What a great conclusion to a epic series. Dryas and Rues story wasn’t a easy one, it was dark and gritty and I loved every second of it. This series was a rollercoaster that I couldn’t get off of and I’m sad that’s it over.

WOW! That is all I can say. The final installment of this series was the kind of story that you can not put down. Dryas and Rue have an unlikely love story. I found it fitting that he must save her again at the end. Rue endured a lot in these books but Dryas grew so much that it offset the bad. He truly became a hero. Now I am waiting for the final brother to get his own story told...please Olivia, give us some more Damen and Bianka!!!

Dark thrills ahead ;-)

I was curious about Rue's fate. She ended the previous novel in dire straits and the author takes her to some twisted places here. I despaired about how she was engulfed in darkness and pain, but a daring rescue from some grim heroes catapult her to a new world.

I must say that this couple forsakes sleep or rest in order to sate their basic desires big way :-D
Besides all the frolicking, hot and harsh, the characters embark on a mission to untangle the conspiracy around Rue's origins. That I liked a lot because the events take a spylike, thrilling turn. Even Drays' past sins catch up with him and all comes together in a clash of danger, foreigh powers and violent undertakings.

It's a good, exciting finale to this series of dark romance. The Greek mafia brothers are quite a handful. Hopefully, this will not be the last we see of them.

Protect by Olivia Ryann is book 4 in the Protect Series. This continues the story of Dryas story and Rue, so you really should read the previous books to fully enjoy this one.
This book stars just where Possess ended. We have Rue being taken by Father Derrick and Dryas waking up after the crash finding Rue gone. To help get Rue back Dryas reaches out to his brother Damen for help. Rue is of course worried about Dryas if he survived or not. But also she is worried about her sister Amabel and her true heritage.
This was a hot action packed read...have really enjoyed this Dark Romance Series!

OMG !!!

Absolutely stunning!! I was completely captivated by Dryas and Rue’s journey. Secrets, lies, danger, death, suspense, and action that filled this book with an amazing adventure. So intriguing that I couldn’t put it down until I finished the last word. Olivia Ryann / Vivian Wood outdid herself in her writing of this story. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing read.

This is like all the other books in the series so get ready for a wild, twisted ride. A great dark romance series that I highly recommend.

I absolutely hate that this series has come to an end!!!! Since the series had to end at some point Olivia Ryann did an amazing job ending it with Protect! Absolutely brilliant!!! The suspenseful action in this book will leaving you turning page after page! My heart is still racing after reading this book!! I can't wait to see what else Olivia Ryann has in store for us next!!!

The final installment.

We last left Rue in a rather precarious position.

All the twists, turns, tenderness, passion, and excitement I expected from Olivia. Dryas and Rue get their justice, their HEA, and their future. Plus a few surprise cameos. Floved it!

There is so much to love about this final book in Olivia Ryann’s Protect series. I think the thing I love the most about this series along with the Cherish series is the evolution of the Aetos brothers. Arsen, Damen, and Dryas are bad guys. Seriously. They kidnap the women they eventually fall in love with, and they want self-gratification through their bodies whether they have permission or not. In the real world, this would be ugly and horrible. However, in the world that Ryann has niched out in her dark romances, it works. Oh boy, does it work.

For one, the reader falls for the “bad guy.” Yes, there are times when Dryas can seem unreasonable in the series. However, by this book, Protect, Dryas’s priorities are finally straight: save Rue and her sister and live a better life. At the beginning of this book, he is still enthralled with taking down Father Derrik. However, he is doing it this time for Rue, not solely for his former love interest. The reader cheers for this change because he makes the choice to live in the present instead of his past.

We also get the three Aetos brothers together in this book, and Dryas has his reckoning with Arsen. In that moment, one of the biggest surprises of the book happens. I won’t tell you how this works out, but, if you read Arsen’s series, then you will want to read this book to find out. It is definitely worth it.

