With Tarek away on a hunting trip, and T’mai gone off to round up more of the uncovered conspirators, Brennaugh is the only one qualified to provide assistance when an entire squadron of his best men go missing on S4. Four days. He should have only been gone for four days. He gave his word.
-PLEASE DON’T LET GO.
Tara awakens from a nightmare to discover her worst fears have come true. The rescue party has been ambushed, and Brennaugh has been captured by their enemy. Tara knows Brennaugh is still alive—she can feel him—but all she can sense through their bond is white hot primal fear and anger. Ignoring all protests about concerns for her safety, Tara joins the reinforcements on S4, determined to find her mate and bring him home.
I just wanted to let the folks know that I don't very often find myself on the ol' Goodreads site. I have too many social media accounts to keep up with and a new website.
If you have questions about books, updates, or want to share what's on your mind, you're better off hitting me up via email or Facebook. Or visiting my website!
The past and present intertwines in a very good way!
Tara was incredibly strong and true to her mate, while Bren, was a total dick when, when he woke up in human form again, !!! I so wanted to slam a tree on his head!
I admired Tara and her will to do everything for her mate ! Her feelings were so very well explained!
Bren's mother was a total nut-case, so I'll not waste words to describe how much I hated her!
I also loved Hollen and his actions were that of a true friend. I hope he will get his book, so I'll be waiting for it! :)
Tara and Bren. This author continues to amaze me! This book has a great Sci-Fi world with shape-shifting Aliens. But more than that, it has all the feelz that you could ever want in a book. I got caught up and carried away. I hope the author continues to write more in this series.
I was a little disappointed that we went back to an already established mating rather than a new human/Sarazen romance, but the plot and drama were excellent, and I loved all the little hybrid kids. T_T
I found that some significant plot details were skimmed over quite abruptly (like ) even though there were other POV chapters in the book, which meant that we shouldn't have only been limited to what the FMC Tara experienced, which is why I knocked off a star. As a saga, I would have been very interested in those nitty gritty details. :)
I had mixed emotions going into this book. I normally don't like going into a book where the romance it's already established . The wooing and chase is the best part.
The first half of of this book was Tara being depressed over Bren losing his memory and going somewhat insane. It made the story slow and depressing. The first half of the book is 3. The second is a 4 so overall, 3.5 rating....
I did enjoy Clary slapping Bren's mom. Bitch deserved it. It was awesome how the Gwen, Clary, and Andi were protective and supportive of Tara. I was glad Tara stood up for her unborn baby and didn't allow herself to be bullied into aborting her baby.
Bren disappointed me when he allowed his mom to disrespect his mate. He knew Tara suffered and instead of comforting her, he let his mom bitch him out and call his mate names. Tara went through so much for him. Hell, she let him brutally screw her when he was out of his mind to the point she had to be in a regeneration bath to heal her mutilated body! She had to go through being shunned and judged alone throughout her pregnancy. He only drew the line when found out his mom wanted to poison Tara to kill the baby. Jerk!!! At least he quickly came to his senses and cut his mom off.
The new side characters were great. Byrne, Hollen (LOOOOOVVVEEE him), and Tygge were such sweeties. It was nice to see Ohlen and Andi again. Orrick was too cute. I wonder if he will eventually be mated to Tara's baby... hmmmmmm

I download the ku version this morning and have finished the book. I truly enjoyed the book. I have looking forward to Tara and Brenaugh story for months. It fabulous in parts, I laughed, I cried, and I was overwhelmed with emotions in parts. It was not a disappointment. Of course, none of Ms. Wroth's books are. I have enjoyed all that I have read; my favorite series though is Sarazen's Sage Books. I'm looking forward to Meg's book. Hope its soon! Meanwhile, I keep "stalking" Ms. Wroth's facebook page anxiously awaiting all crumbs she will give us. lol.
Isabel Wroth is an amazing author that always leaves me hanging for more. I love how the heroine is so genuine and common sense. This view into the Sarazen couples was really lovely.
This is a great series. I would recommend reading all of the authors books. I love how the characters in the book flow together. Thank you for writing another amazing book.
