappointed. Mason is so damn cute and he absorbs Jacksons attention like a sponge.

Seeing Mason and Jackson together is bittersweet for Allie, it is a reminder of a life that they could have had together. Memories and feelings are not just flooding back, it’s like a tidal wave crashing over both of them. The love they shared all those years ago has never dissipated and now it seems time and perhaps fate has brought to where they are now. Where they should have always been, together.

‘He’s thunder, and I’m lightning, and in the past, when we came together, our love was a giant storm. It’s consuming, and it floods me to the point of no return.’

This story isn’t completely hearts and flowers. There is a bit of drama weaved in because real life is not a fairy tale and both of them have pasts. Overall though it was a heartwarming story filled with plenty of cute moments and a whole lot of love :)

‘I grieved. I healed. I tried to move on. But my heart always stayed with my first love. My only love.’

‘My heart has only ever beat for one girl.’

Stay With Me is a first love/second chance romance we’d describe as emotional and sweet. We loved how the author didn’t involve drama for the sake of drama, how we were afforded the chance to spend much quality time with Allie and Jackson, and how the characters communicate. Factors we that really worked for us.

K.L. Grayson provided us with characters we grew to love and really care about. From those heady young days of first love, through tragedy and second chances, we worried for them and revelled in a soulmate love we knew, in our hearts, would surely find its way.

‘Letting go of someone you love is hard. Moving on is sometimes harder.’

We first meet Allie McAllister, at eighteen, Jackson McCoy at nineteen, two young people desperately in love, yet on the cusp of making some very grown-up decisions. From there the story moves eight years into the future, where Jackson is returning to their hometown of Bear Creek, Idaho.

Allie is now a divorced, single Mum to the oh so cute, Mason, and Jackson has spent the last two years travelling the world and finding himself after ending his country music career.

There is a lot of water under the bridge and some unresolved pain both Allie and Jackson have to work through, but it never became cumbersome. Just the opposite, it was handled believably on both sides. We understood Allie’s reservations and empathised with Jackson’s past.

“Allie?”
“Yeah?”
“There isn’t a rewind button in life, but every once in a while, we get a do-over. Sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get a chance to do right the second time what we got wrong the first time…”

Through both pov’s we learn of the tragedy that tore them apart eight years earlier, and hurdle over the obstacles with them in their present. We were on tenterhooks along with Jackson and Allie, waiting for the perfect moments to shatter as they came to terms with their past heartache.

“If we do this, you’re mine, Allie.”
“I’ve always been yours.”

We adored Jackson, Allie and all the characters in this small town romance, especially little Mason, Allie’s five-year-old son. His relationship with Jackson absolutely melted our hearts.

This is our second read by this author, and we’ve promised ourselves to read anything K.L. Grayson releases in the future because as far as characters, sweetness, and emotion goes, she has delivered. We understood these characters, we believed in their story, we felt their love. A perfect book to escape reality for a few hours. Allie, Jackson and Mason will steal your hearts!

When you get that second chance with your first love...the one that you never stopped loving or thinking about...you take that second chance and run with it and never let it go.

I love this troupe, it never gets old and Grayson put her spin on it and made me fall in love with these characters.

With young love, there is heartbreak and pain especially when you have that deep emotional love that Allie and Jackson had. When you are young and are broken because of uncontrollable circumstances, sometimes you need that separation to grow as individuals, sometimes you need that space to be able to overcome the pain and grow and become better people.

Eight years later, Allie and Jackson have that chance again though now she is a divorced single mother to adorable Mason. But the love isn’t lost and readers will experience the heartfelt beauty of winning your love again, the romantic words and gestures that will make your heart and soul melt.

I just LOVED Jackson... everything about him... really the perfect man wearing his heart on his sleeve. Mason, Allie’s son, all knowing and seeing everything as a child would...he made me laugh and smile so much.

I rooted for these three to become a family and I wasn’t disappointed with the journey. ❤️❤️❤️

I tried

But sadly, I have read this very book by many other authors. I found myself straying from the story because the characters were not interesting enough and the surrounding world around them was two dimensional. it was straight line and it was predictable.

I actually DNF near the end.

Like I said. I tried.

Nice cover though.

So far reviews are very generic. I need more that what I read to decide to read a book. Telling how "emotional, sweet, great, amazing, the best so far" etc. will not cut. I will wait for more reviews.

Stay With Me is an incredible, emotional story that I won’t forget. It’s a second chance romance. Allie and Jackson reconnect after 8 years apart and basically picked up right where they left off. They actually seem like a couple that should and will be together forever, which I don’t feel often.

The prologue draws you in automatically and you don’t want to put the book down. I did have some questions about Jackson’s character in this prologue, but not everything is as it seems. The reason why becomes clear a few chapters later, and it was devastating. This chapter gave me so many goosebumps and lots of tears.

