Oh, I'm a sucker for a good and sweet sports romance.
I first found out about this book when Teagan sent the first chapter to the members of her newsletter and with only that chapter, I was hooked and super curious about the story. Fortunately, it released soon after that and it was available on KU.

This was really good.
Kieran was not the usual smug manwhore jock, he is sweet and always had feelings for his very off-limits best friend's little sister. Since he started at the team, her brother made him and all the team stay away from her, so he agreed but after years, his feelings were the same for her.
Joey is the team nutritionist and her brother is also a player. She's great at what she does but Kieran is the only one that can make her brain stop functioning.
They stay away from each other because of her brother but after a while, things start to get bigger. A troubled weekend in Vegas will turn everything for them.

I loved this book, read it in one sitting, it's a really quick read, funny and sweet. I enjoyed the characters and the story.
I'm imagining there'll be some story about her brother, because of that epilogue, and I hope it does. I'm curious about him.
Anyway, I love Teagan's work and this was no exception. :)

This was okay. The writing itself wasn't bad, but the story line just wasn't for me. Kieran and Joey have been dancing around each other for years, but haven't acted on their feelings because Baylor told Kieran to stay away from his sister. I kind of understand a brother wanting to protect his sister, but this goes beyond that. Baylor is a huge jerk, and Kieran and Joey are constantly walking on egg shells around him. Joey is always running away from Kieran every time something doesn't go her way. I would have loved for her to be a stronger heroine. The whole drama about whether she was drunk or not was just silly. Kieran suggested the whole thing, she asked him REPEATEDLY if he was sure, and he kept saying yes. Then she hides the fact that she was sober, and he loses his crap when it comes out. I just didn't understand it. The ending was sweet though, and these 2 get their HEA.

No no no! I have never read a book that made me soooo angry in my life. Hated ALL the characters. Couldn’t bring myself to finish this. Baylor is a selfish asshole, Kieran has no balls of his own. Joey is so wishy washy and I just wants to hate-smack Rachel.

Gorgeous Man Anyone? Forbidden fruit has never tasted so good. I absolutely adore the writing style of Teagan Kade and with the creation of Ballsy, this is just another example of her incredible talent and creativity for you to lose yourself in. The storyline is wonderfully executed and these two amazingly crafted characters find themselves fighting what is quite honestly simply meant to be (fated if you will). I love great romance books and Teagan has certainly delivered a compelling book for all of us junkies. Follow along as Kiernan & Joey steam up your e-reader. Kiernan might be a big and manly player but he is truly a big teddy bear that has caught the case of the hots for Joey, the nutritionist for his Team. He has secretly obsessed over her for years and if she wasn't his best friend, Baylor's, Sister; he'd certainly make a move. There is only so much he can handle until the passion he feels is going to get the best of him. Little does he know that she feels the same strong feelings for him. Oh my, even though there is drama, there is just so much to love about this book, as well as these two as a couple. While Joey's overprotective Brother is caught up in his own problems, things heat up between them and you find yourself cheering for them to get their happily ever after. Can they ever get their shot to find out? How do you hide the love you feel inside? Find out all of this and more in this impeccable and guaranteed to please new release from Teagan.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Ballsy in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Teagan Kade. She is a truly gifted Author that always exceeds my expectations.

This is a sweet sports romance featuring a football player and the little sister of his best friend. Kieran, though a tough, talented player and a manly man, is also a big teddy bear when it comes to Joey, the team’s nutritionist. Joey’s been crushing on Kieran for years but unable to act on her feelings. Her brother Baylor has made a career of being the overprotective, overbearing big brother while ensuring that his teammates away from her. As a result the couple have to hide their attraction and skulk around. When Baylor gets sidetracked by his own personal drama will this be their chance to take their feelings to the next level? I loved Kieran and Joey as a couple and particularly enjoyed the glimpse into their lives five years down the road. I thought Baylor was intense and over the top in his actions and reactions to most situations. There’s plenty of drama, angst, secrets, betrayals, conflict and several very steamy encounters.

It’s so hard to understand how such a smart guy can be so stupid when it comes to a woman, that is Baylor. His sister Joey does not like Rachel who Baylor wants to marry. I hate how mean Rachel is to Joey, and how she does malicious things to her. Poor Kieran, who is Baylor’s best friend, can’t stand Rachel either, but he doesn’t want to say anything to bring Baylor down. Baylor can’t see how he has changed for the worse since he got together with Rachel. Rachel is not a very nice person and flirts with everyone. I felt bad for Joey and Kieran because they had feelings for each other, but can’t do anything about it because Baylor has told Kieran to stay away from his sister. The team, Joey, and Rachel’s time in Las Vegas starts an avalanche of things to happen—some good and some bad. I loved the book, and strongly encourage you to read the book. This was a great sports romance, with the added angst being the fact that Kieran has fallen for his best friend and fellow teammate's sister Joey. To further complicate matters, she is also the team nutritionist. So she is at every game, cheering and supporting them. At first when their mutual attraction becomes too hard to resist, they try to keep their feelings and actions a secret so her brother Baylor does not throw a hissy fit. He is the overprotective big brother, who is also dealing with a fiance that is not on the favourites list of Joey or Kieran, however they do not want to further rock the boat.

