“You're not just asking me to give up on my dreams. You're asking me to give up on my family, my childhood, and the one focus I've been working toward my entire adult life. And for what?”

Finn MacNamara has one goal: to buy back the family estate his father lost when Finn was a child. So when his ex-lover comes back into his life only to turn around and tell Finn that he's planning to flip the estate for a profit, Finn is furious. It's time to get dirty.

"I couldn't give him what he needed four years ago - but I'm no better off now, either. This property is my last chance, and I have to make it count."

Houston Collier's luck has run out. He's always landed on his feet, but a recent business crash has left him with almost nothing. Nothing but the hope for a more successful future - with Finn, the man he left behind all those years ago. Seducing Finn back into his bed and into his life isn't going to be easy with all the hurt that lies between them - but Houston is up for the challenge.

Welcome to Worthington, Texas, where the heat doesn't just rise in the summer - you'll feel it all year long in these stories of older men and their younger lovers. Every book in the Worth It series can be read on its own, but with so many familiar characters to love, why stop with just one? This book features stories of a lost treasure, a fierce competition between two lovers, and the redemption to be found in second chances.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Worth It series. In this book, Finn is angered to hear his family home has been sold, after he has been saving to try and get it back. Houston comes back into Worthington and buys the old MacNamara estate with the intentions of renovating it and sell it to an investor. Houston and Finn had a brief fling three years ago and Houston left without a word and broke Finn's heart. Houston is older and the uncle of a friend of Finn's. When Finn see Houston back in town at a wedding, he runs away from him. When Finn learns Houston bought the house, he declares war and decides to d o everything in his power to make it a hard time for Houston. Finn has a lot of family papers for the house and plans to bring in the historical society to ruin Houston's plans for renovating the house. Houston regrets leaving Finn and he wants him back, so he hires him to help with the house as an adviser. There is an attraction between Finn and Houston and Finn thinks he will use Houston and then cast him aside like Houston did to him. I loved this story. I loved Finn from the previous books. I thinks he was great and funny. I think he really cared for Houston, but was hurt. Houston know he hurt Finn and he regrets it. This is a great series and had great characters. Well done.

This was a second chance romance story and one where a younger guy falls for an older man and not just an older man but his friend Ethans uncle and holds a secret fling with him until one day Houston disappears without so much as a goodbye and he never expects to see him again.I have enjoyed this whole series so far! I've liked finn's character from the very beginning and was excited to finally read this story and its was a cute and fun read. I feel like k enjoyed his character better in the other books though. He had funnier and wittier comebacks and responses and was more out there and he was a bit toned down in his own story and I really liked his character being lively and super opinionated and funny. I did enjoy his and Houston's story though and im glad he finally got his happy ending instead of just always witnessing his friends get it.Never did he imagine it would be with his old crush and fling from a few years ago and never did he think something like his families old estate he was fighting for would bring them together and then apart all over again once finn finds out what role Houston has in the whole situation. Either way Houston knows what a huge mistake he made the first time letting finn get away and refuses to make that mistake again.

New book in the series. I loved it.

Three years ago, Finn's heart broke when Houston abandoned him without saying goodbye. When they see each other again, could they have a second chance?

I love how Finn fights for what is his, but not because the house belonged to his family, but because it's the place where he grew up, where he has all his memories. He was happy there, and it's where he wants to have a future. Years of saving, and then he loses the house unexpectedly, and at the hands of the person who hurt him the most. He has not been able to forget him. He wants to show him that he did, but he doesn't always succeed.

Houston never meant to hurt Finn. He thought it would be better to stay away from him, but it wasn't. He didn't forget him either. I love that he asks for forgiveness, that he doesn't hide, that he tells him the truth. Although I also understand why Finn is angry with him, because he didn't let him decide. I also love Houston telling him that he didn't buy the house to hurt him.

I love their rivalry, how it starts with a single goal, winning the house, but how it turns into healthy rivalry, how they collaborate in the decisions.

I loved seeing Ethan. And I love Jace.

This is the fourth in the series and I have been really enjoying them and looking forward to Finn's story. He has appeared in all the previous stories and has been a bit of a hard boiled wise adviser to previous protagonists. He has been doing everything he can including dancing as a go-go dancer at a pretty seedy dive to get money to reclaim his childhood home, McNamara House. A beautiful old building crammed full of not just his own family history but the history of the region. This all goes sky high when his ex Houston, who ghosted him years previous turns up having bought MacNamara house to flip so he can rebuilt his fortune. A big part of the reason why he chose to return is because he has realised the mistake he made in leaving Finn. So buying the house Finn was selling his soul for, not a great start. There are so many sex scenes in this book that it actually detracted from the flow of the plot. Never thought I would say that, there is a twist to the plot when all seems lost so they get their happy ending.

