Life changing

A wonderful book I came across as it was on Kindle unlimited. I always said I didn’t particularly like Padre Pio due to his brusqueness and unattractive manner. This book has completely changed my view which was based entirely on ignorance. Padre Pio please help me increase my faith. Thank you.

I will begin by stating that I have a very special place in my heart and soul for Padre Pio. When I visited San Giovanni Rotondo back in 2017, my love and devotion to him only increased. I have read many books about this saint, and I am always searching for new and authentic information about him. I am so pleased to have found this book. I read it each night, and came to admire Adolfo Affatato. It is clear to me that Padre Pio called him, and the Holy Spirit inspired him to write this beautiful memoir. Adolfo met Padre Pio and was able to witness the holiness, humility, and very human traits of this holy man for 16 years. Adolfo's life was forever changed by that call, and he shares his gift with the world now, for the glory of Padre Pio, and of course, for our Lord. Great photos, too.

This book changed my life

I was spiritually reunited with Padre Pio after reading this wonderful book. I know he is watching over me now and for the first time, I can actually feel God’s love for me. I recommend this to anyone who is searching for peace and serenity in their life.

I enjoyed the stories about Padre Pio but some of the theological points written by the author seemed problematic to me. For instance, he writes "it was Padre Pio who represented the crowning achievement of God’s creation, his masterpiece." This book does not have an imprimatur or nihil obstat that I could find, so I would take the theology with a grain of salt.