The story flowed really well and the build up to Joey and Kieran finally being brave enough to admit their feelings left me feeling very happy indeed. Their worry over Baylor's feelings was always the major issue and at the end of the day, he just wanted his sister to be happy. I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC and this is my honest review.

This one was alright! I really couldn’t get into it. I couldn’t follow sometimes what was going on! I felt like part of this book took place decades ago! As there’s a reference to 1979 Tampa Bay Buccaneers!! I don’t think it does but I couldn’t figure out the reference!! The year could have been left out but still the reference I couldn’t understand.

I do love the overprotected brother. I just don’t felt the chemistry between Kieran and Joey There are parts where I wish both were speaking more to each other instead of reading their thoughts. Also Kieran overreacted when he found out Joey didn’t drink, But she should have told him she wasn’t drunk or didn’t drink. It would’ve been nice to find out what the reason was she hasn’t drank since college.

It was nice in the end to see five years ahead and find out they won the Super Bowl. That they had a four year old son and we’re expecting a daughter. It would have been nice to know the daughters name.

A Sweet Forbidden Romance

Ballsy is a sweet forbidden romance. Joey is the team nutritionist of a football team who has had a crush on Kieran St James, who is also her brother Baylor’s best friend and team mate. Baylor is so over protective of his sister and has warned the dazzling Kieran that she is off limits to him! The football team has to be united with no distractions, but hey in this story there are plenty of distractions and angst from the whole team! Will the lifelong friendship between Baylor and Kieran survive in this taboo relationship with Joey and how will it affect the team? Can Kieran show Baylor he no longer has a player reputation and how can he do that? Can they both man up and just tell Baylor the truth?
A well written read by Teagan once again that you must read!

One-Click this tremendous sports romance Ballsy by Teagan Kade!
This is quite possibly Teagan Kade's best book to day to put it simply Ballsy is just perfect; the perfect amount of steamy, the perfect chemistry, the perfect connection and Kieran is the perfect book boyfriend. This one has plenty of heat & steam, a wildly romantic connection, a bit of angst albeit possible self-induced, an all around incredible journey for Kieran and Joey, with a bit of Baylor's rocky journey on the side. Hopefully, Teagan has plans to add another magnificent read with Baylor's journey to his HEA (hint, hint Teagan Kade). Definetly one-click this fantastic read, Ballsy, the hot, sexy, swoon-worthy Kieran is one you won't want to miss!

Forbidden fruit really is sweeter when the attraction is true. This was a really great story that centers around Kieran and Joey. They have known each other since Kieran and her brother, Baylor started playing in the same football team. Baylor is overprotective of his little sister and tells all the guys to stay away from her. Kieran and Baylor are best friends, but he is tired of keeping his feelings for Joey under wraps. These two have been fighting their feelings and it all stops now. Joey and Kieran are so perfect for each other. Their chemistry is explosive and they have a strong connection that started as friendship and has grown into more. There is some drama in the form of family and “friends”. This was such a good read that I read it in one day. I couldn’t put it down. Pick this one up. It is a sweet romantic story with some steam.

This book was amazing!! I absolutely love most of Ms. Kades work, bit I think this one tops my charts. It has a very shy, but gorgeous football nutritionist and a very hot, sweet footballer that can knit. He knits!! What more can I say. However, Joey is Kieran's best friends little sister and he has a lot of guilt over liking her. They fight their attraction for years, but something got to give. They end up on Vegas and you can guess what happens next. This book is steamy and sweet too. It's a must have!! Can't wait to see what's next. I received an ARC copy of this book and loved it soooo much I had to buy a copy too.

Communication is key to any relationship. This is something Joey and Kieran have a hard time learning. Baylor, Joey's overprotective brother, doesn't help matters either. Adding alcohol and Vegas to the mix only makes things worse. See where this going? I suggest you read to find out what the end result will be. I will say that Kieran is one of my most favorite "book boyfriend" in a long time....love him!! The epilogue raises the question of future books. I hope so because there are secondary characters that deserve a HEA...especially Baylor.