Allie and Jackson were wonderful characters. Jackson is a really great guy; one you don’t see often enough. He’s a musician, dealing with some demons, but he was kind and thoughtful. Allie had been dealt some bad hands and yet she still was incredibly strong, and determined. Their chemistry was on fire! Allie’s son, Mason, was a very realistic child character. He reminded me so much of my son!

There were a couple things that I struggled with. Allie had major trust issues, and you do understand why, but still it was like Jackson is just going to get some air, and you think he’s leaving you forever!? Allie and Jackson also had an instant reconnection, and immediately were back together. I don’t like the second chance trope and this is one of the reasons why. You don’t get to see how they meet or how their relationship came to be. There were only two past memories in the book and they were the prologue and the chapter I talked about above. It felt a bit like instalove, since we don’t really get to see much from their past.

K.L. Grayson did an amazing job creating a love story that you just know will last forever. Highly recommend!

K.L. Grayson delivers an entertaining romance with lovable characters who have beautiful souls and amazing chemistry. I enjoyed every second spent with these two.

I absolutely loved Jackson. He is kind, mature, selfless and the way he cared for Allie was so sweet. The two of them had a picture perfect romance until they received some heartbreaking news. This traumatic event pulls them two of them apart and it's not for his lack of trying. She pushes him away, believing that it's for the best. She needs some time alone while he pursues his dream of becoming a country music star. He does find fame and fortune, but it comes at a high price. Feeling lost and broken, he decides to move back home.

Allie is newly divorced, raising her five year old son and running her family's bed and breakfast. She discovers that Jackson is back in town after being gone eight long years. She does her best to avoid him, but it's a small town. It doesn't take long before their paths cross. They soon discover that there is no lost love between them. That their story isn't over yet. But will they be able to work through the issues that ultimately tore them apart? And what happens when her ex-husband comes back to town to stir up trouble?

In all, Stay With Me is a beautifully written love story that is both gut-wrenching and heartwarming. What Jackson and Allie had was a once in a lifetime type of love. It was a powerful, moving and an absolutely epic romance. This one will definitely put your heart through the ringer. It's a very emotional journey full of ups and downs, but completely worth the tears.

The cover should be awarded its own star. That guy is hot! Allie and Jackson and their second chance at love story is a delight from start to finish. A bit of heartbreaking backstory, along with some seductive wit, sexy chemistry and just a bit of angst plaguing our main characters pretty much adds up to a solid and easy lowkey read. Nothing too over-the-top.

Stay with Me is a swoony, heartfelt, and steamy second chance romance that tugs on your heartstrings and leaves you craving the most spectacular happily-ever-after for Allie and Jackson.

KL Grayson's divine words wrap around your heart and leave their mark on your thoughts. I didn't want this story to end, but I couldn't read fast enough. When the story breaks your heart, it will be put back together in the most magnificent way. Ahh, Stay with Me was everything I love about romance and everything I want in a book.

Simply put, it was magical.

What a great love story! Jackson and Allie are high school sweethearts who fall in love but are too young and immature to deal with what life hands to them.

Jackson decides to follow his dream and pursue a career with a band and he signs on to go on tour with his friends Tommy and Kyle, also band members. Allie, however, doesn't want him to go because of the circumstances they find themselves in, but it's too late and Jackson has already signed on.

I guess I'd call this a second chance romance because eight years later Jackson finds himself going back to the little town of Bear Creek where Allie is. She has been married and moved on in her life, but she's also divorced and has a son now. (I think that's already telling too much!)

What I really love about Jackson is Jackson is a really good guy who ends up having to deal with Richard, Allie's ex. The two men, as one could only imagine, do not get along at all, but Richard is particularly jealous of Jackson and that creates a lot of drama for everyone involved.

From that first page in the prologue I was invested in these characters. This was an incredible second chance romance with lots of emotion, tenderness and epic off the charts chemistry. KL writes amazing stories that suck you in from beginning to end.

Allie and Jackson were young lovers who needed the time to grow and mature to make their way back to each other. It was evident that they were meant to be together. It wasn’t just the chemistry it was a forever bond that no one could ever replace.

It’s a second chance romance with all the feels.

Second chance romance.
I love second chance romance but the reason for the breakup can either really work or not.

Spoilers below.

This is an interesting one as they lost a baby, late in her pregnancy, split up over grief, they were very young, when they meet up after 8 years she is divorced with a son from her ex.
They get together quite quickly.
Cute kid.
Ex drama on the heroines side.
I liked that obviously the heroine was married previously but the Hero obviously moved on as well, but his dating/relationship history is vague.
From a few comments made he obviously was involved with other women but there are no details.
This is unique esp considering he was famous in the music industry.
No cheating.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
Breadcrumbs dropped for future books in series.
HEA.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

5 Finding Their Missing Pieces Stars

This book is absolutely hands down one of the BEST second chance love stories I've ever read. Jackson and Allie were high school sweethearts with big plans and one day those plans changed when they found out they'd created a life. While this was a curveball they weren't expecting, they embraced it moving forward with becoming a family. And then the unthinkable happened and everything changed on a dime.

