it’s super rare to find a BL as if told from the gong/top’s point of view (and its well written), and I totally have a kick for immature, regretful tops. their jealousy, delusions, and arrogance drive me crazy but that’s also what makes them fun to read 😅 the gong’s backstory is tolerable nothing forced. he’s this athlete who only does one night stands, who doesn’t believe in love until he meets the su, and boom his whole world shifts.
the su, on the other hand, is this proper, passionate bottom who’s been in love with the gong for 10 years (he's so me fr). he manages to balance work and pining like a pro 😭 he’s popular too and dude has his own fanclub with both guys and girls crushing on him lol. most of the gong’s jealousy and delusions are all thanks to Lee Hajun, because he’s clearly the one for Moogyum 😎. moogyum's jealousy arc took 2 volumes lol
the chasing arc felt too short though I needed the gong to suffer more. at least we got to see him cry (welcome to the crying gong club, Kim Moogyum). the misunderstandings and miscommunication were frustrating, but reading from the gong’s POV made it both funny and painfully embarrassing in a good way.
overall, it was a really fun read. i just wish we got a bit more of Hajun’s side. the soccer parts were surprisingly well-written too, not dragged out or boring, so even if you’re not into soccer, you can still enjoy the story easily. there will also be cheesy moments that you should look out for. those cheesy moments made me giggle while reading. i will continue reading the side stories some other time. i dont want to miss them yet 😭
also, they are truly destined to meet again after so many years. their first meeting during childhood, their first game together, and their reunion after so many years... it not coincidence, they happened for a reason 😌😌
