I have a weakness for novels based on my favorite movies or TV shows, and I've long loved this film. When a friend told me this novel existed, I immediately found a copy and read it. It's a small book, but a fun one, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Adapted from the script for the Disney film, it's obviously what today would be called a junior novel. A dozen or so full page illustrations accompany the text.

Fun, if brief, stylish novelization of the Walt Disney TV movie! I love this. It’s actually well written but don’t expect anything expanded or developed much beyond the content and dialogue found in the show itself. Still I had a great time reading this right after watching the Disney Movie Club blu-ray of the show. Probably more comparable to a junior reader book but the story makes for a fun adventure that never overstays its welcome. Includes a few simple ink line illustrations throughout.

3 1/2 stars. Fun little blast from my past. Not particularly well written but brings back fond memories of Sunday nights and The Wonderful World of Disney.

To be such a short book it was a hard read for me personally! It was fun as a Disney fan for me to read.

I mean, it's a novelization of an old Disney movie that no one ever talks about. It's as good as it could be.