The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is because, for me, it's tied for 3rd place in the series. I find it really hard to explain how great the books in this series are, and how consuming they can be. These are stories you get lost in, and mourn when you finish. The H's are all such strong, commanding, and fierce warriors while at the same time so tender and loving to their mates and cubs you melt. And the h's strength and grace through so much trauma, change, and uncertainty is so inspiring you root for them and their mates hard. I originally read each of these books through the KU program, and have ended up buying each one because I loved them so much. I cannot wait for the next book! Guess I will just have to re-read the series for about the 100th time until it comes out.
While more than ready for some string tying, I do appreciate a good story, interesting characters, and some happy endings in the meantime. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these Sarazens, and look forward to the next adventure.
I say this with each book ,but this one is my favorite. Love the cover too. You feel all the emotions with this series. Each book , to me, gets better and better. This series would be awesome read by Adam Gold and Kate Marcin or Noah Michael Levine and Erin Deward . The guys read all the male voices and the ladies read all the female voices. Perfect.
Brennaugh and Tara have been together for four years. No cubs yet, and aren't in a hurry. They are happy just being together. Brennaugh heads up Tarek's Council, and while he is currently away he is in charge of the pride. The team Brennaugh sent to S4 into the investigate Old Council, fails to check in. Brennaugh decided to lead, his team in to investigate, leaving Tara in charge and in the capable hands of Hollen and his team. His team is ambushed and Brennaugh taken. Through their link Tara finds an angry and fatal mind. She insists on going on the rescue mission Hollen is leading. While he doesn't recommend her going, he bows to her wishes. Tara has a plan. She is going to uses herself as bait. What they find is a hidden lab. A stolen child. Brennaugh reduced to instinct, and in his cat form. Part of Brennaugh 's mind has been stolen. Tarek sends warriors to S4 to find the rogue scientist. Brennaugh's family arrives to offer support. Tara's surprise pregnancy and the way it came about has Brennaugh's mother convinced the baby will be feral. Tara has the support of her friends, Hollen and Brennaugh's youngest brother Bryne. When Brennaugh 's mind is restored, he nearly breaks. Tara's heart when he learns about his daughter. The women aren't happy and Hollen has Tara's back, and stands his ground in his protection and support of her. Then his youngest brother, Bryne, who took Tara as a sister, and has tried to support her as a good brother would do. Fast paced and steamy. Loved Tara and Brennaugh 's story. More is learned about the enemy. Cassie has some creditable ideas about what has been really been going on. Can't wait for the next book. Loved Hollon and Bryne, hope they find their own human mates. Great ending with Brennaugh's father and brothers.
This book was very well written with a great plot that kept my interest. I've loved all the stories and love finding out what happens if has happened to characters from the earlier books.
This book is about Brennaugh and Tara. During a rescue mission Brennaugh is captured and the majority of his consciousness is stolen. He reverts back to his beast form. Tara joins the mission to rescue him. During the rescue they find a hidden lab and a small cub Tara realizes belongs to Ohlen and Andi. A son they did not know had been born. They find where Brennaugh was held and where the enemy has been cloning a deadly snake type enemy to turn lose on a planet which has the ability to take over and destroy a planet in a short time. Brennaugh has only his subconscious mind left and has taken his beast form. Tara takes a great risk to get him back and stays with him every day until his recovery. Getting the data cube his stolen memory was put on takes six months and brings to light more of the council's plans .
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written, fast paced, and held my interest. I look forward to it the next one.
Enjoyable fast paced action packed. full of betrayal, valour and epic struggles. My only (petty) complaint is the nauseating massicating spelling of the baby talk. Not to leave my review on a sour note as I thoroughly enjoyed this book, let's move on. When the commander is captured, his mate must rise and rescue him. a bedside vigil challenges her patience and determination. Satisfying some questions but leaving plenty more, I enjoyed the way the plot was fresh and didn't rehash old adventures. a satisfying amount of spice, and some babies to sweeten the plot. That this is not yet a completed series is both good and bad. waiting is not my favourite, but also, happy it continues. Some of the offshoot books I'll never read, as they feature why choose or reverse harem feature, mfm which is on the NEVER read pile for me. Enjoy this author and exploring her back catalogue. she deserves more acclaim and readership.
