Tatiana Bellamy was a lowkey girl who stayed to herself to avoid trouble until she crossed paths Antwan Beaumont. Antwan was the polar opposite of her; charming, outgoing, and popular but that didn’t matter. The two quickly formed a bond and became the best of friends. But what happens when these best friends take things to the next level? Could they risk losing each other forever?Join them on their journey as they grow up in the city of New Orleans.
Some authors could really take notes from this young lady. She had a very good story with the basic writing structure we all learned in school. The setup, rising action, the conflict, and the RESOLUTION!!!! Baby this book was so good! The trauma was heartbreaking but the love, encouragement and GROWTH was perfect! *chefs kiss* It was so refreshing to read a book that resolved issues and promoted growth. I love love love it!
3.5 Ant and Tati are childhood sweethearts. Ant was really a fckboy. He made sure to cockblock any dude Tati talked to. Tati was young and naive just looking for love. Kylie was beyond delusional. Charles deserved a worse death he got off too easy. It was nice how Tati siblings came together and supported her & each other. I loved Tati and Ant finally getting an HEA.
'How you gonna do me like that...I still want you back...Man, I still want you back
Tatiana Bellamy lived a life always feeling misplaced and unloved until her last fight put her in alignment with Antwan Beaumont. Antwan was everything and he knew it. Becoming fast friends with Mr. Popular, Tatiana is now living her best life. With raging hormones, vibrant attractions and a solid friendship makes for the lines to be crossed, but tattered feelings bear insecurity, betrayal erupts as choices have to be made and when kids play grown folks games, there's bound to be a misunderstanding. Friends, Lovers and Enemies are all in this playbook that reads as N.O.L.A.
N.O.L.A. was a great read with major potential of being an excellent read, but the author put no tangible energy, time or concentration on the editing of this project. I am not a harsh critic when I see a few mistakes, but when I'm having to take time to try and figure out if she's trying to define an accent or dialect or if it's just plain misspelled....that's a problem.
The characters and their relationships were enchanting...Cion Lee was consistent in character development and intereaction. I applaud her because even though it was indeed a memorable love story, it wasn't fairytale-ish...realistic to the utmost. I enjoyed seeing the deviation from the usual hood trap lifestyle and the portrayal of success with natural talent. I further applaud the author being that she touched on some very harrowing topics that need to be addressed and the authenticity of reactions were relatable on all levels. I fervently encourage Ms. Cion Lee to put more effort into the editing of her future projects, because her talent is so much more than she can imagine...and if she gets that in order...greater works will she do!! Kudo's! 4.08****
This author is so talented This book is awesome. I really like the Bellamy sisters and brothers regardless of how the adults in their lives have conducted themselves these sisters and brothers are all about supporting each other and love. Tatiana needed love in the worst way and she was blessed to meet Antwan her overprotective friend and then lover. This is the story of young love and the ups and downs that you go through and the people that go through it with you and those who come out on the end of it with you. I'm foreseeing great things for Ms. Lee.
The first love that Tati and Ant shared was so strong that even time apart couldn’t break them . I wanted to pimp slap Tati grandma and Mr. Green, but I’m glad they got what was coming to them . I can’t wait to read about Tati sister. This story was drama filled throughout couldn’t put it down.
This was O.M.G so nice and good. I must admit on about several occasions I didn't wNt to continue reading talking about 1) these people were just too young, then 2) man how much drama could there be and then 3) wow can she get a break and last 4) I wish it didn't end in tragedy and I can safely answer (in order) very young, there is more drama, I guess it's not in the card for her, and last it was a "good" tragedy. Tatianna was the epitome young girl, with no mother or father figure and raised half way by a family member who only saw money. She definitely represents all of those young girls nowadays thinking they are grown and all and yet they are still a baby. Antwan, your typical boy but more mature than the others tried the thug life but it wasn't for him until he got the right push and he did everything right. This story that MS. Lee gave us had everything in it, from teenage pregnancies, to miscarriage, to abused, to rape, to drugs and alcohol, to going down a spiral road of bad decisions after bad decisions. What was nice is the fact that nothing deviated to the main characters and the book stayed focused on them. I personally can stand reading a book about so many characters that the main one get lost in the fray after a while. That's what I like with MS. Lee's book and that's why I am going to continue reading about her books. Very good, very good indeed, and to put a big red cherry on top, she has the perfect set up or background setting: NOLA!
Cion Lee has quickly become my favorite authors of 2025, the way she sets the story up and the writing is so amazing. I loved everything about this story. I usually do not like stories with the FMC & MMC being super young but it all made since and came together at the end. we needed to see the past in order to understand Ant and Tati's relationship. It also was vital to Tati's character devolvement.
Tati's story was so heartbreaking and healing at the same time, I cannot image being so young and dealing with that level of trauma. I loved how she was able to find her siblings and pick herself back up after everything. Cion Lee stories are interconnected, so I loved seeing characters that are in her other books make an appearance in this story.
I was disappointed how Antwan dismissed Tati so easily at first but they were all super young and there is no real right way to navigate those situations honestly. So I don't hold it against him at all. I am just so glad that they were able to find their way back to each other and heal the right way.
Great story

Whoever said ex's can't make a full comeback, clearly doesn't know Ant and Tatianna. This book is full of character and raw details inside the lives of New Orleans friends who are just trying to make it. Tas grandmother turned out to be the devil himself and her absent father was far behind. After discovery of a new friendship with Ant nobody could have told her what lied ahead was pain, misery and self destruction. Family is everything until it isn't and blood is mostly definitely thicker than water. Good read that will leave you feeling hurtful, and rejoicing in the end.