Rue and Dryas are EVERYTHING in this final book. Both have finally come into their own as characters. There is action upon action upon action for these two that you hope they make it out in the end. However, this keeps the reader reading, and we can feel the pull of the two, watching them fall deeper in love with each other. This is a trope that I love with dark romance.

Protect is the PERFECT ending to this series. Honestly, it is a toss-up which series I love more. The story is fast-paced, engaging, sexy beyond all measure, and will make your heart sing at the end. If you love a good dark romance, then you really must read this series and this book.

I wasn't expecting the turn this story took; it has quite an unexpected revelation that may leave you flabbergasted but it is jaw-dropping good! Murder, mystery, suspense, betrayal, intrigue, thrills and some steamy sex scenes that are off-the-chart hot! This book is not for the faint at heart, and it may be hard for you to read with all the graphic details. The story will keep you on the edge of your seat to find out what happened next. Olivia Ryann, you did it with a storyline that is fluid as well as steamy and disturbingly dark romance with grippingly dark and twisted plots with artfully developed main characters. This is a continuation of Dryas and Rue’s story, which is unsettling and complicated. You will love this suspenseful romance where two people find happiness in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. Did Dryas pay a heavy price for love or is he incapable of love? PROTECT was everything I hoped it would be—emotional, angsty, and beguiling from the beginning until the end. I voluntairly reviewed an advance copy of this book. All I can say is you will be holding your breath with each page you read. Once again Olivia Ryann has taken her readers on another emotional journey into this dark, riveting tale filled with passion, secrets, revenge, lies and murder. The story starts as Dryas wakes up from the car crash as he was trying to get to Rue who has been taken once again by Father Derrick. Now the only person who can help him is his brother Damen as Dryas is filled with remorse for not protecting her as he comes to terms that he loves her even as he is now faced with the threat that Arsen is watching him and is close at hand but his only thought is of Rue. With Damen's connections they rescue Rue and finally after getting the answers from Father Derrick revenge takes a back seat as they learn the truth about Rue's heritage, but now they are faced with the task of getting to Anabel in time to end all of the terror and murder that surrounds the heirs to the throne? With so many twists and turns and heart stopping moments as they try and make their escape, Arsen happens upon them, but things are not what one would think . You will be on edge from beginning to end as we follow this amazing story of Dryas and Rue, will they finally be together and heal each other from the past? Can't wait to see what Olivia has in store for us next, this series is a must read and I highly recommend Protect: A Dark Captive Romance, you will not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I’ve been waiting for this and also not wanting it to end. Rue and Dryas has taken us on a roller coaster of emotions, heart ache, love and passion. We’ve been on this journey with them and they have been through so much, threats, danger, secrets and lies. Dryas needs help finding Rue once Father Derrick has grabbed her and taken off. Filled with worry and anger at himself by not keeping her safe, he reaches out to Damen for help to find her before it’s too late. All Rue wants is to know the truth of her heritage and if she really is an heir to the throne, but in the process, she’s learning more than she ever thought possible and now she needs to save her sister Amabel. You are sucked in from the begging and left on the edge of your seat as everything unravels in front of you, twists and turns, you can’t help but love Dryas and Rue, continuously rooting for them to get their HEA and wanting all the evil in their path destroyed. We get another glimpse of Arsen and what he has in store for Dryas, but nothing is as it seems to the eye. I can’t wait to see what Olivia Ryann has in store for us next. Loved this series!! This is a must read and you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this book!

This is the final book in the Protect series, and you will need to read the preceding books to appreciate this one. I enjoyed the plot, which followed along closely in time from the previous story. There is less tension and urgency in this book but it still moves quite quickly in places. Most of the questions I had were answered, and I am aware that Damen's story is yet to be told. As for the characters, I had difficulty with Dryas' behaviour, not only towards Rue but also towards his brother Arsen. Dryas's explanation didn't sit well with me, and I began to realise he was more of an antihero than I originally thought. I found myself warming more towards Damen. I would love to see the three brothers together at some point, without the threat of danger. Rue, who has often been a victim, finds her strength in this book. Given all the violence she has received at the hands of others, she uses her compassion and forgiveness towards her abusers. At the same time, she accepts that Dryas has different goals & is accepting of that. I look forward to Damen's story.

