For such a short book, this has quite a lot of detail. There are eyewitness accounts and interviews from the trials as well as general background information leading up to the trials. There are also excerpts from the various laws covering witchcraft and how they were used at Pendle. Included is a select bibliography for further reading. There are also several illustrations from maps to family trees. All up a good little introduction to these witch trials.
Definitely very informative and I liked the order that the trials took place in near the end and what each of the accused pleaded. It is a good account
An interesting short read with plenty of information. Offering general background, eyewitness accounts and interviews from an leading up to the trials.
