Good read

Told mainly from Charlotte's POV who has a wicked sense of humour. The characters and storyline are well developed and there is enough action to keep you interested. The storyline is different to what I've read previously which made a nice change. The world is a different place after the toxic mist. Torn between love and loyalty to her family Charlotte eventually comes to her senses. She seems to need saving all the time which was annoying although she did try to do the saving but she would end up fainting due to trying to use all her gifts. Dash is the male lead and falls for Charlotte but he's hiding alot. I thought this might be a love triangle but it ended up not thank goodness. There is nothing worse than a love triangle. I was ready for throwing the kindle when Dash made his confession. Its a good read, it has sexual content and violence. The ending could have been written better as it ended abruptly; the epilogue told from Dash POV was not enough either, it was like the author couldn't be bothered with detail to end it properly. Still I really enjoyed the trilogy. Highly recommended

OMG, what a spectacular Series! The author, JL Weil, did a fantastic job on this, it pulled me right in & kept my interest! I was glued to this book until I was done. The pace is fast & furious- keeping me on the edge of my seat, the world building was excellent in my opinion, the H/h characters (Dash & Charlotte) are very likable as well as being able to relate to their situations, they have you wishing for their HEA! The relationship between Dash & Charlotte is wonderful, they are yin to yang balanced, complementing each other perfectly. Charlotte & Dash’s back & forth banter was fun & helped lighten some of the heavier scenes. Dash is a perfect hero, he’s troubled, deep & complex enough with enough good & imperfections to balance him, making him a believable male hero character. The hidden secrets behind Dash are enough to drive you crazy with speculation of what they all are. Each tidbit given- as the story progresses, is such a tease! This kept my interest & left me satisfied with the HEA to the series. Definitely a re-read type of series.

So if I hadn’t read her Raven series this book probably would have gotten more stars from me, but Dash was very very similar to the male MC from that series. Same attitude and angst, so it took some of the enjoyment out of the read.

The world itself was interesting, there were some question and logistics still unanswered that bother my analytical mind but over all an enjoyable read. The main relationship was a little too angsty at first then it was in my opinion a little unhealthy (I need you constantly and you’re the boss of me) but this is dystopian so maybe different guidelines should apply 🤷🏻‍♀️.

The author kept misusing one phrase through and it kind of drove me batty. The phrase is ‘had another think coming’ and she used ‘thing’ I know it’s commonly misused but... I kind of expect more from published authors. And It just makes more sense I think one of the instances was “if he thought he was getting her, then he had another ‘think’ coming” its nit picky I know, but I believe it was used several times in book 1 alone so it got slightly annoying.

One of the best

This series is one of my all time favorites. Sleeping beauty meets dystopian meets strong female who takes no crap. Add in a very broody/swoonworthy man and you have everything needed for a perfect story.

This takes place in a dystopian future where a mist caused people to develop powers but almost everyone fell asleep. Now awoken by a kiss our bad a** heroine must figure out who she is and why she has these powers.

Highly recommend if you enjoy anything I mentioned. Even if you are skeptical I suggest you try it. It is bound to become a favorite.
KU read.

Absolutely loved this world! It was so interesting to me and I wish I could keep reading about it. She wakes up to find out the world is nothing like she remembers. Dash and Charlotte kind of have a love-hate relationship at the beginning and their banter definitely made this series. It wasn’t insta-love and they weren’t “shy” around each other. I loved the drama and while each book connected, each one was extremely interesting on it’s own. I loved this series and you won’t be sorry you picked it up!

Best book series I’ve ever read

I can’t begin to describe how well I love these books. There is such good character development and The author makes you fall in love with each and every character and there are constant twists and turns into the story. You will never get bored reading this and it will keep you engaged the entire time. I finished these books in about three days and it had about 600 pages in the series. I was HOOKED. Please don’t even consider reading this just go ahead and download it!

Amazing Story!

I absolutely loved the concept of this series. In the beginning I had trouble getting past the brattiness of Charolette but her character grew on me. The story and the world she woke up in is so imaginative. A breath of fresh air, compared to other supernatural novels

Great retelling of Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty with…supernatural powers and zombies? Yes please! This series was amazing, full of adventure, love and heartbreak. If you are a fan of fairytale retelling and apocalyptic stories, this one is for you!

Interesting read

A blending of fairytale and post apocalypse. Nice mix of adventure, intrigue, action scenes, conflict, good vs evil and romance.

good read* spoiler

It was a good set I however would have preferred a different ending since Ember swears revenge at the end but nothing happened.
