I LOVED IT! I loved this series. I had already previously read books 1-3 several years ago but decided to reread it and wanted more so and didn't realize there were more. Lol. So first I have to say this is an intense series and very dark. The suspense is crazy. I fell in love with Mick and Faren. I really loved Book 7 Thorn. In books 1-3 he starts out as someone you hate to love and love to hate I thought he was a real scumbag and as he starts to redeem himself and things begin to be revealed it blew my mind. I never saw that coming! When his past comes out I was shocked. I really loved how things turned out for him. At times the suspense was so intense it had me bouncing in my seat. Then there's Kiki lol. I LOVE HER!!! Her character is hilarious and they all have a horrible past. When Chet comes into the picture I instantly didn't like him. He's an arrogant pretentious @sshole, and the way he trys to push his way into Kiki's life is frustrating and then as with all the books, as things start to be revealed he also becomes someone you love. All the books in this series and all the characters have been through horrible terrifying lives and it's hard to wrap your mind around that things like this actually happen. At times I was crying and at times my heart was breaking. Then you have these heartwarming moments and it's a perfect balance of both. Then sex scenes are off the charts smokin hot and will leave you sweating. Lol. I highly recommend this series everyone but be warned it is some very dark content.
More like 3.5 stars. . . Better than just okay but not great. This set consists of five books, which are all connected, but I wouldn't put them in the Psychological Thriller genre. There is romance, but these books are somewhat dark with abuse issues and some violence, which could be triggers.
I really did like the first two books, but books three and four, not as much. . .more sex than story. The final book seemed a little unrealistic despite an exciting ending, albeit a little rushed. In the end all the couples get to their HEA.
I will occasionally read a darker book because I am interested in the psychology of the characters and the author. This set of books are full of possible triggers for persons who have survived sexual abuse, child abuse, and/or emotional abuse. Anyone who has problems with BDSM topics should avoid these books. Anyone who has been a victim of sexual exploitation of any type should avoid these books. A warning should be stated in the blurb or title page. Some books are darker than others. These books are dark enough to give one nightmares
The ones that I thought were the bad guys turned out to be abused and tortured souls who fought and found their new beginnings. This was a great read as well as very hot and steamy. Loved this book from beginning to end. The HEAs are the best part. They all found their other half.
This series is epic and everyone you become invested in throughout the series gets their HEA including the the thought to be bad guy. The s a bit dark, but not gross
Loved this series, and loved how everyone got a happy ending. Some parts were hard to read, but the ending of each story wouldn't have been so touching without the hard parts. Loved it
Fantastic! I was totally blown away by this series. Unexpected story lines. Loved the plot twists and well formed characters which made this series un-put-downable.
This book had so much twist and turns that involved a lot of Love. I just couldn't stop reading. I LOVE this Bundle It was hard to put down. The women stole the men hearts and grave them a,run for their money.
These five books describe damaged and violent individuals who find happiness, although not normal happiness, with other damaged souls. Very interesting series.
I don’t understand how this book has 4+ stars. I could barely make it through the first 20 chapters. Glad I got it for free. It’s just so laughably bad and all over the place with the plot and conversations. Two stars because it could be a great story, but it just lacks.
I thought this book was good. I read many of the books within the series. I stopped when we got to finish with the two main characters. I’d recommend this author and I would read her again.
