Abducted by aliens and taken to a strange new planet is hard enough. It’s even more difficult when you don’t speak anyone’s language—not that of the strange, blue barbarians native to the land, nor that of the other humans stolen from Earth.
But this is my chance to make a different lifetime for myself. A life where no one knows I delivered babies for a living. To know I alone was the village midwife, solely responsible for life and death situations.
Until the first hybrid baby is born, when my destiny suddenly smacks me in the face.

Valencia and Atareek are already together in this installment. We get to learn more about Valencia's childhood and how she became a midwife. She also gets to put her skills to the test a few times.
I absolutely loved Atareek. He's so funny and good-natured; a perfect match for the more reserved Valencia. He keeps trying to use human slang but gets it wrong every time.
We make a new discovery that could change lots of things but also brings many opportunities as well. Can't wait.
An excellent story; highly satisfying! This series fascinates me. The human women have such diverse backgrounds and strengths. They manage through some trial and error to find the mate(s) perfect for them. There's adversity to be overcome. And the characters are all interesting and likable. In "Stolen," the focus is on Valencia and Atareek. Valencia's experience as a native healer and talented midwife is about to be put to good use. As for Atareek, he's extraordinary as are all the Blaedonian males, but somehow, he's tangled himself up in my heartstrings! Atareek, with his mangled Earth sayings, is the most romantic of them all. A quote from Valencia's point of view: "He whispers sweet nothings in my ear, because he knows I love it. He calls it sweet everythings, though, and its one term I don't correct." We find wonderful new surprises in this story, bringing promises of many exciting stories to come. I love this series, and in particular, this book! Keep on, Ms. Marks!
hope There will be a new book soon . Valencia and Atareek's story is about an exciting time in their life and how they click . . We learn more about Valencia's past ,meet new friends and Niki has her baby. It's fun and relaxing to read.