A great ending to this fantastic series which has gone from strength to strength with a mixture of twists and turns, intrigue and romance, a heart wrenching emotional journey that pushes Rue and Dryas to the brink and back not knowing if they will get there HEA. The Aetos brothers are a force to be reckoned with they may have had there turbulent relationship pushed to the limits but in the end they are family and family are there for each other. Rue has been through so much anguish and hurt in her short lifetime but she has stayed strong and with the love Rue and Dryas share the ending is only fitting to the circumstances. It was good to know that Father Derrick got his comeuppance such a disgusting man of God. Where will Olivia go now will Arsen get his own story to tell or will we get a story of what becomes of the Aetos brothers and there partners?? This series of books are a must have so go on download and start reading. I was given this as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review.

This is not a standalone and must be read in order to fully understand the story and its characters. That being said, this is a perfect ending to this series involving Rue and Dryas. The beginning starts off with the aftermath of a car crash that has Dryas wondering if Rue has survived. After he ascertains that she has, although he doesn’t know how hurt she may be, he needs to go about rescuing her from Father Derrick. It is after all the loathsome “Father” whom he has sought vengeance from all this time. But, rescuing Rue will take more than himself and he calls his brother Damen for reinforcements. From a slave auction to the fictional kingdom of Montenegro, our MC’s find danger around every turn but discover love in their hearts. Can Damen give up on his vengeance for a girl that was never truly his in order to protect the woman who has worked her way into his heart? What started out as deception with a touch of depravity ends up in a satisfyingly HEA. If you like your HEA with a touch of suspense & danger and lots of heat then I definitely recommend this series.

What a beautiful ending to finish out a huge adrenaline rush. The last book 3, Possess, it began to look as if all hope is lost. With Rue being dragged away by Derrick and Dryas left for dead in the fatal crash. With all hopes of a future with Dryas ripped away, Rue begins to understand true loss. But things are looking even worse as the last book in the series, Protect begins.

Book 4 Protect picks right back up when Possess left off. Derrick has plans to ruin Rue for running away from him and all hope of seeing Dryas alive again is lost. Not knowing if he died has done a number on Rue and she feels numb inside.

But this is not the end of our love story…..or is it?

This book was an edge of the seat read! With action and danger around every corner, this book is sure to grab your attention. But this is no normal love story and you can’t just start here. You have to start from the very beginning to understand how our lovers came to be. A dark erotic love story it is.

The characters in this book go way back. Back to Arsen in the Cherish series. Each story follows each brother and their tales of dark erotic happiness. The sex appeal of these dangerous brothers burn up the pages. Who says danger is not a turn on? Certainly not the lovely ladies who tame these wild beast. I love each and every character, but Rue and Dryas story touches my heart a tad bit more.

Overall this book is a fast paced read, with an amazing story line. The characters are dangerous and enticing, drawing readers into a dark and twisted love affair. They are magnetic and you can’t help but be drawn into their dark world. Each book leaves you wanting more, sometimes leaving you wondering what the fuck just happened. But know this, the next book will be just as exciting as the last.

So if you like dark erotic books and are not squeamish to abuse and death, this book may be perfect for you. But don’t forget this is not a standalone and must be read in order. So break out of your comfort zone and check out this thrilling adventure today.