Tara was one of the original humans rescued from the Starsong. She was reluctant to be mated to Brennaugh, a scarred and fierce warrior, but four years later she could not be happier with him. When he's called off-planet to find some missing soldiers, Tara agrees to wait for him. But when he doesn't return and his crew believes he's gone feral, Tara knows she's the only one who can save him.
I really liked Tara and how she handled everything that was thrown at her in this novel. She didn't buckle under the stress and in fact came out shining on the other end. My heart hurt for her and what she had to deal with from Brennaugh's mom and family, but I loved hower protective she was of him and her pregnancy. I also loved how Brennaugh loved her, and how he realized his mistakes and apologized to her.
I started this book excited because I read Ilaria's story and was teased into wanting to read Tara and Brennan's story. I was not disappointed but was dismayed at the dreaded "cliffhanger" ending. Every book I read with a cliffhanger gets a star less. This was a great story, no grammar mistakes, I loved this couple, I liked that other people's stories intertwined with theirs yet did not take away from them being the centre of the book. So, I am sorry Ms. Wroth, this is a 5 star book but I feel cheated. Just get the other book out so I can settle my mind and get over this book hangover please.
The plot thickens... the games a foot... another brilliant install ember in this series.... and finally we get Tara and B’s story... since the moment we were first introduced to B in book one I wanted...no needed his and tara’s Story, and it didn’t disappoint!
Filled with all the feels and emotional heartbreak and pain that Isabel is and will forever be known for I loved every page. All the feels from a number of characters, that we have grown to know and love, added to make this book a heartwarming affair.
I love this series and I’m sad now.. that I have to wait for more... I need Moose and Gwens story!!!
I get a thrill each time I see a new story in Isabel Wroth's Sarazen universe. Starting with the first book to this latest part of the saga, I'm addicted to the characters and their lives.
It's not often that you find an author who can make you say, "may I have some more, please" with the first book , but Isabel Wroth is one of the select few. I laugh, cry and hope with each character, they are that real to me when I'm immersed in one of these books.
So, pretty please, Mz. Wroth, may we have some more!!!
This is the kind of book that you read when you have a block of time to let yourself to be swept away by the story. I have to stop reading at one point , I was crying so hard and laughing out loud at other parts. Take a Chance read it , you'll either love the characters or not but try reading the other book first before you said no to the whole series.😊
Like the other books of this series I totally loved this story. The mystery part of this series really thickens in this book. The love stories in this series are beautiful and heart touching. These books have a great storyline and aren't just sex, sex, sex. There are sexual senses in these books but that isn't the main focus. I highly recommend this series. Waiting excitedly for the next book.
Read the first book by chance and was immediately hooked by the characters and the world the author built. Have read each book since and thought they were all great. This one tears at your heart a little bit but then as usual the sneaky cats do the right thing and the love shines bright!
This book does not disappoint. It delves deep into Brennaugh and Tara’s connection while showing exactly how strong and to what lengths Tara will go to save her family. Tara’s discovery while searching for Brennaugh gives Ohlen and Andi hope. You won’t be able to put this book down.
I have read every book she has written. They continue to soar to height above and beyond imagination. Fury is just as great as the other novels by Ms. Wroth may you continue to write. Your female characters are some of the strongest people I have yet to read about. May they continue in strength.
What to say? This is a fabulous story of twists and turns that the reader couldn't possibly imagine. The further relationship of Tara and Bren, the birth of their baby girl and the new leads on the traitors jeopardizing the future of the Sarazen Pride are just a few of the high points. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!!
Kind of wished I had waited to start reading this series. Now I have to wait for the next one and I am a impatient person. I will be first in line to get the next book ( even if I have to fight other people). You will hang on every word and wait for the next chapter in this series. So come read one of the best series I have read.
Spoilers warning: I do not like the direction the last 2 books have gone with the cloning thing. The idea of cloning leaves this storyline with to many questions and opens up a mile-wide plot-hole. I loved the first 3 books. I was looking forward to Tara's storyline and was enjoying it till the cloning twist at the end.
I was unsure how well this installment would go because it has been four years since Tara and Bren met/mated. I enjoy seeing the relationship develop and overcoming obstacles together. I have to say, though I shouldn't be surprised, Ms. Wroth did it again and I was highly satisfied! Now I just need the next one!