This book starts almost ten years later when Jackson has retreated from being part of one of the best selling country music bands moving back to their small town and Allie is back running her family's B&B while raising her cute as can be son Mason.

There's no denying the attraction is still there between Jackson and Allie, but oh my heart, there was so much pain too. I could feel how hard it was for Allie to want to deny her feelings for the only man she's ever loved...yes, there's an ex-husband but he doesn't measure up to this man. And Jackson is grappling with his own demons.

I’m in love with how our H/h came into their love again. They dealt with their history and made a commitment that going forward their love would get them through the ups and downs of being adults in love and everything that comes with it.

Ms. Grayson does a phenomenal job of not staying away from tough and touchy situations just like real life. The characters are so well developed and the book moves at a great pace. I found myself feeling empathetic to what they’ve been through but also so excited for their future and what this new love looks like for them. I admired Allie’s determination to stand on her own even though Jackson could end a lot of her burdens. And oh how Jackson loves Mason. This little boy is at times a cuddly little bear and other times ALL BOY. There’s no denying he needed the connection he developed with Jackson. There’s just the right amount of angst in this book too. It wasn’t overwhelming at all.

I completely devoured this book and when I got to the very end, I wanted more about this new couple in my life and really hoping a couple of the secondary characters will get their own stories!

“There isn’t a rewind button in life, but every once in a while, we get a do-over. Sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get a chance to do right the second time that we got the first wrong.”

“That look is everything I need.”

“Two bodies, two hearts, two souls, raw and vulnerable as they reunite and become one.”

Stay with Me….3 simple words that have the power to make or break you. One moment. One outcome that has the power to turn your life upside down. But, sometimes, if you’re lucky fate will intervene and offer up a second chance. If that should happen, if fate should offer you that second chance, one would be stupid to not go after it with everything they’ve got……

Allie and Jackson fell hard and fast for one another. But life took them both on unexpected roads. Eight years would pass before before these two would cross paths again. Jackson’s had a lot of time to reflect on his past and now that his path has once again crossed with Allie, he will do anything to keep her.

The road to happily ever after for Jackson and Allie won’t be an easy one. They both have pain and heartache to work past. But, if there is one thing that I’ve learned while immersing myself in Jackson and Allie’s story is that these two have an unforgettable and powerful love. What they once shared is real, and worth fighting for. Sure, they’re both different people than they once were. But, a love like they have is a love that can withstand anything…..

Stay with Me is a heartbreaking and beautiful second chance romance. This story pulled me in from the first page and had me holding my breath until the very last page. From pain and love to heartbreak and second chances. This story was beautifully written and was everything that I could ever want or need in a book by K.L. Grayson.

4.5 Stars

I’ve once again taken a chance on a new-to-me author and I’m not at all complaining. This second chance romance is beautifully heartbreaking. It’s packed with an emotional punch that’ll hit you with all the feelings.

Allie and Jackson have loved each other since at a young age. After a little hiccup, they were on their way to feeling endless joy. But tragedy struck, and their relationship was changed forever. Eight years later, Jackson returns home to Bear Creek and is bombarded with memories of what once was and with possibilities of what could have been. And the one constant was and is still is, Allie.

After years of being apart, it’s no denying that the spark that Allie and Jackson had is still there. When they see each other again after so many years, it’s evident that all those feelings they felt for one another are still there. They’ve both been through a lot and both have learned a great deal about themselves. They’re at a different point in their lives, but no matter what, they’ll always be linked. And it leads to question, can they once again be happy together?

Stay with Me hit me with the emotions from the start. From the beginning, Allie and Jackson’s story broke my heart, but by the end my heart was put back together. This second chance romance delivers on the romance, has lovable characters and will take you on a beautifully heartfelt journey.

His Last Stand!!!

Jackson McCoy had always been in love with Allie McAllister, when she asked him to stay with her eight years ago. He couldn't cause he wanted to provide financially stability for them to start their future together. So he when on a gig that was supposed to be for three months. He just never expected to reach stardom and lose so much especially the woman he loved.

Now they are both back in Bear Creek, Idaho. She's a single mother of a cute boy named Mason and a divorcee. And he was a damaged country music star who just wanted out of the spotlight after the tragic death of one his best-friends. When they first saw each other after so many years, it was as if nothing changed.