My second read by the author and though the stories I’ve read so far are similar about young loves they are really good! I would have given five stars but it a few do many grammatical errors as well misplaced characters. She would be speaking of one character but using the wrong name and come back later so it could be confusing, also the consistent theme of calling men the B word and beating on them really turned me away and had me cringing because neither should be getting degraded in that way nor promoting the physical violence. Other than that it was well written hood book which seems to be this authors lane and nothing wrong with it lol
A good storyline with well thought out characters except for a few moments of WTF. It was awkward at first seeing how young these characters were and doing what they were doing. But it is also a reality. I had to calm down and remember the naïveté was because of age. Glad to see the growth and journey but also wish there could of been a further development or epilogue of their future beyond the age we left them. Also loved how the other characters from the series were sprinkled in.
This is my first read by this author. Although it was clear that an editor was needed, maybe do that and do a rerelease, the book was good. It was lengthy without being boring. There were a few things I would like a follow up on. Like Tamia , her baby and who the father was. What happened to Tilly? What happened with NO LA solo careers? Maybe that becomes added bonus content when you release this again? Hint hint
I always love stories about young love and how they reconnect years later. This was no exception. Ant was a good guy (maybe just 80% in the beginning) and Tati...I completely empathize with her childhood. It was a little rough for her. But I love how they started out as friends and then fell in love. Those are some of the best relationships. And I'm so happy Tati connected with her family and that they were so close.
I couldn't put this down. Im so glad Tati siblings showed her the love she needed. Tamia and Tati were so good together . Her grandmother, dad, Kylie, and mr Greene needed to get so much help. So glad that ant and Tati got it together they were meant to be. Keep up the amazing job.
This was really good but I was filled with anxiety all the way through. I just couldn’t wait for Antwan to realize what happened to Tati and how he abandoned her in her time of need. I am so glad she found her siblings and established those bonds. They way they worked themselves back to each other was fate! Great read!
He was the true definition of love. He loved Tatiana like no other. I was so heartbroken with the struggles she endured but she came out on top. This was a really great read and I would most definitely recommend this book. I have the book 4 stars because of the numerous typos but the book was .let definitely a 5 star read. Great work Cion!!!
From start to finish I was hooked! Once I started this book I could not stop reading! I loved everything from the flow of the story to the development of the characters! Reading this book I felt like I was a character in the book myself because I could feel the emotion from each character! This was my first read by this author and it will not be my last!
This book was nothing short of amazing.!! I love how even tho Tati had problems with her situation she didn’t have to go they them alone and her siblings welcomed her with open arms. Ant was an asshole but I guess he means well. Tilly still needs her ass whooped. Can we get a story on her siblings? Cion you did it again love💜💜💜
I wish I read this book 1st. Rather than the Nola Noel and Tamia. It's gave you more on the background of the teen years with the characters. I love how the author intertwined both storylines in both books, and the storyline added up with events that was going on in their lives. Let's me know that this wasn't rush and the author is really on her A game. Loved it.
I hated Ant. I could forgive him for his childish antics when he was younger, but once he saw my girl later on in life, he should have been better to her. I honestly recoiled every time she gave him play because he did not deserve her. Loved the book as I do all your work. Four stars were for grammatical errors.
I was intrigued by Tati and Ant’s story after reading Tamia and Noel’s story and this did not disappoint. My heart bled for all that Tati endured — even with Ant — but she came through it and I loved seeing these two reconnect. This story grabbed me and held on til the last word and I loved every minute of it!
This is my third book by this author and just like the others this book was amazing. I enjoyed the characters and watching their growth. I truly love the real life situations and difficult topics that are presented. It truly was an amazing read and I definitely recommend it.
This story was so beautiful. Even the bad, ugly, and hard parts were written in such a way that I couldn't help but be invested. I love the way this author weaves her stories throughout different characters! But they all seem to have some ties to one another. Definitely a 5 out of 5. I did pick up on a few misprints but nothing that took away from the story.
Okay so overall this was a good story but there were sooooo many mistakes child. I’m surprised I was able to finish the book. Also, I really disliked Tatiana’s attitude. As a 14 yo I gave her the benefit of the doubt due to her being young and immature but as an adult I wasn’t for it. All in all it was a good book and I’m glad they got their hea.
The story is written really well. & in this case if certain things would have happened differently in my opinion than I would have gave it 4 stars.
Not a fan of reading little kids doing the deed. If I knew half the story was the main female character being 14, I wouldn’t have read it but I was into deep. The time jump didn’t happen as fast as I wanted it.
I loved all of these characters and hope to see more from Tatiana’s family. I definitely smell a Tamia spin-off. I liked Keem and Julian coming through. Great book, real topics, and down to earth personalities. Awesome job!!!!
Girl! You have really grown with your writing . This book was sooooo goood . I’m really impressed . I loved Tati and Ant. I know Tamia and Noel next. Keep Grinding sis !💙
A great love story from teenage years to adulthood. The story was not predictable and felt like I was reading a movie. Book was very details with real life events. I cant wait to read more about the other characters. I love the overall character development.
As a fellow Nola girl I love this perfectly told story. Dialogue and all the way down to N.O. slang was perfect. You have captured my mind once again love and I enjoyed this book.
Author Cion did an AMAZING Job ! From start to finish I enjoyed a beautiful love story about teenage love into adulthood! She just keeps getting better and better . Can’t wait for the next book honestly .
I really enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end, I especially loved how everyone was so close except that sour birch Kylie. I'm glad Ta and Lazhay made up, but most of all I'm happy her and Ant found their way back to each other.