Ballsy was a fun read for me. You've got Joey pining for Kieran you got Kieran pining for Joey and you've got Baylor standing between. When it was all said and done Joey needs to stand up for herself and put Baylor in his place. In my opinion Baylor is a sniveling, whiny and a bully. I liked both Kieran and Joey. They are cute and I could feel the attraction. They both have interesting quirks. I especially liked Kieran's hobby. That was an interesting tidbit. I enjoyed the journey that Kieran and Joey took to come together. Ballsy is a quick read full of angst and action. In my opinion Teagan Kade writes good sports themed stories. Absolutely loved this sweet and sexy read. Kieran and Joey have been attracted to one another for a few years and because of her overprotective brother Kieran has been trying to keep is attraction and himself in check. Joey is finally ready to let her feelings for Kieran known as well. The main problem for these two is what will happen once Joey's brother finds out? This was a well written book with just a hint of added drama in the form of Baylor (Joey's brother) and his girlfriend Rachael. The chemistry between Kieran and Joey is steamy and hot. Wonderful story with a wonderful HEA!

Kieran and Joey are crazy about each other but they have never even locked lips thanks to Joey's overprotective brother, Baylor, who also happens to be Kieran's best friend and teammate. Baylor has made it perfectly clear to all that Joey is off limits. However, the attraction between Kieran and Joey has reached a boiling point and they can't hold back any longer. Once they cross the line, going back to being just friends isn't an option.

I enjoyed this steamy, sweet, and funny football romance so much! The characters are great and Kieran and Joey have a megaton of chemistry. This story is an engaging, sexy, wild ride and I loved it. 4.5 stars

Joey is the football players nutritionist which is her brother Baylor and his best friends team. She has crushed on Kieran for years but thought he did not notice her. Kieran is a professional football player. He is crazy about his best friends little sister but was told to keep his hands off. Even though you know how it’s going to end, you can’t help but find yourself flipping the pages to get to that HEA. The storyline may be a little overused, but the characters in this book are absolutely a riot! You can’t help but fall in love with this raucous bunch. There are plenty of laughs; more than enough tears; and lots of situations where you just want to roll your eyes...thanks so much Teagan for a fun read!! Joey and Kieran had tried for years not to pursue the attraction they felt for each because of Baylor. They finally got sick of letting Baylor dictate their happiness when his own love life was so twisted. Joey and Kieran spent so much time trying to put out fires that Rachel caused that there were misunderstandings and secrets cropping up in their own relationship that nearly destroyed them. I laughed when Baylor became the voice of reason in his sister's relationship with Kieran after he spent years trying to keep them apart.

Kieran is Joey’s brother’s best friends as well as his teammate, and she is the nutritionist for the team and off limits. The chemistry between Joey and Kieran is explosive, but can they deny their feelings? This is a beautifully written story which is fun and entertaining, all which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I cannot wait to read more form this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

To sum it up:

H and h want each other but hide it because the h's older brother is a hothead, nutjob. I seriously wondered if he was on steroids throughout the story because his anger issues made no sense otherwise. H didn't stand up to the brother in anything until the very end but by then I was irritated with his lack of a spine. The h was better but why she put up with either brother or H made me wonder.

Overall a fun read.

Dual POV. Fair amount of sexy scenes with a little humor. My biggest issue was the missing details. For example, beyond green eyes and an athletic physique, I have no idea what Kieran looks like. Same for Joey. I don’t really know what positions the guys play and it took awhile to figure out everyone’s ages. Considering that the guys play for the NFL, their living and travel arrangements seem odd. Still a fun read.

DNF at 40 percent. Based on what I read, it was a 2.5 star read for me.

Felt like way too much narrative and not enough action and dialogue. Got tired of reading pages of angst from inside MCs' minds. Not sure the "her brother is his best friend" excuse is the most compelling reason why they shouldn't be together, but it was the one most heavily leaned on. Heroine waffled too much about wanting to be with Hero. The brother/best friend in the middle was entirely annoying.

Needed a good editor

I was really disappointed in this one. There were so many grammatical errors, spelling errors and so much repetition I wanted to scream. It seemed like there were 5 chapters dedicated to how much Joey's brother didn't want her and Kieran to be together. After reading the same thing for the third time, in 3 different chapters, I started skimming the story. I will NOT be reading anything else by Ms. Kade.

Joy and Kieran pander to her brother and his best friend, Baylor, for years. On top of this, they allow him to dictate their lives, making them even more miserable. A relationship between Joy and Kieran is once eluded to being against the team rules but nothing further is said. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Kieran has had a thing for his best friend's sister, Joey, for ages. Bro code tells him that he can't act on his feelings, no matter what, but after years of agony, he can't resist Joey's pull. She works with the NFL team both Kieran and Baylor play for and she's around and totally irresistible. One fateful night in Vegas and... suffice it to say that what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas.

Ballsy by Teagan Kade a five-star read that will give you the strength you may need. This proves once again what a talented author Teagan Kade is, Kieran and Joey have a great chemistry but when you throw in Baylor who is Joeys big brother and Kieran’s bestie it just adds to the mix and creates so much drama, some other authors maybe wouldn’t handle it so well, but this one just makes it sublime.