This is a marvelous & intriguing “second chance” MM romance. The story-line & plot is interesting, well-thought & written. The characters are unique & quite well-developed with individual personalities which results in occasional verbal confrontation and/or verbal conflict; at times they entwined fairly well with each other.
There is: a male stripper trying to obtain his deceased grandparents home from the bank (Finn MacNamara), a caring friend (Jace), a almost bankrupt man & ex-lover that obtains the MacNamara’s home & grounds (Houston Collier), twists & turns, intrigue, drama, memories, chance meeting, intense dislike, confrontations, attempted apologies, anger, emotional turmoil, devious plans, historical proof, seduction attempt, flat-out rejection, determination, regrets, surprises, conversations, mild deceit, doubts, despondency, verbal conflict, heartache, discovery, surprises, verbal banter, happiness, love & steamy scenes. The tantalizing epilogue gives the reader a glimpse of what could be a future book.

3.5 ☆ not bad
Finn is a sassy, feisty, determined man who has been working tirelessly so he can buy his old family mansion. He is shocked and angry to discover that the man he has been unable to forget and who ghosted him three years ago just bought it. Houston has had a run of bad luck so he left California to buy and flip a house, hoping it will change his luck.
Finn has so many mixed emotions when it comes to Houston - anger, frustration, heartbreak, distrust, pain, denial, a strong sexual attraction - and it is clearly felt throughout this story.
Unfortunately, Houston's character is kind of flat and he does not seem genuine until the very end. It feels more like his thoughts are oh yeah, I had a fling with this guy.
I loved Finn from the previous books and in this one but the connection between him and Houston seemed one sided.

We got to know Finn in the first two books and he was always a larger than life character with a smart mouth and a quick wit and at the end of the last book you were given an impression of what had happened between Finn and Houston and an idea that things had not ended well. Reading Worth Wanting is like popping in to visit well-loved friends where you are incredibly comfortable and I can highly recommend the series as a whole for this exact reason. Finn and Houston have a lot of water under their bridge and now Houston has done something that has the potential of hurting Finn so much more than just walking away from him years ago. Can these two realise what is truly important in life and build something from the pain of the past and differences in what they want out of life or will they end up just as they had in the past?

This was a great addition to the series by Peter. We return to Worthington,Texas to the family historical home that Finn is trying to regain possession of. Houston, a former lover, returns as the investor in the home (that is being purchased by a newly rich tech developer). Needless to say there are a lot of unresolved feelings, since Houston left three years earlier, without a word. But chemistry, passion and communication go a long way towards healing the rift between the two men. But will it be too little too late, especially after Finn gets the home designated as a historical site and Houston is trying to rebuild his finances and career? Remember though, some old houses hold lots of secrets...even from those who thought they knew everything there was to know about the home he's loved since he was a child. History has a way of surprising us!

Another fantastic addition to the Worth It series and this is book 3. Finn and Houston were lovers a long time ago but Houston left and broke Finn’s heart. Finn has been wanting to buy back his childhood home that his father lost when Finn was just a child and he wants it back but when his ex lover Houston turns up and says that he owns Finn’s childhood home and that he is going to flip it and Finn is absolutely furious because Houston knows how much that estate means to Finn. With Houston’s last business crashing down he’s nearly broke and he has no choice, Finn doesn’t care to hear Houston’s excuses and now Finn has declared war on Houston and Finn’s not going to make it easy for him especially when Finn wants the site declared a historical site. I loved this story Finn was so funny but there are a couple of emotional scenes too, this is such a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Three years ago Finn believed he and Houston were in a committed relationship, whereas Houston just thought it was a fling and didn't realize how much his leaving hurt Finn. When Houston bought Finn's family estate to flip, all hell broke loose when Finn found out. Ethan hit the nail on the head when he told Houston that it was like exhuming Finn's loved ones and that's why he was so obsessed with the estate. Jace tried to be the voice of reason for Finn by telling him it was just a house and asking wouldn't he rather have someone to come home to instead of an empty house. Houston more than made it up to Finn when he made an amazing discovery in the house. I laughed at Finn meting out punishment and Houston returning the favor.

Houston had left Finn when he left Worthington and has now bought Finn's family home to repair and sell on.
Finn caught a glimpse of Houston at a wedding and was surprised to see him back after the way he just left town and dumping him. Finn has been saving to try and buy back his family home and is distraught when it comes up sold. He is even more annoyed when he finds out Houston is involved in buying and rebuilding the mansion. He gets the Historic Society involve to cause Houston and his client more problems. Houston finds he is still attracted to Finn and wants to get him back but realizes he has a lot of work to do. A MM romance to relax and enjoy.