But Allie wasn't willing to risk her heart again even when flame between them was burning hotter than ever. Little didn't she know that she couldn't outrun her destiny. She had people rooting for them, their biggest cheerleader was Mase. The latter was so adorable, Jackson fell head over heels with him and vice versa.

As they reconnected Jackson wanted Allie and Mase to be his in every way that mattered. Even when Allie's past trying to come between them, they were stronger than ever. The lovebirds got their second chance at happiness and they grabbed it with both hands.

STAY WITH ME is a standalone romantic novel by K.L Grayson. What a heart-wrenching, alluring, sexy and irresistible journey. This book has all the feels. Magnificent job by Ms Grayson! 5 Golden Stars

P. S. Looking forward to more! ;)

This book is a beautiful and heartbreaking second chance romance. It is packed full of emotions and will punch you right in the gut.

Jackson and Allie fell in love as children and once tragedy struck their relationship changed forever, or so they thought. Eight years later, Jackson has returned home and Allie is nearly divorced. So what happens when these two reconnect?

Jackson is sweet, he is kind, and he has experienced so much loss in his life. He was pushed away by the one girl he loves more than anything, he experienced fame and fortune. But once again, tragedy struck his life and he realized it’s not what he wants in his life. He heads back to Bear Creek to start a life away for the fame. Allie is a single mother and after her divorce moved back to Bear Creek. She has taken over the inn her mother owns. When she finds out that Jackson has returned home and when they run into each other they both realize that there is still something between the two of them.

This story grabbed a hold of my emotions right from the start. Jackson and Allie’s past will break your heart, but their future will put it back together again. It is a beautifully written story and everything you could ever want in a second change romance. This story deserves more than 5 stars and is one that I would highly recommend to anyone.

KL Grayson has written a story full of emotion that twists and turns your heart inside out. The characters have a depth that makes them feel like old friends. Everything I love about second chance romance is in these pages. Love hurts and the author will test your limits but she will also put you back together again. This was a beautiful second chance love story of childhood sweethearts reconnecting that had me hooked from the start.

4 second-chance stars!

I am a sucker for second-chance romances and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Stay with Me. The blurb caught my eye but it was the prologue that completely drew me in. Reading about Allie and Jackson’s past left my heart pounding because I had so many theories about the way this story would go, most of them painting one of the characters in a not so favorable light. I thought that the initial breakup would be over something else entirely and I am really glad I was so wrong.

After devouring the beginning of the book and feeling the loss that these characters suffered, I knew I was in for an emotional reunion. Allie and Jackson were childhood sweethearts when tragedy and circumstance pulled them apart, leaving both brokenhearted.

Eight years later, Jackson comes back to Bear Creek very much a different man than when he left. Guilt, regret, and pain consume him but he is working on taking control of his life. Allie may have imagined her life would end up differently but she doesn’t regret the way things happened because it gave her a son. She is a single mom who works hard to give him the best life she can and isn’t looking for love.

When Jackson returns, the love that bloomed when they were children flares back to life. Just as their broken hearts begin to heal they must face challenges again, fighting for the love they lost but have found again.
“There isn’t a rewind button in life, but every once in a while, we get a do-over. Sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get a chance to do right the second time what we got wrong the first.”

Stay with Me is a sweet, heartwarming story about first loves, first heartbreaks, and second chances at a love that was always meant to be. Jackson and Allie shows us a forever love that never fades no matter the tragedy they endure or the time that separates them, and I loved it!

Allie and Jackson are well developed, likeable characters. They are genuine and real, and I did not fault them for the decisions they made when their hearts broke. I felt their love,  their pain, and  their loss. Emotion poured from the pages and it was utterly heartbreaking especially because I knew these two were meant to be.

Taking a chance on love again is never easy when heartache is tied so closely to it. The past is hard to overcome and the future is scary when you open your heart again.
We ruined each other last time we were together. I still feel the pain of his love—a deep cut at the base of my heart that aches every time I take a breath.

However, Allie and Jackson are perfect together and I knew they would fight for their happily ever after. Love doesn’t always run smoothly and sometimes it happens at the wrong time. You have to grow and learn and live before the timing is finally right.
"I think we had to fall apart before we could come back together, and we’re going to be stronger because of it.”

This love story is beautifully written. It’s sweet, steamy, and romantic, and Jackson couldn’t have been more swoony. It is well-paced and entertaining, and I couldn’t have turned the pages faster. I needed to know what happened. The flashbacks gave me the much needed pieces of the puzzle while the present showed me that true love never dies. The drama wasn’t over the top and Allie and Jackson were mature and functional when dealing with it. I loved the way everything unfolded even when it was painful because I knew it was all worth it.

Overall, Stay with Me is an emotional, second-chance romance that is sure to put a smile on your face. If you are a fan of second-chances, you don’t want to miss this heartfelt read!
