This episode of the The Ravenglass Chronicles follows Kat in her attempt to get out of Hafendorf and to the Guardians in Nebel Hafen. The lack of monetary means or skills thwart her attempts to secure shipboard transportation which leads to her adventures on the road to Nabel Hafen. Kat makes new allies as well as faces old enemies as she attempts to get to the Guardians. Once again Jon Cronshaw has created a very good sequel to the previous episodes of The Ravenglass Chronicles. I received an Advance Reader Copy and chose to provide this review.
*3.5 stars* At times I wish this series was a whole book put together instead of a novella series but then I think of how it helps break up other series/ books I’m reading and I enjoy the short story I get. Kat is becoming one of my favorite characters I’ve read and I can’t wait to see how she progresses throughout the books.
The lovers card speak of new possibilities, new friendships and thus is the direction of this episode. The path the MC is on has at least a goal and this naive female is exposed to more of life’s hard truths. I am quite pleased the more I read. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

Again I would have thought that this title would have been on the last book and Kat gives herself to Hansel… but for an unknown reason to me it’s not. This book is her adventure on being aboard a ship bound to a city close to where she needs to go but not close enough. When someone pulls her aside and starts talking to her and giving her mixed clues about whether or not to trust him. Kat and her new comrade must make their way to the guardians.
Kat continues on her journey when she encounters an unlikely friend. She needs to get to the guardians, but they will both encounter a bit of chaos. The unexpected happens when she gets there, and she needs to prove that she has some type of skill. Another very interesting book in the series.
