The story of Gatsby could really show you that no matter how rich you are you can’t have everything. And it’s s not necessary for the person you love to sacrifice his/her life for you, even if you were welling to do that it is not necessarily that others would do it too.

Sad. Glad I didnt spend my time reading the original. More reasons why I am against the general hype claiming "true love" when people don't fucking move on when their love interest have said/acted with rejection.
Snape's life would have been better had he moved on.
Gatsby surely wouldn't have died if he had moved on.
So, the moral of the story is "MOVE ON" people.
There are 8 billion people on earth, seriously, move on!

Really very slowly moving. Difficult to understand in places. It all came together for me within the last 80 pages or so.
There are some really good themes represented but it never hit home for me.

I read this for english class and if you go below the surface and look at all of the metaphors and motives and other literary elements hidden in this book it is a masterpiece. that being said I thought the last chapter was kind of boring.
