Set in cottage country in 1953, Jack Forrester, a damaged World War II vet, has retreated from life. Then one weekend he meets Emma Currie, an amphetamine-popping chart writer for a big band. Both lives will change forever as these two opposites collide.
A gentle comedy for two actors. The play has its dark moments as well as the comic ones, which gives some depth to the characters. A good read and likely a delightful play on stage. Foster has a knack for creating comic moments from a clash of opposites.