Finn has been working hard as an exotic dancer to get the money to buy his family's estate back. He finds someone has bought it and it is someone from his past. Houston left Finn three years ago. No explanation. Just left. Now Finn is furious and will do all in his power to find a way to get the estate back from Houston. Both drawn to each other and both needing the estate. One emotionally and one financially. Who will win this tug of war? Will they find each other again or will the past and present get in their way? An excellent story with a second chance for two men with the same goals...an estate and love worth fighting for.I would definitely recommend this book to read. Loved Finn and Houston’s story, it definitely wasn’t what I expected and was so much better! They get a second chance to finally get their happily ever after.

It isn’t easy when your ex turns up and buys the house you have spent years trying to buy back from the bank. His family estate has been his single focus for years and when his ex comes back and buys it so he can renovate and sell it makes Finn go a little crazy. He is out of options and has finally realized he can’t do anything to get it back when Houston throws a curve ball that will change both of their lives forever.

You will fall in love with Finn and his silver fox Houston

This is steamy, dramatic and entertaining. Finn is vulnerable, determined, bold and stubborn. Houston is cocky, cheeky, a little sleazy and desperate. They had a brief relationship 3 years ago that ended when Houston left without a word to Finn. Now Finn finds that he's bought his childhood home to flip, a place that Finn's put his heart and soul into trying to buy back. So Finn decides that he's going to do whatever he can to interfere with and stall Houston and the investor from renovating and damaging the house. Finn also decides to give he and Houston another chance, or at least pretend to. Things go from bad to worse to intriguing, with the house, and with the relationship.

The third book in Peter Styles series "Wanting It" was the best in the series so far.

Worth Wanting takes you along a journey, in which Finn and Houston rekindle a past that ended abruptly, suddenly and without reason.

Their paths cross, in a way accidentally but not totally without intention. A family estate, that had day vacant for years, is the crux of Finn and Houston interacting, fighting, hating and living one another.
Will a brick and mortar structure interfere with true, passionate inevitable love? Will one allow their past to dictate the future? Will the heat, sexual desires and true compassionate love won or will the estate be the end of two souls destined to bring united? I suggest you read this truly intriguing and fascinating story of Houston and Finn!

Finn deserved better than Houston

Finn is so precious. He's the friend that you lean on and take advice from with a side of sass. He's strong, independent and deserves to be loved more than what Houston could give.

I hated Houston from the beginning. He's conniving, manipulative, selfish, creepy cringy and I'm sure I could find more adjectives to describe Houston.

Where were Finn's friends to give him good advice? Hello Ethan? Caleb? Jace was too new a character for me to trust. He pretty much sided with Houston anyway.

I can't even right now... Houston doesn't love Finn. He's in lust. Finn deserves so much than and shouldn't have to settle.

I didn't like this as much as the first 2 books in the series, despite it being Finn's story. He was "fun" in the other books and I just didn't see this here. The other main character Houston, despite claiming at one point that he came back for Finn, is more invested in turning a profit on the MacNamara Estate. Finn has quite unrealistic hopes of buying his former family estate and a lot of the story deals with the push/pull between them about bricks and mortar. So, despite being a second chance romance, I couldn't believe in a HEA until close to the end.

There are lots of typos once again, so a good edit is needed.

Peter is one of my favourite authors in M/M romances. I just recently discovered him and there is so much more to read from him, but I know I will enjoy them. Finn and Houston‘s story was another great one. The Worth it series is so great. I was really curious about what happened between Finn and Houston. This one had a great storyline between their arguments because of the estate and than their attraction. The end left me speechless and I hope part 4 is about Jace. Poor guy.... thanks for those great books.

Great series

So I have read each book in the series and each. One has been sooo good. I love the older man/younger man theme. This one had Houston and Finn fighting each other but it was almost like foreplay. Each encounter has them entangled in desire. I also love that these books have been released so quickly that I can continue reading the series. Can't wait for the next one!

Houston we have a problem or three!! I found Houston mercenary and shady at times. He acted like he was helping Finn, but he was self serving and cared more for his own finances than Finn's heartbreak! He did a surprise 180 AFTER Finn refused contact with him and he made a discovery at the house. He was all in with the buyer until then, so I question his true intentions! Not a fan of Houston. It seemed money was the deciding factor in whether they had a future!!! Only my opinion.

Second chances are can be so magical. You get the good, the bad and the dirty. This had all three.

I was super excited to read Finn's story, as this is the third installment of the Worth It series. I loved his character and friendship in previous stories, but I didn't love his mate, Houston. I had wished there was more to Houston than there was.

Worth the read as part of the series.

We finally get Finn's story. Finn had an affair with Houston three years ago. Houston left without telling him, now he's back. It's a roller coaster ride with these two with Finn having a hard time trusting Houston because of the way he left him three years ago. I'm really enjoying this series. I hope there's more stories to come.