What a roller coaster of a ride this series has been. I almost didn't want it to end! Dryas and Rue have been through so much and are finally beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I only they can overcome Father Derrick one last time. This book like the others that followed book one picks up where the previous book left off. In this one Rue has been taken following a car crash. Dryas finds himself in need of some help when he awakes from the crash. He calls in his brother Damen to help locate Rue and get her back. Once back together they set out to rescue Ama, Rue's sister and learn all they can about their connection to the Rebel King and what the connection is to Prince Henrick, Father Derrick, Rue and Ama. This story had me at the edge of my seat the whole way through. It is full of intrigue, danger, emotions of many kind, love, and a growing connection and devotion between Dryas and Rue. We even get an appearance of Aersen. Who has Dryas at times shaking in his boots with worry. Absolutely loved this series and am a bit sad that it has come to an end. Of course the did not disappoint and I loved every bit of this story. Wonderful HEA! I would love to see a more in depth story of Damen past the Cards Of Love story, The High Priestess.

Dryas the broody bastard brother! The brother with the biggest chip on his shoulder and emotions flowing through him that he just can’t control! He starts off his journey looking for revenge and taking it at any cost! What he never anticipated was falling for the woman he sought after to help him achieve his revenge! Now racing the clock to get his woman back Dryas and Rue are facing demons they didn’t know were lurking in the dark! Together though they can conquer it all! It’s keeping them together that’s going to be half the battle!

I loved this story of redemption and love because ultimately that’s what Dryas’ journey is about; redemption! He has so many mistakes to atone for and Rue has been his ally and his enemy! Their dynamic throughout this journey can’t be explained but has to be experienced! Can’t wait for more of these brothers and to see what lays ahead!

This is the epic ending to this series! I could not wait to get my hands on this book. The storyline has been one of the most intriguing storyline that have read in a long time. I just loved every minute of reading this book.

I loved the way that Rue Grew in this book. She started the series as a timid young woman, and ended the series as a strong woman that stands up for herself and will never let herself be anybody’s doormat. I can see it change Dryas. He change so much in this book, it was a delight to see such a strong man falling in love.

I’m sad to see the series end but I know that there will be many other wonderful stories coming our way from this author. I just enjoyed reading this book and I hope you do too.

I have been dying in anticipation for the conclusion to Dryas and Rue's chaotically enticing tale of lust, love, confusion, redemption, and pain.
Their messy, heartbreaking spine-tingling romance of the dark side has had me in its clutches since the very beginning - With 'Protect' -Olivia Ryann did not disappoint!
Watching the pieces come together, the only way Dryas and Rue knew how, with the helpful nudge of his brother Damien, their rock the boat journey to HEA territory is better than I could have ever imagined!
Giving new lives, along with vivid images to the strong-willed larger than life, front and center characters and smiles to my face at the ending of a deliciously dark, and twisted set of books!
I cannot wait to see what Olivia Ryann has in store for us next!

Brilliant ending to the Protect series.

After the ending of Possess, I wasn't sure where Protect would lead. But it took me on an intense and exciting journey, all on the edge of my seat.

Both Rue and Dryas are uncertain of whether the other is alive or not. With Rue being taken by Father Derrick, wondering whether she will make it out and Dryas in need of help to find Rue, if she is alive. Will they make it back to each other? Or will obstacles stand in their way?

I've loved both Dryas and Rue throughout the series. Their relationship goes from strength strength as they try to find their HEA. With both Damen and Arsen making appearances, the rollercoaster of emotions, the action and the very hot steamy scenes - this is my favourite of the series and one book you don't want to miss.

Olivia Ryann did such an amazing job with this series. I couldn't wait to read Dryas and Rue's story and this entire story did not disappoint me one bit. This is the last installment and I truly enjoyed every second of this read. There was love, passion, hatred, angst, fear, you name it and this installment kept you on that emotional rollercoaster right up until that last word. Olivia Ryann always weaves some magic with her words and these two characters have had quite the journey together.

I don't like to give spoilers in my reviews, but let's just say what once was a situation of revenge turns into a situation where the person wanting revenge becomes the protector. This series was so so good and I can't wait to see what comes next from this talented author.
