When Vivian falls for a fluffy grey puppy at an animal shelter, she has to pretend to be in a relationship to get the dog. Her friend Sabrina is a convenient "girlfriend." Vivian has a huge crush on Sabrina, and Sabrina's secretly in love with Vivian. When their fake relationship is put in the spotlight, how long will they be able to play pretend?
This was an enjoyable story of love and friendship, taking responsibility and learning to be responsible Jackson combines humor and witty dialogue within a story of friendships, love, loyalty and determination. The banter between the main characters had me laughing and at times frowning, because I could relate to it on a personal level. I have to say, I loved the segments from the perspective of Lady Gray…after all, who doesn’t love puppies and wonder how they would talk! Don’t think that this is all just fun and light-hearted, there are some lessons we can all take away from the story. Consequences of our decisions also affect others. Sometimes things may turn out favorably, sometimes it can be a struggle. Yes, it is a fun book, but don’t lose sight of a deeper message either. I think you will enjoy it, I did!
You've been friends like forever. She's your girl crush. If only she would realize you're her plus one. Bree and Viv are at a crossroads. Did I mention Lady Gray? There's a reason for that. I want you to read their story. It's good. Believe that!!!
