Sadie Shane is a long-time believer in the saying, “Love conquers all.” She lives in the woods with her own personal mountain man and a growing menagerie of rescued animals. When she’s not writing she likes to read, bake, and scroll the internet for gorgeous lingerie to add to her wish list.
I devoured this book in 5 hours and that's a record for me. I was captivated by the first chapter, man it was non-stop action. I love romantic suspense, and even though there wasn't a lot of steamy moments between Baron and Willa you could feel the chemistry. Willa is a thief and Baron is ex-military who has his own security company and he describes what he does as negotiating for asset. Willa's best friend gets caught in Prague by the Karolev family, they are known as the wardens of the crime underworld of Europe. She gets roped into making a deal to save her friend. She tries to steal something from this house but it's not empty and she meets Baron, and oh what an introduction. Somewhere along the way they eventually work together to get her friend back. I love the little twists and turns this book had, I thought I had some figured out but nope. This author is new to me and I can't wait for the second book, it ends in a cliffhanger.

Willa is in a tight bind needing money to ransom her only friend. Baron has had a dry spell as he served his country and is attracted to Willa and the chance to fulfill his fantasy of tormenting her with rapture instead of the terror that was common in his job - coincidentally the same fantasy she harbors. How far will they go to ensure they get to fulfill that fantasy? Sadie Shane's writing keeps the reader on the edge of their seat while simultaneously squirming in heat.
