Eddie Brown found himself in a spot most teachers know all too Some days he loved his job and other days he hated it. Teaching gave him money to take care of his family and a sense of fulfillment. But the culture, the work, the bureaucracy, and the stress wore him out. He walked a thin line between inspiration and despair. Each new school year, He'd give his relationship with academia another try, rolling the dice and praying to avoid a breakup. Things improved when he started coping with his struggles by engaging with them through comedy, joining the Teachers Only Comedy Tour. He went from performing on local stages in Houston in front of a few dozen people to telling jokes in major arenas and theaters across the country. From Charlotte to New York city, Dallas to Biloxi, Baton Rouge to Seattle, Montgomery to Denver, and countless other cities across America, tens of thousands of supportive fans have welcomed him with open arms, loud cheers, and contagious laughter. Join the author as he shares the struggles of what it means to be a teacher and celebrates the significance of mentoring, educating, and encouraging students.

93 pages. This is a great book for teachers of all ages. The author goes well beyond his comedy you-tube show material to inspire all teachers. He shares lots of personal information that further builds his case about how much educators fight to do their jobs and motivate kids each day, despite one’s own challenging circumstances. He speaks the truth. As an educator I agree with everything he says in this book. I am so glad he wrote it. It was good to read it at the conclusion of my school year. It won’t take too long to read, so go for it. I love his comedy routines, but I have to say, this book brought a new level of respect for the man. Bravo, Eddie B! You rock! Highly recommended for adults, especially teachers.

I've the pleasure of knowing Eddie for just over 10 years and somehow there were so many things about his life I missed during that period. Just when I thought my respect level for him was maxed out, this very well written book raised it higher. I highly recommend it, not only for educators but anyone in need of inspiration.

I have been a teacher for 21 years; so I’m not sure what I was expecting from Eddie B’s book, but I did find it interesting. So much of what he shared resonated with me. A lot of what he shared, I wish I had heard 20 years ago. The videos he created are what we teachers think but cannot say, out loud. It’s all about perspective and balance.

This book was a phenomenal read! It gave me life as a public high school teacher, and any superhero would benefit from reading it.
