Sweet little follow up to one of my childhood favorites. Fun to revisit Megan and friends, but this one didn’t have the same heart. Still great for middle grades.
Megan, who has overcome a lot of her awkwardness, is still a little bit of a klutz. Always on a mission to improve her self-confidence, enters a beauty pageant with hilarious results. Always likeable and relateable Megan learns how to shine. I loved this book as a kid, definitely recommended (if you can find it any longer)!
The 5 stars is based on the memory of my 11 year old self. I just bought this for my 11 year old daughter, so I'll do an update after she's read it and I've reread it. But I remember loving this book.
I would never have expected the Klutz in a beauty pageant. But she is no overnight Cinderella success. She still stumbles and trips and looks the fool. But she finally finds confidence.
