Chicano Magical A River of Wolves is a memoir of Dr. Jesus Carrera Guerra; He leaves his deathbed stories of his life who were like wolves chasing him. It beings in a Mexican American Varrio, Las Tripas Secas-The Dry Huts- In Anaheim, California in the Fifties; and on through the convulsions of the Sixties and Seventies; and ultimately finding some resolution in the 21st century. There is a loss and discovery of love. Through out this book you will find a tender compassion that forms it's heartbeat. Alcoholism and addiction seems to have him by the throat but out of the darkness appears a mysterious Curandero Don Gregorio who becomes his Spiritual Guide and who teaches him work with the energies tonalli which form the material and nuahualli the subtle energy that moves the universe and human life. It is this wisdom that lights the way from this life to the next.
